Looks like we are all off to a good start!

Kingdom Classic is a minimalist strategy game. This type of genre is a newer to me type, and I have enjoyed the ones I have played so far. This game took me a few tries as well as reading a couple of guides to really start getting the hang of it. But, once I got going I had a lot of fun playing it. I developed a lot of my own strategies once I figured out how things worked. Even though the game controls are very basic there are quite a few things to learn the trick of doing, like getting grassy areas early for hunting to get coins built up fast. And also how to "herd" deer. Although I found after the first few days, if you get a good grassy area going for the rabbits to graze, it's a waste of time to herd.

The game is in the classic 8 bit style, but the graphics look very nice, including the awesome reflections in the water! The goal of the game is to survive the attacks by the "greed". If you stay outside your defenses at night be prepared to either pay the greed or lose your crown. Beware though, if you lose your crown, you lose the game. The controls for the game are very basic, I recommend just using the arrow keys on the keyboard, all you need is the left, right and down keys and you are good to go. Along with the 8 bit graphics, the sounds are basic too, the music is a plus to the game.

All in all, this game is great fun and is also a challenge at the same time. The game is not so much of a challenge that it can't be completed with the achievements at 100%. I highly recommend this game to strategy lovers and also to those who love old skool looks! For this style of game I rate it a 9 of 10.

I'm lagging behind... I've been slammed for time in real life lately, so when I get a few minutes at the computer, I've been working on Faerie Solitaire Remastered.

I also have been playing a little Faire Solitaire.  Mostly my time is split between Elder Scrolls Online and Xenoblade Chronicles 2.  Xenoblade is a 100 hour game and Elder Scrolls is an MMO, so I don't see much getting finished for a while!

    Reverie (Point-n-Click Puzzle)

No options on this one, just point, click, experiment.  You can hit the 'z' button to zoom in/out, and that's about it!

What little sound there is in the game is turned waaaay down, so you'll need to pump up the volume if you want to hear anything.

This is a very short puzzle game with five chapters.  In each chapter there is a well with four crystals on it.  Hover your cursor over each crystal to see what your tasks for the level are.  Complete the four tasks and move on to the next level.

There are 21 achievements, all but one of which are tied to completing your tasks, so there is only one that you'll have to work for... and all it requires is
    Spoiler:
A little annoying since the game takes no more than 30 minutes to complete, but at least it's not as bad as the achievements in The Stanley Parable! Laugh

I had a weird glitch that made our character invisible for levels two to five, but was still able to complete the game with no trouble.

Recommended for those looking for a short, charming puzzle game.

I really enjoyed it and would recommend it. Its a sad story and has some really powerful imagery. Its a point and click adventure really, with some hidden object puzzles thrown in.

    I'm in.

    1. CrossCells
    2. PUSH
    3. Caligo
    4. Fall Of The New Age
    5. Namariel Legends

    CrossCells
A simple puzzle where every board has cells with numbers and you to pick the appropiate ones according to given clues. It's a Unity game made by the creators of Hexcells and quite similar. Good enough if bought on sale or bundled.

    PUSH
Another nice puzzle. You get presented with figures with buttons and you have to press them all. The trick is that there's some hidden rules about the order in which to press those buttons and sometimes there are switches that move things and make things more interesting. Some logic and a bit of spatial thinking will take you to the end.
A con in this game is that you are not shown how many puzzles are there and there's no selection menu.

I will have to give it a 6 out of 10. It's fairly easy to find things but not always that easy to figure out how exactly to do things sometimes. It has some funny moments. Wouldn't say it's bad, but it's definitely not special really.

Added another! Under Leaves, it says it took me 7 hours to complete. But, I left it on by accident while I was doing dishes, eating supper and also trying to fix the toilet. So my guess it should only take 3-5 hours depending on how good you can find the last object in each set, it's always the hardest, try to find it first  Rolling Eyes Gah!

In reality it is not that hard of a HOG game, but there are a few scenes that will really have you stumped.
This game is really just an HOG there are no puzzles. It's mostly fairly simple, but the game is relaxing and has some nice music. So if your tired or wanting to watch some TV and play, this is your game.

I like the graphics.  Offhand it doesn't look like it's very hard, and sounds like my first impression was right!  I do think my eldest would like it a lot.

Yeah it's not hard really. But as I said they are a quite a few scenes where that last object or two just hide very well.
