If you get Playrix's newsletter, you can get Manor Memoirs Collector's Edition for $5.99 USD + tax. I bought it because I love the Gardenscapes series.

It was still on sale a few minutes ago via the newsletter and it's Monday, 9PM Central. I just checked Facebook. They advertised it, but when I clicked on the link, the price was $13.95.

Edit: Genki, please feel free to move this if I've posted on the wrong thread.  Hug

I wonder if BFG will give out codes willingly, or if I'll have to ask them for it again.   Hmm...

No; I decided the coupon wasn't worth the hassle.  I'll never play that freemium stuff, and I have enough free game coupons to ignore this.

Have written to Big Fish again about a coupon. Am sure I'll get one soon. Interesting that today they are launching a bunch of new game characters etc. Wonder why that are trying to achieve when they make that sale? Get everyone with Midnight Castle downloaded to download the additions?

As it happens, that game is not bad either, so I tried. Couldn't get the download to run  Rolling Eyes Sigh

I downloaded that game for the coupon and didn't get one. Last time, I had to ask about it on the forum. I thought I didn't receive it because I wasn't subscribed to their newsletter. Guess I'll contact CS.

To get people hooked on the stupid freemium games so they're forking over cash and not caring if they get a coupon or not.  <---- This is just my cynical, jaded opinion; don't mind me.  Rolling Eyes

I am hooked on the EAP F2P pippi! I play it for an hour every day, maybe twice.  Embarrassed

That's as much time as you'll get on it if you don't want to spend money.

There is no thought required for the game, no puzzles, no adventure play, only a skeleton of a story. But those easy HOPs are addictive, and they at least come in different varieties.  Big smile

On the subject of F2P re. the latest download=60% off deal.

For the first time EVER, Big Fish CS actually baulked at giving me a coupon! They ran through all the free/60% off game coupons I have got since beginning of June, and implied I should be happy with that.

Seeing I pointed out to them last time that as long as they don't put further conditions for qualifying on it, I will expect a coupon, they have no excuse, and I told them so! Belly laugh

I also attached, to save further nonsense, my copy of the sale.

So here is my spiel and evidence:

    Hi Jesse

I am aware of those coupons, thank you, and they are much appreciated. However, I was referring here to your Midnight Castle 14th July promotion (as attached). I did in fact download it on this day, but have not received my 60% coupon.

As I mentioned in my last email re. this promotion, I will keep on expecting this coupon as long as the rules apply. I am also aware that you are not following up on this promotion with others either, and they too have to write to you in order to get it. You used to be above such slimy tactics.

Sorry to see you slipping, you are really the best customer service team around.

    Cheers

Still, it is true. They have the best customer service people - they are just letting those people down, giving them stupid marketing tactics, and expecting them to field the hostile responses.

God I LOVE Big Fish  Belly laugh They really know the way to this girl's heart!!

My response from them re their 60% deal:

"My apologies for any miscommunication. It was definitely not my intention to imply that I wouldn't assist you with this issue. It had appeared that this was a previous issue which had been resolved and I'm sorry for any confusion or inconvenience this may have caused.

I've gone ahead and issued you a coupon code for a $2.99 Collector's Edition.

This coupon will expire December 31, 2014.

I've also issued you a coupon code for a free game. You can use this for just about any game on our site, except Collector's Editions.

This coupon is easy to use and will never expire."

Never mind M. Dupin, or the team at Eipix, I want to marry these guys!!  Belly laugh

"Honey, you haven't bought me a diamond ring for over a month now..."

"Oh darling, I am so sorry! Here is one, plus a pair of earrings to match."

    Works for me!   Okay

AND I still get to play the F2P this was all about lol. (Cuz, if you don't mind playing the same HOPs about 50 (literally) times, and don't mind that you can only play for half an hour, followed by a break of half an hour, this is a pretty fun game lmao. Belly laugh

    Midnight Castle Offer 14th July

I'm glad to see that I am not the only customer who feels that when a promotion is offered, not only on their site, but via email and game manager (now stupidly called Big Fish Games App (Pardon me for rolling my eyes! Before too long, BFG will probably become strictly a mobile phone games distributor, and we will have to find another site to download our PC games!)), a company should honor it. I, too, emailed BF and asked nicely for my coupon. The CS rep mentioned that she was sorry I had not received my discount code. I decided not to mention that I know they aren't mailing them out. She offered me a FREE code for my choice of a CE or SE. I rarely buy CEs, so I told her a SE would be fantastic. I do have to admit that BF has the best customer service of any game portal I have had dealings with. Now I'll be set if I can find a game I actually want.

If you have time, I suggest you all email them. Maybe they'll stop promoting the F2P games if their CS gets too busy trying to answer all the requests they get for the next 6 months!   Snicker

NOTE: I do not have anything against mobile gaming. I'm just disappointed that some developers I like, including PlayFirst and those responsible for The Island Castaway series (CRS), have stopped making games for the PC.  Whistle
