Oh my gosh the hints are the EASIEST things to collect! They're the lightning bugs you click on. You collect what you can, exit the scene through a door or whatever, come right back out and collect them again! (They'll be in a slightly different place.) I did this over and over, so always had plenty of hints.

As far as the logic of where to go/what to do, I don't recall having that problem, but it's been a while since I played them. Never tried the 3rd installment, just the first two.

Believe me, if I can do it, so can you! You already know I'm definitely not computer savvy.
@DJ - Good to see you and everyone again.  I did that but all I got were pictures of men that came up. Hmm...   I have plenty of pictures at Photobucket but don't know how to get one uploaded here. I'm not on Facebook, Twitter or any of those sites. I don't have Google Chrome. I have Firefox. I tried to 'copy image location' and paste it, but couldn't. so it must have to be uploaded. I know how to upload to Photobucket but not here. You know how 'technically challenged' I am too.  Embarrassed  I'll check back in sometime tomorrow (hopefully) and see if I understand it any better.  Hope everyone has a good evening.  I have to call it a night. @Hi Genki. Thank you for your help. I truly appreciate it.  Half Flower

Which URL do I need?  The main URL from Photobucket's site; the URL from my album at Photobucket; the Page the Avatar image is on at Photobucket or the Avatar image URL from Photobucket? I just tried the URL for the 'image' at Photobucket but it wouldn't work either place. It said it was invalid. Could it be because I'm on Firefox and uploaded the pictures/Avatars from my desktop to Photobucket?  I'm not good on URL's at all.  I don't understand them yet. I'm still on 'tiny baby steps' where URL's are concerned.

Thank you again for your help and advise. Offering

I'm on Firefox, too Smile  Use the Avatar image URL from Photobucket.  If that doesn't work, you can always just upload it from your computer.

@Thanks again Genki. I'll try it again. If it doesn't work I found one here I like & can use it. (Didn't know there were different categories to choose from until a while ago. I have a LOT to learn! I might need your help getting the Avatar I chose though. This is 'way' above my head. backaway

@Genki - The Avatar was accepted, my profile was updated, but the Avatar doesn't show. What am I doing wrong?

ETA:  Correction...the Avatar URL was accepted but the Avatar doesn't show up. Do I need to paste the image in somewhere also? If I do, where is that located? Your instructions are clear...I have a hard time understanding some things..especially if their technical or tech language.

Can you show me the image URL?  You get it by right-clicking on the image, then selecting 'Copy Image Selection.'  Use Ctrl+v to paste it.

@Genki - This is the Avatar:

    https://2img.net/h/i743.photobucket.com/albums/xx76/wkelley11/9353049e-c464-4848-bf72-28e411f4b39f_zps9ebdebc1.jpg

Sorry, but I'm unable to post the image, only this info. (Tried C + v "and" paste but it still won't show) I've copied & posted hundreds of pictures using 'Copy Image Selection' and transferred them before. Wonder why I can't paste it here? That's weird. I just noticed the URL is a click on link. Does that matter?

This is way too much trouble and I don't want to bother you. I found a blue butterfly I liked when I searched 'Animals'. I'll try to figure out how to get it inserted as my Avatar. I can't upload any pictures from my computer because when I uploaded them to Photobucket I deleted all of them off my computer to save space.

Do I need to delete my profile and start over from there?  Every time I click Browse I get sent to my desktop. I tried to get the picture I wanted for an Avatar (the blue butterfly in Animals), clicked save but couldn't get it to show either.

OK, the link took me to your Photobucket account, and I see the pic.  Right-clicking on it and copying the URL, I get this:

    https://2img.net/h/i743.photobucket.com/albums/xx76/wkelley11/9353049e-c464-4848-bf72-28e411f4b39f_zps9ebdebc1.jpg

Try using this link in the "Link to an off-site Avatar" box.  That should work Sunny

EDIT:  Weird!  It's exactly the same link Laugh  and when I use it again, now it takes me directly to the image. Huh?  OK, brb...

EDIT #2:  OK, I have NO idea why that would not work... I tried to do it for you, and it said that the image had been moved or removed!   I ended up downloading it and uploading it to your profile, so now it works. Silly face

Great image, by the way -- I've always loved that wallpaper!

@Genki - I don't know how you did it but you did!  Happy bounce  THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH!  Offering

I didn't know that was wallpaper. I'd never heard of an Avatar, bookmark, URL#, and almost anything I'm reading about now. I have over 500 pictures at Photobucket.  Most are for friends but the butterflies and werewolves are mine.  I originally tried the white morphing werewolf as an Avatar for the D&E site (thought it was more appropriate) but it said it was invalid and was not there (even though I was looking at it).

