At some point last night, my emotions detached from the memory of what happened to poor Callie, and I'm able to think about it without crying now. I wish I could say the same for my husband and eldest, though.  Hubby is just as bad, and eldest is much worse.  We're looking to get a new kitten to cuddle with eldest as soon as possible so that she'll be able to sleep at night again.  No luck so far, but I'm hoping that the right kitty will show up soon.

Genki, positive energies and healing thoughts going out to you and your family. Hug

It may take a little time, but I hope you all find the right kitten to love, snuggle with, and include as part of your family. Heart

I hope another kitty will help heal your family,  especially your husband.  Offering

dj---regarding the puzzles in the new MCF:   I have been stuck on one for the past 2 days.
I figured out most of it,   but I am on the part with the numbers and have no idea how
to get past it.    I needed the SG  just to get past the part before that,  trying to get that
energized  ball into the slot.    Its really frustrating.

Oh, Genki - my husband cried when I read to him what happened.  Then he said - will her husband have enough room in his heart to love a new kitten?  Here's hoping you find a new little one to heal the hole in your heart.  We are so very sorry this happened.  Hug

luvtoread, I feel for you! Here, have some chocolate. Chocolate num  For a few of those puzzles, I think I need a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Huh?

The Puzzle Hint gives a vague description of what to do...and I'm still lost. I click here, there, everywhere, trying to get something/anything moving. I try to piece it all together before I even ask for a Hint.

I get very frustrated trying to work them. Gah!  Good Luck!

Unbelievably, I gave Friends of Felines one last shot on the way home today (even though I was there yesterday), and when I walked in the door... I saw her.  And she is perfect.  Everyone is SO happy, and no one is crying anymore!

    More tomorrow, hopefully with pictures!

This'll be my last post about this in this thread (we'll get back to non-sad stuff!)

The kitten decided to hang out with me for a while last night, and once she settled down for sleep, I took her in to my daughter... and a good thing, too, for eldest had been crying.

"Every time I wake up, I expect her to be there!"

    "The kitten?"

"No, Callie!  I miss her so much!" Cry

I gave her the kitten, who immediately settled in to sleep with her, and when I got back to  my bedroom, I found that my husband was crying, too. :(

The healing is going to take a while, but I know that this kitten is going to fill the hole in our hearts much faster than time alone would have.

Thanks for listening, all.  My next post about this (assuming that I have nothing to respond to in here, of course) will be in the Furbabies thread.

I now return you to your regular D&E! Big smile

Okay, I only got the SE since I used a game coupon. Actually, it's sort of nice not to bother looking for a collectible in every new scene.

Because OF COURSE putting fertilizer makes carrots grow vines...  faceplant

EVEN IF THEY COULD GROW THAT QUICKLY, CARROTS STILL DO NOT NOW, NOR WILL THEY EVER HAVE VINES!!

Well, it appears there's different versions of Weird Park: The Final Show at BF. Some people are getting the longer version. I don't understand how that could happen.  OH!
Wouldn't you know....just my luck...I got the regular version. No candy canes, SG, or bonus play.

BFG said they're looking into it. Yeah right  I'd rather have the extras myself.

esme---I bought that game this past week from the Eipix sale.     Are these hybrid carrot-vines,
or the plain ole mutant variety?  Snicker

So,    I am on MCF:  Dire Grove the 2nd.    Not a bad game,  but definitely not scaring me
the way DG1 did.    I figured a couple of things out before the end of the game.
I do really love the graphics on this one and the pictures you have to put together.

Anyway,   I am on the bonus.   Here is the thing:     Master Detective wears gloves.
Yet,  MD  needs protection for her (I chose female,  obviously)   hands before taping
live wires.    Am I looking for protection for her gloves?

Well,   back to Mastering the Detection---though I couldn't master the last puzzle.

It was not a terrible game, in fact, it was the right kind of "quirky" for me. I liked the Albatross King and Birdland in particular. It's just stupid stuff like carrot vines that frustrate me. How am I supposed to know that I'm making carrot vines grow to make a rope when CARROTS DO NOT HAVE VINES???

Otherwise, it was fine... except for the end puzzle. I didn't get it. And the witch's bad hair/antlers. Whut?

esme-I will hopefully be playing that one during my vacation....or maybe I'll just d/l it today.  Hmm...
I just do not want to forget that I also have the new Final Cut.

I remember playing the demo on Hansel and Gretal and liking it,  just never got around
to buying it until this sale came up.
Is that the one where your helper is Chuckie?!

Nah, he's a forgetful, buck-toothed gingerbread man. More annoying than anything really, but not as bad as some "helpers" we've had along the way.

Esme, I really love your game commentary.  It is truly cackle-worthy.

So, friends - the Crooked Cat game (the non-DP BT game) is on daily deal over at BF today - I don't have it.  Should I get the CE?  I have the CEs for all the dark parable games (except the new one) and I was thinking I'd get the CE for this one, too ... ... ... but a daily deal is awfully cheap.  Thoughts from those who have played it?

It has been a long time since I played that one, pippi, but I remember liking it. For the cheap price, I don't think you could go wrong.

I'm glad I can make you giggle with my commentary. Sometimes it's what keeps me moderately sane when the games get stupid.

On a completely unrelated note... someone please tell me NOT to make the almond roca this year. I have a tendency to bite off more than I can chew at the holidays... both figuratively and literally. I've already made Spiced Orange Sugar Scrub and Healing Body Butter for gifts. Do I really need to make almond roca too?

    I probably do.

Esme - Spiced Orange Sugar Scrub and Healing Body Butter?!  Wow, I want to be your Real Life friend so you can teach me how to make those delectable sounding treats!  Don't make the almond roca.  Don't bite off more than you can chew.  The holidays are more fun when you have a bit of relaxation time built into the madness.

As for the game, they are also having the CE + 1 for $1.99 sale.  It's not exactly BOGO, but ... I haven't gotten the new Dire Grove yet, so ... ... ...

Gads.  I have too many games.  I'll never play them all.  I'm certifiable.

Not sure what almond rocca is,  but if you find yourself with too much of these things,
