I have done the demo of HE: Solomon's Crown. Definitely another winner.

    (need a BOGO....Need a BOGO.......NEED A BOGO......my mantra)

At one point, I noticed there was a Mission: Impossible moment.

Recommendations for the standard editions of the Dark Dimensions games? I NEVER use the built in CE strategy guides, so I don't care about having those.  Really the only reason I get CEs is for satisfying bonus gameplay, a great downloadable soundtrack and/or to support the developer so they'll continue making games I like.  Am I missing something awesome by skipping the CEs?  I loathe SEs that don't really have an ending...they stick a cliffhanger in and put the real ending in the CE.

Hooray!!!! Our wish has been granted!!!!  Happy bounce

Time to restock the CEs!  Yahoo!

    Thank you, BFG!!!  Clap

pippi, most times I'll get the CE (only at sale prices, though). If it's a game I'm iffy about, I'll settle for the SE.
I do replay my favorites & the rest are forgotten about until I scroll through my Purchase History.
There have been quite a few times when I've upgraded a SE to the CE because I've loved the gameplay which wasn't evident in the demo.

Right now, I'm playing Hope Lake (or Lake Hope, CRS). I like the atmosphere, but the soundtrack is painful to listen to cause it never changes.

OOOH DJ - good point - I don't have to decide on Dark Dimensions SEs since I can get the CEs for the same price (i.e. credit!)   faints

So true, pippi!  Happy bounce I enjoyed all of the Dark Dimension games, some better than others. Was there a DD just released? Something about paintings? If so, I don't have that one.

I get my games all mixed up.  Embarrassed

I only remember the first DD game... something about Fog I think. I can't remember if I played/liked the other ones. I probably did.

I'm at the point with games where I can't remember them all. It's frustrating because I'll look at my Purchase History and A) don't remember buying it and B) don't know if I've played it!

It was when I reached that point that I figured I needed to have reviews for the games I'd played and the ones I rejected as well.

First DD was indeed "City of Fog", although the fog wasn't really of much importance to the game. I found the puzzles more difficult than most.

Second DD was "Wax Beauty", which creeped me out.

Third DD was "City of Ash", which was just all round good, and again, challenging.

DD: City of Fog is one of my favorites in the series!

Looks like that old CRS kicked in (bigtime) because I thought there was another game out.

lol, JustTheFacts! I do remember DD: Somber Song and I thought it was very good!

I guess I'm trying to remember (unsuccessfully) another game in a different series!

Hmm...let me think, (from the demo) there's a woman & she's asked by some weird dude to pose for a painting. Next thing we know, we're transported into the painting & arrive at a bleak-looking place where another older dude is lying on the ground with his wrists handcuffed. There might've been a castle in the background.
Does anyone remember this game?? It just came out not too long ago.

Have a wealth of game trivia at my disposal lol - once I've written a review about it, a game pretty much sits in my head with basic emotional responses to it. and it's name  Big smile

Haunted Manor:  Painted Beauties...I enjoyed it.....it drove esme into a rant!

I have actually finished playing the main game of Fright.   I must say,  for me to
finish a game this quickly is.....not usual.    This includes stopping at times to do some
    minor chores.

There was a startled moment,   an  "I did not see that coming" moment.   Other than that,
I really am glad I waited for a sale.

I have to figure out how to access the Bonus game.    I came up $1.00  short.   Never did visit
    the store.

Curious as to everyone else's opinion.

DD--House of Wax   I remember that one the most.   I suggest that one.  Had a good
storyline  and was kind of creepy.

ok---I see I just seconded JustTheFacts about the name of the game.  Okay

Esme's right...it sucks getting older. But, in my defense, I do have a lot of games and have demo'd even more and I can massacre a game title in no time!  Big smile

Yes, I did read Fright was kind of short. I will say I'm a slo-poke player & just stumble along.

And we have to have a certain amount of monies to access the Bonus content?  Shock

Oh no, I never find all my extra things.  Cry

The money is to buy stuff--thank goodness you do not need it to get the Bonus,
can you imagine the reaction the devs would get from us???    rollingpin    dirtywords

You don't massacre titles---you make them more interesting and memorable.   Laugh

I figured out how to access Bonus. You have to go through the gift shop, then
    click Extra's.

Ok, I haven't "pulled the trigger" for Fright yet ... So is Fright worth it, Luvto?  The beta was pretty awesome ... I do NOT want to be disappointed :-)

I just demoed that DD: Fog game, and WOW it looks good.  So that one got added to my cart, along with Jack and the Sky Kingdom (it's DP, after all!) ...

I figure I'm going to get 8 CEs during the sale ... I can't upgrade MCF during the sale or I don't get the credit for the SE.  So today is Holiday of the Demo  Big smile