Your right about my computer. It IS weird. It's the computer from Hello! We have a mutual 'hate' relationship. It might be smarter than me, but I'm more stubborn than it is & refuse to give up. I spend more time online with technicians than gaming or anything else. Everyday its a different problem. Things I've done hundreds of times before it refuses to let me do them now. I still don't know why & the techs say everything is fine. No..its 'not' or I wouldn't have the 'daily' problems I have with it.

I have so much to learn (like why I couldn't get that Avatar inserted and you could) + lots more, but I am slowly learning.

Thank you again. I appreciate your help more than I can ever say. Bless you!  Two thumbs up

Yay, Genki did it! Beautiful avatar, Butterfly!

I wish I could do different things on my computer. It seems like the more I do, the more I screw up.

Well, I have been playing Dreamscapes: The Sandman. I got stuck on the arcade game awhile back & decided to restart (to refresh my memory). After about the 6th attempt with the arcade, I got through it.
I just finished it and while I did miss not having any hidden object lists, I really did enjoy it. Actually, I kind of forgot about HO lists because there was enough to do that I didn't get bored.
The story & tasks fleshed out nicely, without me wandering round & round. I appreciate that in a game!
I got the SE and I'm not sure how the storyline continues in the CE version, but I do hope there is a Dreamscapes 2.
Wow, it's late. I'm going to read a bit of my book (Dr. Sleep by Stephen King) and call it a night!

Post by Butterflyshrimp Sat Sep 28, 2013 12:59 am

@Hi DJ - Thanks to Genki I finally have a Avatar. Happy bounce   I don't know why Avatars are hard for me but they are. I've had 4 different Avatars but could only get one inserted with no problems. (One step forward, ten steps back). I'm below kindergarten level on tech stuff and language. I 'was' posting pictures like mad (sometimes had 5 + windows open & would switch back & forth between them to get the image I wanted to post), but now I can't do that. I can only have ONE window open at a time now & have no idea why. It makes no sense to me unless the settings got changed somehow...but I don't know how to change the settings.  I hardly ever get out of this room because I'm continually online with techs. They're so fast I can't keep up with what they're doing. I do ask questions but don't get any answers except "probably a glitch".  Huh?  I freely admit I'm tech language illiterate but not on common sense!

I played Dreamscapes: The Sandman but can't remember what its about. While reading here yesterday I wrote down 7 games that looked good. I bought one game a while ago (the 1st one since the plug was pulled). The last game I bought was Nearwood. Its a very good game (fantastic scenery & graphics) but haven't had the chance to finish it yet. This is a wonderful site...and with Games!  BF sure has saved me money since they made one of the most incredible decisions I've ever seen a Corporation make. I understand legal terms and corporate talk, but I've 'never' seen a Corporation make a decision like that before. It was like they wanted to 'clean house'...with their customers! They have a reason & it will come out sooner or later.  Suspect  The last day at BF I asked Hondo 4 questions and requested 'specific' answers to each one. One of them was 'Will we ALWAYS have access to our games for our lifetime'.  He replied "Yes". I printed that page off & kept it. If you want to know the exact questions and Hondo's replies, let me know & I'll find it. I think it would be a good idea if 'everyone' printed off a copy of the contract we have with BF. I think it states it there also. If for 'any' reason we are denied access to our games, its called Breach of Contract & BF would be liable to a Class Action Lawsuit.

I tried to download two of my games last week but couldn't. It was when there was a BOGO sale many months ago. Anyway, I was denied access to those two games, but they can keep them.  I also had the download of Casino I did 'not' download. I deleted it along with the 'debug' file yet again.  I "don't" like anything downloaded on my computer unless I buy it and download it myself, & never went to the free games because I wasn't interested in them.

Didn't mean to write a book. Will say Goodnight and hope you and your DH have a wonderful day today. Take care and hope to talk to you later. It seems like ages! Enjoy your book. heart flowers

Hi Butterfly, isn't is so weird how computers have a mind of their own? Hmm...kind of scary, too!
Yeah, I know what you're saying about our purchased games being ours forever. It still says that when you buy a game. Fingers-crossed it's true, because I'm still buying games from BFG.

I demo'd MM: Witches of Abraham and based on 53 minutes of demo time,  my thoughts are, I do notice a difference in the graphics, most everything else feels the same. Another team developed it, so I do expect some changes. The changes are not enough to deter from buying, as I am a huge fan of the series.
I play games for enjoyment and whether or not developers have taken liberties with the facts, doesn't mean a thing to me. I don't play games for a history lesson.
I'm just waiting on my GC to show up today (I still have last month's GC). Big smile

Oh, I forgot. Butterfly, I'm in total agreement with you. I think BFG wanted to "clean house" and that's why they got rid of CCC.
I also noticed they've done away with "complainer's corner" (my made-up words) on fb.

Hope you and your DH have a great day today!
