Re: Dark & Eerie Games Thread
I have Crown of Solomon, but it's not calling my name.
Here in Michigan we have the Lavender Festival this weekend, so I went to that and then came home and invented "Clean the Fridge" soup... but I'm still not ready to sit down and play a game. Too fidgety.
Maybe in a few hours.
Thanks for the recommendation... I'll start with CoS!

I have no idea what to play. I'm looking for something that doesn't seem pointless and silly and just BLAH!
Can any of you recommend a non-sucky game?
Please???
(See, I'm giving you Puppy Dog Eyes)
Who can resist those big eyes?
Have you tried Fright? LOVE that game!
Or any or the Myths Of THe World games?

Re: Dark & Eerie Games Thread
Oh my gosh, Puppy Dog Eyes is so adorable!
Hmm..haven't fallen outta my chair recently over any games. I'm currently working the bonus in Sea of Lies: Nemesis. I thought it was a good game and I loved the conclusion in the main game.
I've no idea what I'll start next.

Re: Dark & Eerie Games Thread
Hey everyone Long time gone, but been lurking a bit off & on. RL has been a rollercoaster ride for some time (which kinda sucks 'cause I get motion sickness:) so getting back to some serious play time is the 1st line of defense for getting out from under the Cloud of Doom . So I have a question & I know y'all got answers: does anyone recall back, I don't know, months ago, when there was some discussion re a game that had already been forever in the works & "to be released" before long. Centered around an asylum that was rumored to have been based on a real place somewhere, but maybe that was hype. It was crazy spooky looking, a point & click adventure that'd prob end up on steam... is this ringing any bells with anyone? I can't find anything about it, likely 'cause I cant remember the name of it There were pics & maybe a link here, but it looks like the older stuff has been archived or something. Oh, Genki, I caught some of the conversation about your new place & was so happy for you!! hope all's going well - j.

Re: Dark & Eerie Games Thread
Good to see you! I hope things calm down for you soon! We're supposed to have a big garage sale this weekend, and move the weekend after (we'll be renting the place until the the house finally closes ) Despite all the madness going on at my place, I'll need to take breaks now and then, and I'm sick of putting it off, so we're going to start the Memoria group play whenever everyone's ready. I'll at least be watching the intro to the game tonight! (I hope )
The game you're looking for was formerly known as Bad Omen, and now known as True Fear: Forsaken Souls.

Hm. I'd forgotten about this one. And I purchased it long ago....
Maybe I will try it next. Thanks jessmom01 and genki!
(I've wanted a Thank You smiley for a long time, so I went "shopping") LOL
Oh, and yes, Frodo, I played and enjoyed Fright even if it did give me a few "Esme Moments"! Thanks!

Re: Dark & Eerie Games Thread
good morn to all Genki, it's awesome that you'll be movin' in so soon! Hard work, but sooo worth it, & I wish you many happy years & good times in your new abode. Good luck with the yard sale, make $$ & have some fun. I did that once a few yrs ago & it about drove me nuts - whether it was the people, or seeing my beloved books & stuff being passed on, I don't know. But after a couple hrs I just put out a sign that said "Free Stuff" and went inside. Ugh. Didn't have to worry about what to do with leftovers, that's for sure lol.
Well, like Esme, i'd forgotten about Bad Omen, which is good 'cause now I can play it:) That's not the one I was stuck on tho. Late last nite my convoluted brain pulled out of its recesses that the guy doing the one i'm currently obsessing about is the one who did Scratches, so I followed the trail. It's STILL not released, after like 4 years or something. This is the one... (called "Asylum". geesh)
http://www.senscape.net/asylum/ . Remember that?
They've released yet another kickstarter, & an interactive teaser, but no game yet. It's probably good that I lost track of it, saved me months of obsessive waiting... which is about to begin again So I need some good games to play. Decent sale at bfg today may help. And some good stuff at gog, so i'm gonna go shop.

Yes, of course I remember Asylum! As if I didn't have enough games on my wishlist already!
EDIT: And in case you missed it, I've started an Impromptu Gray Matter Group Play.

I guess I'm taking a game break at the moment. Nothing sounds exciting, so I'm playing Fairway Solitaire for now.
Sorry.

Yup, I wasn't able to start Gray Matter yet (today for sure!) but for the past week I've been dividing my solo gaming time between Sheep's Quest and Farm Fables. I find them to be great strategy games and mind stretchers and so much fun... highly addictive!!

There will be another late update tomorrow. Up early and running like crazy during the moving sale, ya know! And now, I'm off to sleep (I hope!)

I bought Black Mirror II for next to nothing when it was on sale at GamersGate, and it's DRM-free! EDIT: It's $2.02 HERE.
... of course, I don't have Black Mirror I, yet

The Sims 2 is FREE on Origin. Just go here https://account.origin.com/cp-ui/redemption/index
and use the code I-LOVE-THE-SIMS

Re: Dark & Eerie Games Thread
If anyone decides to get The Sims 2 from Origin, there is no need for the hyphens in the code. I just checked it out and that's what people were posting. So I tried ILOVETHESIMS as the code and it worked.

Re: Dark & Eerie Games Thread
I redeemed the code okay, but now I don't know how to download it. I haven't got Origin's downloader on my pc. I guess I'll have to figure that out first? Cuz I haven't got any other download instructions and I am feeling particularly stupid today
