You crack me up, luvtoread! My nose has run so much, I couldn't tell you how many boxes of tissues I've went through.
I'm resorting to just stuffing a tissue up my nose and that's so not attractive!
Yay, finally!! Some D&E games, it's about time. Ooh, a game from one of my favorite developers, too!
Oh, I can't wait!!! Happy days are here again!! Thanks, Genki!
And I hope y'all have a Happy Thanksgiving!

Re: Dark & Eerie Games Thread 1
Looking attractive is not an option when your sick, so stuff away.
It is really cold out , there is a sale going on, and I can use
my Game Credits, So I am getting the MCF game and
picking out another and just going to hunker down with my favorite
drink
I just finished Revived Legends: Road of the Kings. Really enjoyed it. Thank goodness
it had a map that shows where something needs to be done and jumps you to it.
There are things to collect, not sure what I missed. Need to check it out.
Still have to finish the Bonus.
Before that, I played Cursory: The Crooked Man and the Crooked Cat.
As much as I enjoyed both these games, I need to dive into some real D & E.

Man, it's cold here, too...brrrrrrr! I dislike being cold.
I'm playing Fate's Carnival and currently stuck on one of the infamous puzzle locks! I love them, and yet I hate them. These are a lot more difficult than the locks in Ravenhearst.
Oh good, I'm glad you to hear you liked Revived Legends, luvtoread. I picked it up a couple of weeks ago during a sale.
On a side note...I heard on the news this morning that a woman was trampled at our local Walmart yesterday while waiting on Black Friday sales. She was transported to the ER.
Geez Louise, the people around here are freakin' idiots when it comes to Black Friday deals. I'd just as soon pay more money so I don't have to put up with them. It's not worth being trampled.

I don't get all this Black Friday stuff - isn't it Friday 13th that it's black? And even if it is, why all the fuss? And why is everyone having these massive sales?

Re: Dark & Eerie Games Thread 1
Black Friday is the day after Thanksgiving -- the biggest shopping day of the year in the States. The sales are generally pretty incredible... so good that people will get up at 4AM to get the best deals, and there can be a mob mentality for some of these people. Scary!
I had to go to Wal-Mart this morning. HAD to, I needed some medicine, and I was NOT looking forward to fighting the crowd. Strangely (and happily!) when I got there at 8AM, it was quiet; like you'd expect for any day of the year at that time of day. For Black Friday, it was eerily quiet! Last night, though, they had a sale at 6PM, and the cashier said it was CRAZY, packed with customers until after 9:00!

Re: Dark & Eerie Games Thread 1
Weird. And now we'll have a 'true' Black Friday here in a couple of weeks, which at first was what I thought you were on about too. No one will give it much attention here. Just mention that it's a bad luck day. We don't have anything like Thanksgiving here.

I've only been to one Black Friday, and that was enough! No kidding, people are very rude. You get shoved around and they will take things out of your buggy. I caught one woman and told her, "Excuse me, that's MY stuff you're pawing through!"
I thought we were going to have a brawl and I'm too old for that crap!

Ugh, I hate to shop in any case so needless to say I've never participated in a RL Black Friday sale. Online shopping is where it's at!

I'm a big online shopper too. It is so much easier and more comfy/safe than going out on Friday. EEK!

Re: Dark & Eerie Games Thread 1
I am still playing Fate's Carnival!! This has to be one of the longest games I've ever played!
I think it's those puzzle locks. Every time I get to one, I have to stop & take a break.

Re: Dark & Eerie Games Thread 1
dj--I am also playing Fate's Carnival. I landed up skipping one puzzle so far
I did not mean to hit skip. I just got frustrated and my fingers made that decision.
Then, I had the game freeze up on me when
I shut my computer down 3 times. Not sure if I did anything different in the game,
but the third time no problems.
Others comment that it has more of an MT feel to it the MCF, and they are right.
But I still like it and the story that is immerging.
AW nuts...I have to figure out why my spoilers are showing up.....I'll be back to fix this

Re: Dark & Eerie Games Thread 1
The code is something I use to show people what the tags look like.
See, if I just typed out the spoiler tags (which is what you see inside the code box above your post),
Another way to show the tags would be like this:
[ spoiler]This is spoiler text[ /spoiler]
only without the spaces.
Does that make sense?

ok...let me see.....code....where is code..... ah...ok JustTheFacts...code is above you
when you are replying, from the left its the 3rd blue thingy on the right, second picture
in, right before what looks to me like a note book. Put your cursor over it, it'll name it
for you.
genki--my mistake was not using the code. So, I use code, then use spoiler?
I know you had instructions for this, but could not find it.
You posted when I did. When I just used the spoiler, it would show up as
so--it wasen't hiding what I wrote. do I use code first?

No, the code is just what I used to show you what the spoiler tabs look like. You should need to use it at all.
So here's what you typed in the above post:

Well, The Fog: Trap for Moths is out today (at iWin,) and the bloody screenshot IS there... It will be interesting to see how the game is received at Big Fish! If they censor it, I'm gonna have to get it from iWin!

Re: Dark & Eerie Games Thread 1
This screen:
Redrum is the only other game I remember with something graphic like this, and the posting members at BF tend to get all up in arms about things... Well, there IS Escape From Ravenhearst, though Now THAT was graphic!
IMO, if someone doesn't like a game or its content, simply don't buy!

Re: Dark & Eerie Games Thread 1
I've played both of them, and they were pretty full on. But considering Escape is a BFG game, they had better not try anything!
