Well, I have no idea what game that is from, but it looks interesting!

I finally got a chance to start Fate's Carnival... gotta admit, I'm hooked. I think EG has brought this series back to life a little. I'm only at the very earliest stages, so I can't say for sure, but I'm really enjoying the puzzles and it's not bogged down with HO HO HOs.

So far, I'm a happy camper!

The screen is from The Fog: Trap for Moths, which came out at iWin today.  I'm sure it will find Big Fish soon, as Alawar games always do~

I haven't even tried the new MCF yet!

It looks good, Genki!  Finally something a little creepy!

Though I've got to admit, I'm enjoying Fate's Carnival. I've gotten to the second part of what appears to be twelve... and it's fun, challenging, and really atmospheric. I'm totally excited about playing the rest of this game, and frankly, that has NOT happened in a very long time.

The door lock puzzles are especially awesome. Whee! Happy bounce

Oh, wow! The Fog: Trap for Moths looks really good & creepy! I can hardly wait to play it!

The door lock puzzles in Fate's Carnival are hurting my brain and the Hint button & I have become close friends, lol!

I went to youtube to watch a gameplay video of The Fog (definitely creepy). I thought this was the game from Alawar, so I went to their site and it's not listed.
    Weird.

(I'm tempted to get it at iWin, but I guess I'll wait, although I'm not a very patient person. BFG better be getting it soon.)

How about long involved games with easy puzzles and tricky HOPs? As soon as you start with the awesome puzzles I start counting skips! Gah!

    Good morning djrum!

DJ, Alawar games always show up at Big Fish, but occasionally they go to the other portals first, as with some of the Alawar Stargaze games.  The Fog is out at GH today, so it shouldn't be too much longer.

Sad to say that I don't see it happening, but a girl can dream, right?

I'm really trying to savor the door lock puzzles. I've gone past the time on all of them so far, but I have figured them out. Go me!  Slowly. Silly face

@DJ - Hope your feeling much better.    Half Flower   If you've finished Fates Carnival....we need to talk!  More questions (as usual). Also have a question about Web of Deceit 2 with Morgana, our 'friendly' spider lady.  I forgot how to PM here & need to back read on how to do that to PM you.  (CRS has struck!)  Those puzzles in Fate's Carnival did it (they hurt my brain too)! lol

@Luvtoread - So good to see you.    Smile     Love your observations too. You know me & 'body count' totals. lol

@Just the Facts - Hi and very nice to meet you. Have read your reviews & found them to be very helpful.  "It's a good or bad game"..or "Its a buy for me" doesn't help me when I read reviews.   Wonder why?    Hmm...  I always look to see if the main game is wrapped up in the SE or if the CE is needed for an ending, how many HOS, puzzles, live actors, etc.   I read lots of reviews but know the reviews I can count on, yours and Genki's being among them.  My thanks to you both.

@Rmom - Can't do that anymore. It's called OCD!  Had never thought of it before but what was I accomplishing trying to beat my time when I already had repeatedly (except for working off excess nervous energy)?  There would come a time when I couldn't & "it came". lol

@Frodo - Nice to see you again.  Waiting on Bad Omen also.    Okay

@Genki -  Thanks for the picture you posted.  Looks like a 'creepy' game.   Happy bounce    I didn't see anything BF could object to unless its the color red (as if we've never heard of or seen blood before)!

@esme - Good to see you!  Looking forward to a rant from you anytime.  Love your rants!     Belly laugh

Find a post by someone you want to PM, then click on their name (to the left of their post.)
A drop-down box should appear, then you click on the Send Private Message option.

For the past couple of days, I've seen no drop-down box :oh:and I don't know why.  If you don't see it, simply scroll up to the top of the page, and the options box will be there on the left-hand side.

    Hello everyone Big smile

I do not see a problem with that scene from that game. Must be from all the asylums we've
    crawled around in. OH!

I am still playing through MCF. Its a good thing they have a map. That has become my
best friend in this game!! Sherlock

I am glad to see all back here.

I'm glad to see that Sporty is back and posting now and then.  I hope she finds enough interest to stick around and some of her older reviews, and of course I love having Justie's reviews here, too Sunny

We're still missing some folks, but it's good to see people posting again~!  I imagine that it will get quiet for a while once we get closer to Christmas Santa Dance

Speaking of which, it is freakin' COLD here! c-cold  I hear we're not supposed to even hit 35 during this coming week, and they're saying snow starting on Friday! Snowfall

    Um... so...

Is it cheating if I figured out a way to solve the stupid marble puzzle in MCF without actually solving it?

I took pictures of the solution in the strategy guide on my phone so I could solve the freakin' thing without using the skip button. Embarrassed

That's sort of a solution, right? LOL!

Hahaha~  I totally understand, and it's not exactly cheating.  If it helps you to understand the puzzle, it's all good in my book! ... and if you still don't understand it, then pfft  to the puzzle!  (By the way, shall I add that emoticon to our collection here?

    EDIT: Added!

I love it and would probably use it a lot!

I am giving myself points for creativity and thinking outside the box. (Cuz I hate those stupid marble move-y puzzles. Apparently I suck at understanding spatial relations)

Hi all! Quick drive-by as I'm wiped out and heading to bed early tonight G\'night!  but I'm enjoying reading about the new MCF and I'm excited to play it. Will prob start tomorrow!

I finished Madame Fate a few days ago. It was actually easier than I remembered and I hardly cheated and just skipped 2 puzzles. I did get VERY tired of those HOs though, lol.  faceplant

Um...there's a timer on the door lock puzzles?? Well, good grief, I did not know that!! I'm having enough trouble without knowing they're timed. Man, them suckers are hard and yes, I'm still playing!
I think I know which puzzle you're talking about, Esme. The Skip came in handy for that one. I couldn't tell you how long I worked on it, it was sooooo aggravating. I had balls going every which way! pfft

Our temp today almost hit 70 degrees. This is some really strange weather we're having.

DJ it's just a timer for the skip button to become usable. You can work on the puzzles for as long as you want... believe me, I have! I was determined to not use the skip button on it!

Heck, sometimes even with the strategy guide I feel like if I can follow the directions enough to solve the puzzle, I still win!pfft

It's warm out again today, but it is raining. We've got a snowstorm predicted for this weekend.

Oh, okay, Esme. I seen that timer. Okay I've been asking for the Puzzle Hint. My brain refuses to work the puzzle locks anymore.

Genki, I meant to say that I checked Alawar's site yesterday. The Fog wasn't listed. I'll check it again because if it's there, I'll demo it.

I hope BF runs a sale this weekend. I want to get Christmas Stories 2 and probably the new Agency of Anomalies game.

    Good morning, JustTheFacts! Big smile
