Well,   this thread is getting neglected.  I miss dj

I have been playing the new GT: Crimson Hollow game.   Rather enjoying it.  It took
a twist I was not expecting,  I love we get to carry dear old Dad around, and there
is even a laugh out loud moment when Dorian takes a crack at Dad.

This family and its associates are never boring.

I hope everyone is doing well and will be back here soon.

Exciting news from the skinny dragon breeder here - I played a bunch of trials and a beta yesterday, and today I played a HOPA from start to finish!! Took 4444ever! OH!

I played Subliminal Realms The Masterpiece, and it's not (a masterpiece), but it was fine for me, I like painting games. I'm not going to get back into reviewing though, I am enjoying the more mindless timeless fantasy world where I can hide away. Don't want to 'go back to work'. Snicker

I've been ignoring the pc now for weeks. Just too damn cold here. Worst winter in my memory. Cold cold cold with icy winds, and it has literally rained every 24 hours for the entire year so far, except for 4 days' heatwave of 40+C, and 2 days last week, with only the clouds. Still cold of course. Hardly ever hear Aussies complain about rain! SingingRain \'s windy  c-cold

Glad your internet is back though!

So. I'm playing HOPAs again now. Have played Marie Roget last night, where I had a terrible time keeping track of who's who. Maybe I'm just out of practice.

Then, His Lordship Tobie jumped up on my desk without considering obstacles, and knocked over a bottle of water onto the mouse and pad and speakers and wiring! Arrghh! But, no harm done. Except that today, I go to play the DD, and find I have no sound!!! pullhair I could scream! I don't need sound to play with dragons, do I? But I'm not playing much with that, am I? I am playing, for only the 3rd day in a row, HOPAs! Anyone want an overweight, thoroughly spoiled, arrogant Bengal? I'll send him by post!

Okay... I'm out of practice... but I DIDN'T UNDERSTAND A BLOODY THING IN DARK TALES: TELL-TALE HEART!!

    Totally confused and bamboozled!

I do see ERS (it's still them, right?) are making an all out battle to be different now. All the recent games have been substantially different from the norm - particularly their norm. Which is kinda a shame, because I liked the old familiar style of ERS games. Of course, Dupin is there as gorgeous as ever (although aging I think! When did he get those bags under the eyes?).

Am dividing my time now between dragons, HOPAs and books. Yay! Finally some balance. Laugh

Now we just gotta rope the rest of the gang back in!

@esme, I played 6 Grim Tales (Gray family adventures) in a row!! Glutton for punishment, but it's all your fault, you made them sound so funny!

I LOVE the Grim Tales games.  Elk grin

Have you played Bloody Mary yet?  That's my favourite in the series, and the spookiest, I think. EEK!

Very confused by the family tree, but still love the games anyway. Silly face

I played Bloody Mary a couple of times before there were dragons, so this time I started with the one immediately after. But I agree, it was the best and the scariest.

Are you still playing BFG games? I am in love all over again with Eipix. Amaranthine Voyage was only their 2nd game (Final Cut was first), yet even by today's standards they were clearly breathtakingly talented. The originality! The artwork! The marvellous sense of FUN they project. Love it all. Will need a two-for to get the rest of all their series CEs. What's your prediction @Frodo?

Yup yup yup! Playing lots of games!!

Have played all 6 Amaranthine Voyages, and the last 6 Grim Tales. Have been trialing games/series I don't know as well. Big smile

Still play with my dragons, but not so much these days, and not every day. I am also reading most days as well. I like to think I am achieving some balance.  Big smile

Not sure if anyone hear knows that True Fear came out on Steam.  I myself bought it
from BF,  but may rebuy it down the road on Steam.
They put in a little more than was on the BF version.
Hopefully a prelude to the long awaited True Fear 2.

I saw that True Fear made it to Steam, and added it to my wishlist.  I own it on Big Fish, but it glitched out on me Overreaction

I, too, am hoping that this means True Fear 2 will finally come out!  I sure wish that the devs hadn't cut the final product... The original trailer was actually scary! Spooky bats

Just sending some love to the old D&E thread!

FYI the new Mystery Trackers is dumb. But then, I really hate underwater themed games. I also hate that they de-mysterioused our character. I liked it ambiguous. MT used to be one of my favorite series, but this one just makes me want to smack it upside the PCU.  Poke with a stick

Also, I'm replaying True Fear to prep for True Fear 2... and I had that moment when I thought... "Gee, this is really, really good and fun and interesting and creepy in all the right ways. It's a shame that games have lost this." But hey, at least there's TF2 which, considering how long it takes for the poor Goblinz guys to make and distribute, I better make it last and last and last!

I had resisted getting Steam for years. I don't play as much as I used to, so I contented myself with BFG. However, there was no way I was going to let TF2 slip past me, so I finally bit the bullet.

I'm hoping to finish my replay of True Fear 1 by the weekend so that I can dive into the new one.

I can't wait for something nice and creepy. So many of the games now have been "cutesified" even when they have a spooky theme. I guess it's fine if that's what people want, and I don't want anyone to think I simply want a gory game, but sometimes I miss a good old dark and eerie game.  EEK! faint dead away backaway

I used to hate Steam, but now, I really prefer all of my games to be there.  You can take a screenshot with the click of a button (default is F12), then upload them for all of your friends to Ooo and Ahhh over.

I've had so many problems with Big Fish's game manager, and sick of the ads and how you have to tell each and every game to download individually... SO much easier on Steam!  I have it load straight to my game library every time I open it, and there's all kinds of sorting you can do in there (I think I have a thread for that... I'll go bump it in a minute.)

By the way, True Fear 1 was one of the games I was never able to finish on Big Fish.  It locked up and I never could get it to work again Yeah right   Worked just fine at Steam!

SO, here's my profile at Steam - please friend me!  https://steamcommunity.com/id/genkicoll/

So TF1 is different on STEAM?  I only own it on BF--but its so long since I played it I probably
    wouldn't notice the difference.

I've been a Steam Customer for ages.  I cannot even remember how I stumbled upon it,
but it really has grown over the years.

esme--I am foxyfifty at Steam.   I will have to change that in 2 years.  Shock
Also  TF2 is a long game.   And they haven't added some of the Bonus Stuff yet.

The content of the game itself wasn't censored, just the intro sequence.  Too bloody for Big Fish's tastes, I guess.  The original is much creepier!  The uncut intro is part of the bonus content if you have the CE.

I just finished my replay of the main game this week. I'm planning on the bonus content this weekend (I do have 100+ freshman papers to grade, but still...) So I will look for the creepy stuff!

I don't play as often or as quickly as I used to, but I am looking forward to TF2.

I sort of abandoned Underwater Mystery Trackers for now. It's just not grabbing me.  Rolling Eyes

M'kay, so back to Underwater Mystery Trackers.

    It. Is. So. Dumb.

It's nothing in particular, but the whole thing is just dumb and boring to me. A few quirks have made me snicker though.

    1. The main scientist guy is Australian and his name is Jackman. Hur. Hur.
    2. The word "rascal" has now been used three times... in all seriousness.

Elf has once again gotten kidnapped. Saving him is pretty much the only reason I'm hanging around to see what happens.

At one point you have to chloroform a baddie, which is fine, but then we just leave him there. We don't tie him up or secure him in any way... because chloroform lasts indefinitely?

Also, I can wipe slimy seaweed off a sunken chest that I dragged out of the water with my bare hand, but I can't wipe loose dirt off the lock piece I can clearly see sticking up from the planter. Game logic.

    Some things never change!
