Y'all don't forget that if you're putting money out on the BOGO sale, you can get cash back by starting at Ebates! I do love them! Also remember that the sale SHOULD still be working on Bonus Punch Monday, so even better!

Just, yes, your cats are gorgeous !!!!! I too am an animal lover. Have a full assortment here LOL. Thinking about picking up the new European Mystery game and the MT game. That would be my first one. Never cared for them. I demo'd a bunch of older SE's that look good. Liking that Sisters Secrecy game (I think that's the name of it). Hope y'all are staying warm. Snowing again here and the wind is howling <---- me when I look out the window.

Re: Dark & Eerie Games Thread
lol, tesamoine!! This is me when I look out the window----> Temps are allegedly, supposedly to reach the 60's next week.
In that case, this will be me, outside---->
JustTheFacts, oh yes, you are so right. Dogs are a helluva lot more work than cats. Cats are pretty much independent & don't like a lot of fuss.
Not so with dogs...when walking, my dog takes me for a walk. It's not supposed to be that way, I know. According to the "dog whisperer" (I can't remember his name at the moment), you're supposed to let dogs know who's boss, something about alpha dog & pack leader.
Well, my dog knows who's boss...she is!! Really, I hate to yell at her for anything because I know it hurts her feelings & then she looks at me with those sad eyes & I just feel so bad.
I already know I'm a big wuss when it comes to my dog!

Oh brother...
This has nothing directly to do with games, but here it goes anyway.
It's snowing here. Again.
And up to six more inches tomorrow.
I honestly do love winter, but wow. This one is visiting with a vengeance!

I'm in the Detroit area, and we've had record or near-record setting snowfall this winter. I have several feet of snow in my yard. We've had six snow days, and you have to remember, we plan for this sort of thing around here. LOL!
I like snow. I love snow, in fact, but I'm getting a bit tired of it at this point. And it's only February!
So, nope... don't want to hear about any new snowfall predictions!

Two feet! WOW! We normally don't get a lot of snow around here -- some years we don't have any! -- but we got around a foot and a half last week, and I thought that was a lot! Well, for here it is, but still!
Anyway, I'm glad you popped in!

Doorways Chapters 1 & 2 is available at the Daily Royale site, for 75% off, so it's only £1.75
http://www.dailyroyale.com/
There's a trailer on that page, and it looks SCARY!!!

Doorways is a first person survival horror game, with a complex story and a deep atmosphere.
Each level of the game will challenge you with dynamic gameplay and distinct visuals and sounds. If you like the horror genre, you are in for a treat.
Prepare to immerse yourself in augmenting pyschological terror and brace for jump-scares.
If you are into puzzle-ridden adventures, you're definitely going to like Doorways challenges: from simple mind puzzles to timed and agility demanding situations, each level or scene in the game presents to you a different gameplay obstacle to overcome.
And if you are a hardcore "unlocker", this game has several secret places, collectible artifacts and hidden notes that engross your understanding of the back story and grant achievements for you to hunt!

Awesome! Thanks for posting it here in the D&E thread, Frodo! I didn't have time to post it in the appropriate thread, earlier this morning, but I'm off to do that now~

Re: Dark & Eerie Games Thread
This is the part that intrigued me:
That's my kind of thing! What I don't like is that it looks like it may be 360 degree movement, which I'm not terribly fond of. Doable if the game is good enough, though!
Did it come with a DRM-free copy, Justie, or was it a choice between Steam and Desura?

Genki, you can have it completely drm-free ( ), or you can play it through Desura or steam.

Nice! If either or both of you try it soon, be sure to post thoughts, will you?

Re: Dark & Eerie Games Thread
Will do. I had a look at Dungeon Keeper, and the damn thing is too ancient dark and pixelated to be able to see what you're doing. Gonna have to drag out one of my smaller screen monitors from the store room to see if can play on that.
I have been so bad this month - with Doorways, I'm up to 19 games already this month!! But most were PCC, cuz a friend sent me a whole stack of expiring ones.

Re: Dark & Eerie Games Thread
I really want to get it, but I am hesitant as I really don't want another game from
a place I am likely to forget that I bought it from! If it was from Steam or GOG,
at least I would know I have it.
I am playing MT: Raincliff's Phantom. If anyone has played it, and have gotten ito
Chapter 3, there is a situation that has made me laugh.
I can picture these devs rubbing their hands gleefully as they think of absurd game ideas
that have us running around!

- spoiler:
- I have to rescue Emilie. She is inside the jail. I have no key yet to get her out.
What does she want? Help to get that pillow down....the pillow is inside the cell where
she is locked up. That she can reach. But, no, just stand there. Oh, and trying to send
Elf to do knock it down is misusing him.

I just spotted your post. If I buy it from that other site, how do I get it through Steam?
Never Mind. Just went ahead and bought it.

Re: Dark & Eerie Games Thread
Haven't got that yet - all my game purchases this month have been SE or the crazy creepy non-bfg games. But it is number one on the list when next sale comes. Didn't have $14 in the account this weekend!

If you buy it through Daily Royale, you can download the DRM-free file AND get either a Steam or Desura key! That's what I've been doing when I get these indie deals -- get the .exe, then activate on Steam so I don't somehow lose the games!

Oh! That's what the Steam key is for! I wondered what all that was about when I bought something at Legacy, I think it was.

Nice! You get to play through some great games, and the codes don't go to waste!
No reason to jump to get something brand new (ie. MT: Raincliff Phantoms) when you have plenty of games to keep you busy 'til the next sale!
Oh shoot... That reminds me! I forgot to mention in my Games Games Games update that GH has their games 50% off today! Off to do that now~!

Re: Dark & Eerie Games Thread
Gamehouse never had any bloody decent sales on when I was with them - it is one of the reasons I left them. Oh, ok, yeah, M. Dupin might have had something to do with it too.

Re: Dark & Eerie Games Thread
Upon closer inspection, it turns out that their sale is 50% off retail price (even if you're a member), so really not a great sale. I'll wait for a true 50% off sale to participate!
