Lilac, if you end up getting the game (Machine for Pigs), I hope that you enjoy it! Please don't let our comments put you off As Esme said, to each their own!

Re: Dark & Eerie Games Thread 1
DJ, I'm not far into the game yet. Just played a bit last night with DH and started exploring the house so far. But I've found a few curious items...
Genki, sure, I'm game to start up a group play. Should I just open a page on the D&E boards or somewhere specific?

Re: Dark & Eerie Games Thread 1
It can go either in General Game Gab or the basic D&E section, your choice!
EDIT: I've just added a new Action-adventure (topic) for the game Paranormal. It's supposed to be very scary, looks like there's no violence or gore, and it has multiple endings, which I find very cool!

Re: Dark & Eerie Games Thread 1
Not D&E, but a Big Fish comment: I see they list their Casino F2P game as the #1 download. Do you think that's really true or not? It got lousy reviews and has NO forum board (since it was removed).
I recall their similar boasts of their later MCF games although they weren't vastly popular, and I have no doubt they -ahem- fudged the truth a bit there. Do you think the same is true of Casino being #1? Just curious...

Re: Dark & Eerie Games Thread 1
Casino being #1 probably has something to do with the fact that it's AUTOMATICALLY INSTALLED on every GM!

Re: Dark & Eerie Games Thread 1
I agree, I think BF Casino is popular because it's automatically installed on everyone's GM.
Okay, I will admit...I miss the "Sneak Peek" thread tremendously. Since CCC closed down, I've received more beta's than I ever have in my 5 or 6 years of gaming there. I just got another one today for Tales Untold: The Curse of Port Bridge which I really liked. I'm not sure who the developer is because you only see the BFG logo before it cuts right to the Menu.
Also, I don't know if BF is still making casual games.
I think they're busy making other kinds of games.

Re: Dark & Eerie Games Thread 1
I have finished the main game in Echoes of the Past: The Kingdom of Despair and I love this game. I am a fan of the Echoes games and I think this is the best in the series!
Well, I am a huge fan of this developer, too!
Story, graphics, music - everything's all great. The puzzles, wow, there's actually some I've never seen before!!
The locations - whew, I'm glad a jump map was available for us! I usually try & walk it, but not this time.
Great job and Kudos to the Team, Orneon!

I loved that one too! Definitely the best in the series.
Can't remember now what the bonus game was about even, but I think it was okay.

Re: Dark & Eerie Games Thread 1
Hi JustTheFacts, yes, I totally agree with you on Echoes! You told me it was the best...and it is!
I don't know what's going on with me getting so many beta's from BF, that never happens! It was a 2 year wait before I received my first one. Then, I'd get one about once a year or longer.
Since CCC closed, I have tested 5 games.
Yes, I think the e-mail address is very important, we have to copy & paste it in, first thing.

I should make a list of all of the companies that you can sign up to beta test for! Hmmm...

Re: Dark & Eerie Games Thread 1
This weekend I have been playing Riddles of Fate-Wild Hunt CE. So good to dive into a game and just enjoy it. I am now on the Bonus game and still enjoying it. That hasen't happened in a while.
Its, at times, not an easy game-I have been stuck a few times trying to figure out what to
do next.
There are HO's, but it doesn't rely on them to get through the game, which is a plus for me.
I also like some of the comments made
Of course, not until I started doing the Bonus did I finally click on the compass and discover
that there is a map. Quite truthfully, didn't even miss it, as you know when your done with
an area.
The main character is easy on the eyes and is actually polite and thanks you for all you do. Guess the devs must've gotten a clue about us players being sick of the useless one taking all the credit. Get enough of that in RL!
The story is good-with a couple of twists in it.
I definitely recommend it.

Is the bonus chapter worth the price of the CE, do you think? I'm tossing it around at the moment

Re: Dark & Eerie Games Thread 1
I bought it last week with the CE sale for $6.99. I do like the Bonus, but I always wait for CE sales.
(Isn't there a CE sale this weekend?) For the sale price, definitely buy.

Awesome! Thanks, luv!
I started Penumbra Hotel yesterday, and I'm not very far into it, but I'm enjoying it thus far.
*goes off to see if she can find a pic of the "easy on the eyes" main character of Riddles of Fate*

Thanks, genki. Nice to have friends in high places
I was wondering, didn't you have a post as to how to take pictures from the game
your playing and posting them here on the forum? Or I asked that before and now
I cannot find the answer.
There are some in Riddles of Fate I would have loved to try (noticed I wrote "try" )
to post but I do not know how.
There was one with a beautiful white tiger that I would have loved to capture--before
I put him in my inventory.

Oh, good. I have Riddles of Fate! I'm looking forward to playing it.
How in the world can you take pictures of a game and then post them? Do you use the built-in camera on the computer itself? (I'm so not computer savvy!)
And can you use a pic as your desktop background?

Re: Dark & Eerie Games Thread 1
I knew I had read a post about how to save screen shots. Over at the Challengers game club is a
step by step instruction by Mif.
genki--is there a way to post that post over here?
I just finished the bonus of Riddles of Fate. I found a hint of Voldemort in the storyline.
