Hmmm, BFG selling out is kinda worrying.  Hmm...

Sincerly hope it won't become a giant casino site, or those con-games that make you pay again and again.  Shock

Speaking of selling out... This from a moderator at Big Fish:
    bfgLianorm wrote:Hey Everyone,

I was just swimming by and thought I'd help to clear up some of the confusion on what's happening with the new Dark Parables game, Dark Parables: The Little Mermaid and the Purple Tide Collector's Edition.

After Dark Parables: Ballad of Rapunzel Collector's Edition was released, Blue Tea Games decided that the were going to shift their focus. Not wanting to see a popular game series end so suddenly, Eipix Entertainment decided to step in and continue on with the series.

While the games will have the splash screen for Blue Tea Games, Eipix Entertainment and Big Fish Games, the game is now being solely developed and produced by Eipix. We hope that you enjoy the latest installment in the Dark Parable series, and any stylistic differences with the game has been agreed upon between the two developers.

This is one of my favorite game series to play, and like many of you, sad to see that it's no longer being created by Blue Tea Games. But, I'm happy to know that it's still going to continue and look forward to how Eipix Entertainment will continue it.

I hope this helps to clear up some of the confusion.

Loosk like Blue Tea is moving into iOS instead of PC gaming :(

That breaks my heart because they were my all-time favorite developers.

I'm getting the feeling that the end of my gaming days is approaching.  Sigh

When I read that Eipix did this latest game, I figured BT was moving on.  I liked their games a lot but I think Eipix did a great job on this latest one and their graphics are actually a little easier on the eyes.  Not so much glitter and bright colors but still quite beautiful.

With all the $$$ I'm spending at GOG during the sale right now ... I don't think I'm going to miss games at BF.  Except the fantasy mosaic games.  I really love those nonograms!  DJ, I'm learning about the external drive thingy right now, too.  So we can learn together.

How is the latest DP game ... should I get it?  Like Esme, Blue Tea are my favourite, but I really don't ever game on my iDevices, so I am not holding my breath for that.

I did some research on the external drive thingy, too, pippi.

Here's what I looked like afterwards... Huh? then... Gah! and finally... Stars

Lots of computer speak, of which I did NOT understand. I like storing my games in my Purchase History. It's so simple and I DO know how to do that.

I haven't bought the latest DP yet. I've almost got a second completed PC. So, I'm kind of waiting on Weird Park 3 (if it ever gets to BFG).
I have to agree, BT was one of my all-time favorite developers. Cry

    Hi dj!

About storing your BFG games on an external drive, the games will only run with that computer that you downloaded and installed them to. There was a time that I had to replace a part of my computer (forgot which part) and I had to send a Dr. Felix in and get security keys to play my games. Someone wrote somewhere that part of each game is stored on your C drive so using the external on another computer won't work. I wish BFG was more like GOG because you can burn your GOG games to a DVD and install it from the DVD onto another PC.

I hope that explains it a little. If not, I'm off to work now so if you ask me something, it will be a while until I can answer.

    Hi jboliver!

Yes, I forgot to mention the game manager. You are not given a choice of where the gm is installed (although it's simple enough process for bfg to do), but once you have gm on your new pc, you just go to advanced options or whatever it is called, and tell the gm to look for games in [whatever you call your external drive], and to download every game to that drive. Bingo! All fixed!

This is the second time this year I have had to download my external drive (cats killed the other one, while it was being used by my game!!, and the game manager was not affected at all. And that is a good enough reason for me to keep them on separate drives)

Just be sure the game manager is set properly for downloading and accessing the hard drive, and it won't hurt a bit. Old Days

Thanks for the info, jboliver! I thought I'd read about that somewhere.

Justie, so, are you saying as long as we have access to a working GM, all games installed onto an external drive would be playable on another computer?

Oh my gosh, it's bitterly cold here. I'm freezing my butt off! c-cold And it isn't even January yet.

snapnhiss, I just read your review for Haunted Legends: The Stone Guest (at BFG).

That last line...LMAO, I almost fell out of my chair!! Belly laugh

I'm playing Shadow Wolf Mysteries: Under the Crimson Moon and the "wolf" graphics are fantastic! Kudos to the artist/s for that!

I finished Psycho Train, it was very good for a SE and no glitches this time!!

Yup djrum! If you can get a current Game Manager, you can tell it where to look for and install games, just a flick of the switch. But the real problem for us all eventually is there won't be one on offer - cross your fingers that we are all older and greyer when that happens!

I am playing the Longest Journey again, and after so many play-throughs, it's amazing how much I forget.  Or do things in a different order.

This GOG sale is killing my wallet.  Picked up Deponia series; almost sprang for Thief, got Papers Please, which is very interesting but hard, and ... many more.

I'd say I depleted my wishlist, but with so many new games added, that's just not true!  consolegaming

I hope you've been getting your punches at GOG, all!  You have to click on the ticket to get your punch each day.  There might be enough time left in the sale to still get your free copy of The Witcher 2 :D

Hello everyone.    Kind of quiet in here.

I finished playing Fear for Sale:  13 Keys.   I could not believe I got every achievement,
including all  the MO's.     Yahoo!    About Time!!   (yup,  its the little gaming achievements
    that make me happy).

With the sale today I bought the new Surface:  Game of Gods.   I wasen't that impressed
at the beginning of the game,  but once past that I really got into it.   The story line
is good.   Try to beat a hundreds year old game that is unbeatable.    Of course,  the beginning
of the game gives you a clue to where you land up,  but I don't mind that.
The Surface games have been my favorite and this one,  to me,  is a better
story line than the one where mommy lost her husband and daughter.

Those Game of Throne pics are very good.
