When you can't find what you need, make it yourself! WillworkforGAMES now found in the Misc section of the smilies!

Confession time:  I didn't like the second, Dire Grove-like Mystery Trackers.  I played it but at the time it just didn't "speak" to me.  Do I need to play the MT games in order, or can I skip around?

No, I don't think you do. They all function as self - contained stories. Play them however you want.

genki----I don't know how to make an emoticon--but glad you do!!      Happy bounce

The only MT game I was not crazy about and really had no intention of buying
was I believe  Black Isle.    The reason I say that was because it was a revisit
of the same place in the previous MT and I just had that  "been here, done that"
    feeling.
Then I started reading in the D & E forums about Elf.
I wondered  "Who is this Elf that has our intrepid  "black hooded devil worshipping"   devilish grin
gamers weak in the knees?"  Snicker

That is how I ended up buying Black Isles.     Only because of Elf.

Which MT  did you not like?

JTF   wow!   There is a blog for that?

Was it Raincliff with all the owls?  I replayed that game three times just to see the owls.

genki you're a genius! Funky new emoticon!! Happy bounce

luvtoread the Raincliff and Raincliff Phantoms will benefit if you play them one after the other - I think that is the game you mean - elf  figured prominently. Love him almost as much as Dupin!

I wasn't much into Black Isle either, but it's ok. The rest, I love completely! Wub

snapnhiss, no, brilliant frogs in Raincliff, amazing owls in Black Isle.

I have played Raincliff--that really was my favorite.   Raincliff Phantoms I am drawing a blank on.

I'll go check that out and be right back.

OK...the one with the invisible people.   Ghost

I do remember doing a beta that was set in Dire Grove land and I liked it,
It hasen't been released yet,   has it?

snapnhiss   That owl is gorgeous!!  owl

Awhile back I listened to a audio book "Wesley the Owl".    True story about the author,
Stacey O'Brien raising Wesley from infancy.

It was #2, Mystery Trackers 2: Raincliff, that I didn't really enjoy.  Maybe it was just my mood at the time Wink  Here's the topic for Mystery Trackers 6: Raincliff's Phantoms (which I haven't played, of course.)

Can/will someone find me a picture of Elf?  I must know what he looks like. Big smile

genki---Have you dl/d the new MT?   He's in it.
I would take a pic of Elf,   but I am bad at things like that.

I can give it a go,   he's so cute.

Sorry, it seems Elf is wearing masks in the latest game. That IS him as the hint button, I think... No wallpapers of him or scenes in the SG. Damn Elf is even more elusive than Dupin!

WillworkforGAMES  I love it!! Thanks, Genki!!

Hubs says his truck is better, but not fixed. At least it's not dying on him at every stop now.

Elf looks like a Chihuahua with big bat ears. I finally demo'd the new Mystery Trackers & I did like it. I'll wait and see what the weekend sale is.

I'm working the bonus in Nevertales 2. Although I enjoyed the first one more, Nevertales 2 is a very good game.

I am so in the mood for something dark & dreary.

If you can stomach the spot-the-differences scenes, you could try the Cate West games.  I really loved the stories, and the artwork is very reminiscent of Lost in the City.

EDIT:  Oh, and different endings depending on how well you score, which really added to the interest to me!

Thank you! Although this time I must admit I just pinched it all from B&B at pondfriends. Okay But I do have my own sources as well Wink Snicker

From those sources, I just received this one. Sounds like there might be a creep or two in it, although it says it's "colourful", which is generally a sign of "beautiful, pretty" graphics! Overreaction

Oh yes! Now I remember genki! I played both of these about a million or so years ago when I was with GH. I remember enjoying them but didn't like the graphics - but then I didn't like Lost In The City's graphics either, but ended up loving the game!

I think you can get them for free now, on one of those sites that if you download their game manager and get freebies. Um, freerider - I think that's the one.

Yes it is.   Justie,  the one wearing a mask is the hint helper.  Elf  is always in your inventory,
    waiting to help you.

snapnhiss---your right,  he is a min-pin.  So cute.

dj-- I was wondering if you tried Ghosts of the Past-Bones of Meadow Town?   I was thinking of
trying it,   the screen shots look  Dark and dreary.    Smile

Looks like we got our wish....a Labor Day BOGO  sale.   Big smile

Bones is good Luvtoread! At least, I liked it. And according to my review, it has its dark moments - warning though, its ERS, so it is still pretty, but much darker than their recent stuff. Review link is:
