Re: Dark & Eerie Games Thread
True Fear is good. I had forgotten about Surface Gods game. I have every Surface
game, only One I didn't care for was Pantheon. For whatever reason, it annoyed me.
I thought Soaring City was fun.
I finished up the new MT game. I really enjoyed it, even enjoyed the Bonus game.
The story line was essentially about greed, but there were some interesting twists.
Glad to have Elf again as a helper. He's so darn cute.
Now playing Fear For Sale: Endless Voyage.
I have the week off, so will do my usual of playing games and reading. I hope to get
some walking in, but the weather is not to promising--other than its not going to be
freezing.

Re: Dark & Eerie Games Thread
I hope y'all had a nice Easter.
Yep, I agree, True Fear was good! It's supposed to be a trilogy, so I'm waiting on Parts 2 & 3.
*BONUS PUNCH TODAY* Use 'em if you got 'em, folks! (As in soon-to-expire PCCs) Don't know when the next one will be.
I used 2 PCCs today. For STT: Galdor's Bluff and the new Redemption Cemetery.
I finished the main game in Love Chronicles: A Winter's Spell. Beautiful story--beautiful game. I enjoyed it because there were so many different things to do and it didn't encompass a huge area to get things done. I mean, there was a lot of areas involved and some backtracking was necessary, but I knew exactly where I needed to go without using the map.
The HO scenes were varied and superbly done, as well as the puzzles.
There are morphing collectibles to spot and I didn't find them all.
Thank you, Vendel Games, for a very classy, well-designed game!

I finishes Game of Gods and it was fun all the way through. I haven't said that about a game in a long time. I even played the bonus section.
Really, really enjoyed it for some reason. It's worth a try if you haven't played it yet. AT least IMO.

I started Game of Gods but never finished it. Now I feel inspired to do so, thanks. Just wanted to add that my fav jump scare game has to be Shiver: Vanishing Hitchhiker.

Oh gosh, now I hope you really like it. I always worry about recommending a game to people. What if they hate it?ddr_cyclone102 wrote:I started Game of Gods but never finished it. Re: Dark & Eerie Games Thread
No worries Esme I like the game just fine. My computer is the one with the problem, it kept cutting off when I would play it, that I decided to give it a rest and play some other games. I really like Bejeweled 3. I had played it then for some reason I couldn't use the same username and had to play with different one. So now I have to beat myself and all the old high scores that I set under the other name. It's fun and addicting, especially diamond mine.

Re: Dark & Eerie Games Thread
I played Game of Gods and I really liked it, Esme. I thought the storyline was very good.
Please don't ever worry about recommending a game. I know I'm way behind on my game playing and I just finished the bonus in Love Chronicles.
I don't care much for fairytales, but I was impressed with the gameplay in LC: A Winter's Spell and I do think the SE would conclude nicely.
What I like about a game, you guys may not like.
I truly enjoy reading everybody's thoughts on a game.
I see from BF's Facebook page that MOTW: The Heart of Desolation is the second CE due out this week.
Oh brother, I need one more punch for another completed PC and with the Bonus Punch Anyday program in effect, I'm going to have to think about this.
An all new PC strategy...
I almost forgot, the first CE due out is Queen's Tale: Sins of Our Past.
LOL, luvtoread!

Gee thanks, Luvto!
Knowing the Twisted Lands games, the flowers probably smell like disappointment and regret.

Re: Dark & Eerie Games Thread
According to their FB page, the next installment of the True Fear trilogy is due out....get ready....
......for this....... "2015"......yep, that's all it says.
The title is True Fear: Dark Falls Asylum.
Why all the mystery surrounding this trilogy is beyond me. Just give us a date, developers. You've already taken way too long to come out with Part 2.
Reminds me of that one game...um, from the developers of Scratches...hmmm, what was that game called again?...I'm trying to think here.
It's really scary and I've been waiting on the release for like 6 years now.
GOT IT!!!!! "Asylum" is the name of the game! See, developers, people can/do forget. Especially me!

Re: Dark & Eerie Games Thread
Okay, I'm cracking up here. I just was reading some of the book titles in the scenes in the True Fear game. I'm so glad I didn't miss these gems:
Emblems: Saving the Lack of Imagination
Emblem Locked Furniture: Where Do You Buy Those?
Emblem Locked Doors: Really?

Not going to hold my breath on this one. Delays like this usually mean the ship is going down, so to speak.

Yes, I believe you are correct, Esme. I'm not holding my breath either.
I'm playing Dangerous Games: The Illusionist. Esme, I think you've already played it because IIRC, you said something about riding a camel?
When I read what you had said, I was like "Huh?"
Now, I know what you were talking about...

I am a believer and I will hold my breath
I really do hope they come out with #2. I wish I had gotten the CE for #1, I have the
SE.
I have been playing Origens: Elders of Time that I bought as the DD. dj--you would like
it because as it goes on, it becomes, to me, a bit HO heavy. The nice thing is you can
switch over to playing Cards.
There is a story behind it that you discover more about after you find memory cards.
There are some achievements, not sure what they are, but I did get at least one for
finding items quickly in a HO scene.
When I heard the voice of a little boy narrating, my first thought was "This is not good!"
Why is it that our lead characters will comment on the obvious, but on juicy bits they are silent
as the grave?

Does anyone know what happened to the 2nd installment of Dark Alleys: Penumbra Motel? I heard it was suppose to come out a while ago, but never did.

Re: Dark & Eerie Games Thread
I haven't heard a thing about a second Dark Alleys. The first one is in my backlog of games to play along with a Haunted Halls game. I noticed them the other day when I was looking at my Purchase History.
ERS has too many "series" games out and I can no longer keep track of all of them. I think some of them are overdue for a final episode.

Anywho... after playing True Fear, everything else is sort of "meh". Right now I'm playing Fear for Sale: 13 Keys... I think that's the name. It's okay. Not terrible, but not exciting like True Fear was.
More dim people doing stupid things and I'm supposed to solve their spooky problems for them.

Re: Dark & Eerie Games Thread
Here's another sequel that made me wonder if it's ever happened. Sadly, I don't remember the exact title of the first one... it was a voodoo one in Louisiana and I remember the bonus chapter was in the middle of the game, which got some people's feathers all ruffled... and at the end our character got trapped in a well. And that's where we were left. Anyone remember that game? And if we ever got out of the well?
