Re: Dark & Eerie Games Thread
Since tomorrow is Cinco De Mayo, this one seemed appropriate!
(BTW this isn't meant to be insensitive; I just thought the pun was funny!)

Re: Dark & Eerie Games Thread
I'm not sure where to post this, but this is a Dark and Eerie game. OK, Dracula Origin.... is this a stand-alone game, or does Dracula 1, 2, 3, etc., continue the game. The way BFG has it broken up is confusing. I would be very thankful for any help

It's a tricky one, too. I have attempted to play it and didn't get past the first 10 mins!

Re: Dark & Eerie Games Thread
Hi tesamoine! Are you talking about the breakup of Dracula: Path Of The Dragon? If so, that is one game from a trilogy (Dracula: Resurrection, Dracula: The Last Sanctuary and Dracula: The Path Of The Dragon). BFG has only the last game broken into three parts. Dracula Origin is a stand alone game (as far as I remember).tesamoine wrote:I'm not sure where to post this, but this is a Dark and Eerie game. Hope that helps

Yes, I have all of them, and they are:
Dracula Trilogy as jboliver1999 says, with a (got this 3 pack from gog.com)
Dracula 4: Shadow Of The Dragon and (got this from gog.com)
Dracula 5: The Blood Legacy completing the series. (got this from gamehouse.com)
Then in a separate series, there are the two that genki mentioned:
Dracula (1): Origins (Adventure)
Dracula (2): Love Kills (IHOG)
(And I got them from Big Fish.)
Played them? No, haven't played them! (Well, yeah Love Kills I've played. Yummy Drac )
But the rest? Well, I like to own games....

Bought "The Witcher" double pack - it looks really cool and of course was cheap!
The total package to download is over 25G! Now that's scary!

I have both The Witcher and Witcher 2. I barely started the Witcher and am almost finished with Act 1 in The Witcher 2. I have enjoyed the game. The Witcher 2 has two distinct paths starting in Act 2. Once you finish the game you can go back and play again with a different story line. Witcher 3 will be out next year I think.

I am glad to know someone who has played it. I will probably need a lot of handholding while I do some serious shoulder weeping about how useless I am at that game lol

Re: Dark & Eerie Games Thread
Witchers 2 (XBox version) starts out with a tutorial to see how well you fight. It then tells you which level (Easy, Normal, Hard) you should play. Needless to say, I was told to play on easy.

Re: Dark & Eerie Games Thread
Sounds about my speed. Even in turn-based battles I have a nasty habit of dying repeatedly before I 'accidentally' survive. If I'm in a dodgy area, I will save every few paces, seems like, cuz I KNOW I'm gonna die, it's just a question of how

After every battle in Might & Magic X I'm saving the game almost. I do hate to die and have to repeat a tough battle.

Justie, that sounds just like me! I'm terrible at battles. I get killed so many times, and I'm amazed if I somehow manage to survive.

Re: Dark & Eerie Games Thread
In running battles, I take a couple of swipes, run away, heal, save, and go back again for another couple of swipes. It's when I can't outrun the enemy that I'm in trouble!
You know you're bad at battles if, by the time you become competent at killing a certain enemy, they are "too low to gain experience points"

I hate hate HATE game battles. Unless they're super cartoonish like the old-school old-style Mario & Luigi "bosses". Even then, they were my least favorite part.

Re: Dark & Eerie Games Thread
Most of the games I play have battles. What I hate is when you have played the whole game and come to the final boss battle and they ramp up the intensity so you can't win.

Re: Dark & Eerie Games Thread
OK. Got it now. Thanks so much. I think I will go for the 3 pack since I notice in the BFG reviews that some content was deleted out of the games they offer in the Trilogy. Of course, no idea when I'll play them. I seem to be a game purchasing-aholic. :(JustTheFacts wrote:Yes, I have all of them, and they are:

You are not the only one tesamoine. I seem to be one of those game purchasing-aholics too. May I join you in your quest for I get when I think of all my games I still haven't played yet.

Re: Dark & Eerie Games Thread
I'd be embarrassed to admit how many games I have not yet played too, except I know it is not my fault! It is genki's If she would just stop posting those links to other game sites - especially the one's where you can get 6 games for $3 I might just make it.
Oh, who am I kidding? I got even more bfg games left to play!
Okay, I think we have enough for a quorum, I move we start up the game-purchasing-aholic anonymous society today! All those guilty as charged, say 'I'
Oh, meeting venue for this most urgent of self-help groups is HERE!

Re: Dark & Eerie Games Thread
I have to say I'm a big game collector. What doesn't help me is I tend to like RPGs and they are long games. Right now I have 81 hours in Might & Magic X. Since I only play a little over an hour a day, I just can't get to the rest of my collection.

hahahahaha
I'm really out of it today, so I'll catch up on the other posts later, but for now, grinnin' my fool head off
Ah, and for anyone who doesn't already have it, get Plants vs. Zombies Game of the Year edition for free at Origin here:
https://www.origin.com/store/on-the-house
You don't actually have to install the Origin interface to get the game on your account -- just hover over the pick and click on Get it Now -- that will add it to your account.
