I'm not on Youtube, either -- the link is to Big Fish, and right in the description.  I'll copy it here for you:

lol, I was just thinking about Bad Omen this morning, hoping for a pre-Halloween release. I'm not sure it's going to make it, though.

Hi Frodo! Thanks for mentioning this game!!

I figured the opening would be controversial, also. But, guess what?? No more CCC, so don't have to read all that crap about too scary, too bloody, too evil and all people who play D&E games are devil worshippers. Geesh.
I was damn tired of it!

Hey DJ.  I never understood all the complaining on CCC about Dark & Eerie games.  If someone doesn't want to play it... just don't play it.  But they shouldn't try and stop others from playing it.  Okay

    Exactly, Frodo!

And there are tasteful ways to convey personal feelings without passing judgment on others. For instance, one could say, "I really don't care for this type of game" rather than, "People who like this game must like gore and torture."
Really? How asinine of a statement is that????

Re: Paranormal State: Poison Spring, I don't know the show and am no Civil War buff (plus the video looked dingy and dull to me) so I'm not even going to demo this game.

I haven't demo'd Bad Omen yet - going out for the night soon - but plan to soon!

Bad Omen looks more like horror than any D&E casual game. I wonder whether it'll be released on BFG in its original bloody state :P Depending on gameplay (I really don't like hiding from monsters), it's something I'd prefer to play in uncensored version. It's going to be a normal "casualized" point-and-click game, right? I'm kind of too lazy to download the beta...

Steam's Halloween Sale is on, ladies. I'm not buying anything Laugh  Lots of good games on the list, though!

DJ, I've done the Bad Omen beta now, and loved it!  But I couldn't find any developer details.  Huh?
Really hope BFG accept the proper, uncencesored version though

I did a beta for Artifax Mundi  Grim Legends: The Abyss.  I must say,  not bad.
Some of it is slightly familiar--like you have to mix up a potion,  save your sister
from a big bear--which does not want to seem to harm her,  so its giving me ideas
about where this story is going.  I wish I wasen't so tired when I played it, but despite
that I thought it a good game,  just story wise not much different than what we've
    played in the past.

Mmm probably. I know *I* am, and these games are really kinda 'same'y after a while. Snicker
I'm trying to prevent burnout by only buying true standouts these days. Not many are making the cut.

I got the beta, too, luvtoread. I'm in agreement with you. Not a bad game at all! I thought the same thing as you about the bear.

I finished Questerium and I really liked it! I don't think it was intentional, but the scientist dude cracked me up!

I have started Paranormal State: Poison Spring and so far, I'm enjoying it, too! I didn't like being stuck in the room with the dolls, it was freaking me out a little bit. And I've had one major scare which is causing me to take quick peeks over my shoulder.
It's quite alright though, because I wanted a scary game right before Halloween!

Thanks for the info on Bad Omen, Frodo. I reckon we'll find out who the dev is once the game's released. I'm pretty sure I'll get it based on the preview.

I ended up picking up Spooky Bonus. It's not a HOG, it's a Match 3 and it's kind of cute. Definitely not a difficult game, but still fun and Halloweeny.

If you ever like to chill out with a match 3, it might be worth a demo.

    Happy Halloween everyone!

Hope everybody had a spooky Halloween! Well, not too spooky!

I have finished Paranormal State: Poison Spring and I have to say, I enjoyed it very much. Despite numerous spelling errors and "item" sound FX in the interactive HO scenes (I don't know why devs do this!), the visuals were D&E and the ambient scary sound effects fit the game nicely.
An interesting storyline and good puzzles (no skips for me, yay!) made this game well worth a PCC!
I've never watched the show, so don't know how the game compares to it.

I also finished the beta for The Secret Order: Ancient Times. Me, I love the series and have played the first & second games. Ancient Times wowed me with absolutely gorgeous cut-scenes and I will purchase when released.

@Genki - Thanks for the link for Bad Omen. I downloaded & liked it very much. Filled out the survey and requested they please 'not' water the game down.  Looks like a very interesting game but hope it keeps up to speed & doesn't drop off.  Thanks Frodo for letting us know about it.

Hope everyone had a good Halloween...I missed it!  Trying to break in a new computer but think its breaking me instead. I'm sort of totally 'lost' right now trying to figure things out & where they're located.   Overreaction

@DJ - Look forward to playing Paranormal State: Poison Spring & The Secret Order: Ancient Times.  Your 'stamp of approval' is good enough for me.  Does anyone know why BF doesn't have previews of games anymore?  I've even tried to find an 'old' game but can find no preview for any game.  That helped me a lot in a decision to buy a game...I wanted to see the graphics, scenery, etc.  Hopefully its just for today. If not, my purchases will be dropping drastically again.  Not sure if I'll pick up anything this weekend or not yet but it's a good sale on CE's.

Hi to all and hope everyone has a wonderful day today.    Sunny

Esme, I really enjoyed Spooky Bonus , and actually wrote a long review for it!  My favorite part was actually waiting to see what wallpaper would be unlocked next!  I used three of them during the time leading up to Halloween Vampire Lamp

TeamTeetat does wonderful previews for upcoming games.  Go HERE, and you can click on any game title that is listed in blue to see more info and screenshots!

I'm glad to see you posting again, Butterfly -- I worry when regular posters disappear, and I'm sorry to read that you're having computer issues, but glad that it wasn't something else!

Hey there, Butterfly! I just watched the preview for the newest fantasy/cute animal game at BFG, Revived Legends (I think that's the name) and wouldn't ya know, I'm currently overloaded on cute animal games, darn it! Big smile

My sister bought a new computer over the summer. When I was over at her house, I was tinkering around on it. Man, Windows 8 is complicated. She can't get into any of her programs & I couldn't find them either. I am definitely not a computer whiz, but I can usually find my programs by clicking the "Start" button. I can't even find the start button on her computer!
I'm sure you'll get your new computer figured out soon, Butterfly, and have a wonderful day, also!

Okay, I demo'd the Queen Tales game (correct title? It's the new one from ERS). I only lasted about 10 minutes, having long ago decided that ERS' CEs just aren't worth the money to me (even at sale price). Although I will buy one every once in awhile...if it's an established series and I like it well enough. Most times, I'll settle for the SE, and that's IF I like the game well enough.

I also partly demo'd Revived Legends: The Road of Kings from Blam! Games. I'm normally a huge fan of this dev, but I must be in a foul mood today because the overdose of sweet from these two games was hurting my teeth!

Eh, looks like I won't be participating in the sale and I can almost hear my CC breathe a sigh of relief!
