I don't know where to put this, so since we use D&E for general chat at times I'm just going to say:

I think that my mother's generation should not be allowed to use the internet alone. LOL

That would put her in the same generation with my mum who is an absolute wiz on the computer - has her own website she designed and created for the State offices of CWA a big deal women's association here!  Big smile But she is clearly the exception. My father refuses to touch the pc lol.

What did your mum do? I hate to ask, but can't help myself  Snicker

All she needs to do is reboot her modem since she blew it out with running the vacuum.

I tried to explain it, but............. what do I know? I'm just her daughter. But of course, she will call her cable company... again... and make them come out.

She called them one time when the cable box was unplugged.  Suspect I SWEAR she's going to get her account flagged! LOL

    LOL Sorry!

Somehow she got it working. I'm guessing there was a long phone call with the cable company.

oh yeah.  I say that a lot.  I cackled gleefully when I got to that part.

OTOH, my mother-in-law is like Justie's Mom - she runs a computer club; she teaches seniors how to use Facebook (which we explain to her is the reason Facebook isn't cool anymore)

    LOL Sorry folks!

I shouldn't be such a bad daughter, but boy I get frustrated sometimes. I need to be more patient, but when I have to explain how to find something on PINTEREST to her three times, I get a little eye-roll-y.  Rolling Eyes

I have to learn to just hush when she's doing this stuff. It's not good for my stress levels.  La la la!

Have any of you seen that commercial where this "older" lady is explaining to her friends about "pasting" pics to her "wall"?
It's hilarious! I crack up every time I see it!

I think Facebook is tiresome. Do "friends" really have to post everything they do/have done? I picture them doing that something & then rushing to post it on fb.
I don't get why they feel the need to do that.  Huh?

I must confess, I am probably an over-poster on FB. I'm not sure why I feel the need. Perhaps it's to convince myself that I do have a life! LOL If I post it, then I actually do have things to do and places to go... and I'm not at home with a bag of Cheetos and wearing my yoga pants.  pfft

I NEVER post anything I'm actually doing on Facebook lol. I look at all the pretty cat pix and pithy one liners, and share the best of them. Finito. lol Pumpkin Cat

Life? Have a life? What's wrong with Cheetos and yoga pants? lol  Mouse Shades

Cheetos sounds good, I think I have some in the cabinet!

I don't post anything there, either. I'll "like" different stuff, but that's about it for me. Pretty boring, I reckon.

Mosquitos just love me, I got bit last night...5 times! DH says, "OMG, you've got bitten!"
I replied, "No sh*t, Sherlock, did you figure that out yourself." (DH NEVER gets bit)

You'd think I'd be used to them by now, but I'm not.  meh I dread summer because of mosquitos.

I bloody hate mosquitoes.  I never got bit, then I moved to Here when I'd rather be There, and Here's mosquitoes love me. I've been bitten enough I look like I have a pox!  Just another reason to want to be There, I guess!   Silly face

Cheetos, now, they never did anything but make me happy.

As for Facebook - I was slightly too old for it when it was originally a college hookup service.  Now I am too out-of-touch to tell everyone on the interwebs what I ate for lunch (sunchips), my dog doesn't do cute enough things to post and if I posted the things the Kitten really does, people would think I was harboring a demon.  So I avoid it and let my MIL and her octogenarian friends feed the advertising beast.  flutter eyelashes

HA!  Esme, I said basically the same thing over in the game thread Genki made.  Have you trialled it?  Is it good?  The only one I didn't love was Jack.  I didn't get that one.  But I'm gonna today probably.  Along with a few other CE's I'm missing.

I have not demoed it... the Dark Parables games are pretty much my only "insta-buy" games. I love them so much... even the ones that aren't as amazing are still pretty amazing.
