BFG's game pages are still messed up with Firefox, but I can access everything with Internet Explorer. I guess I'll have to contact CS about it. Everything is so jumbled up that the text is overlapping, as are the demo and buy buttons. I don't like using IE. Guess I'll just have to get used to it until they get it fixed. (I've got the latest version of Firefox.)

I noticed that the forums have disappeared from the Game's page. I do not think that
    will go over to well.

Personally, I like Dupin better. He's not a glory hound who treats you like a lowly servant.
He is courteous and appreciates your efforts.
JTF---I am sorry he broke your heart!!
No, I am still not happy with James sending me into a demonic house while he looked around
    outside the house. Chicken Dance

I played a game recently that had a character that was very nice to look at.
Wish I could remember what game it was!

The link to the forums on the game page is in the top right corner in very small and grey print! The forums are freaking about it, but wouldn't have mattered what Big Fish did, the pond fishies always freak out about it.

Thanks-JTF. Wished I had spotted where they put it. I dl/d Obscure Legends-Curse of the Ring. It is frozen on my computer. I got to the forums through the BF GM and found out this game came with this problem (I see your post mentioning it freezing up).

I will have to shut off my computer and restart again just to shut the game off.

Its a shame they never fixed what looks like a potentially good game. All they did was lock the
    Techs thread. Suspect

Damn! I bought that game, assuming the glitches would be fixed by the time I played it, and I haven't got around to it yet.

Guess that one's gonna be a no-go.  Sigh

See, I have issues with the Dupin games because there are ONLY 3 DUPIN STORIES! That's all Poe wrote. Throwing Dupin in other stories just makes me nuts. I can't get past it.

Yes, I have issues. Dark & Eerie Games Thread - Page 15 Loosing_it

I'm going to try the vampire game next. Have any of you tried it yet?

I'd have to say Dupin, also. I've played with him longer. Snicker

Esme, which vampire game are you talking about?

I'm still playing Lost Legends 2 and have been playing for quite awhile now. Man, I'm glad it came with a transporter map or I would be seriously lost. There are so many locations to visit.

luvtoread, you are correct, I do think it's a very good game! Big smile

They're still there, just not easy to find.  On any game page, look at the top right and click on 'Get game tips'.

    Justie, which Haunted Hotel game?

I loved him in Eclipse, even if the others are right and thought he was a bit of a coward. I had a (well, he was a psycho really but incredibly insightful) friend(?) who pointed out to me once - we women assume we have an unpaid body guard whenever we travel anywhere with a man, or get involved with one. I've always been struck by the truth of this, even though most of us will never have to put it to the test.

So I try to be an independent investigator - at least in the really spooky games  Sherlock

DJ, it's something like The Untold Story of Elizabeth Bathory... something like that. Vampire Legends I think.

As far as Dupin goes, fine, put him in all the stories you want, just don't call him Dupin. I'm not sure why it bugs me so much that they stick him in all the other Poe stories, but it does. Say he's C. August Dupin's twin brother Jimbo. I don't care. That's great. Just don't call him the C. August Dupin if it's not Rue Morgue, Marie Roget, or Purloined Letter!
Dark & Eerie Games Thread - Page 15 Soapbox (Yes, I realize I'm being an idiot, blowing things out of proportion and making mountains out of molehills. Forgive me!)

Is Detective Dreamy in other HH games? I think I've played one other with him. I seem to recall being frustrated with him standing around while I did all the work. I don't remember for sure though.

We are supposed to get 4-8 inches of snow tonight. Hopefully by the time it starts I'll be home tucked away safe as a bug in a rug. That's a lot of snow, even here in Michigan!  Buried-in-snow

Oh yes, Esme, I have that game, haven't played it yet. That's the one with all the tech problems.
    (I love the cute pic!)

I'm going to get the new Shiver and Sea of Lies 3.

I think Detective Dreamy is in other HH games (the later HH games developed by Elephant). I don't remember if he was in that really bad one...gee, I can't remember the title.
Maybe there was a character called Professor Shady or something like that.
Hmm...I may not have the right series....

We're supposed to get some snow tomorrow night. I hope it misses us. That is a lot of snow, Esme. Stay safe!

I hope you do well with the Vampire game.   Vampire   I ran into a glitch with a
potion  (not at the beginning, mind you!)   and the game icon is just sitting there,  taunting me!
I plan on buying the new Shiver  (played the demo and got to the "You Sunk My
    Battleship!"   challenge.
dj and I both like the 4 Horsemen.

So,   take off your Cone of Shame and Walk With Pride!!    Dark & Eerie Games Thread - Page 15 74

Whoops, it's Lost Lands: The 4 Horsemen, not Lost Legends. Embarrassed

I've finished the main game and now working on the bonus.

Detective Dreamy was in the HHotel everyone hated as well - Ancient Bane. I haven't finished playing that - like, that's news Cute Dragon

Well, I totally blew my oath about buying games - my itchy "buy CE" fingers went totally crazy and I had game credits, so..... I BOUGHT SIX!!!!

Think I'm winner of cone of shame status too! Dark & Eerie Games Thread - Page 15 A_jG9wtCAAIAy5c

THEN, I realised that 5 out of the 6 games I bought were Eipix games lol!! Been really behind in my Eipix fixes. The exception was Vampire Legends: The Untold Story of Elizabeth Ballory. Had Shiver 4 and Lost Lands in my cart too, but I thought I'd want for the D&E verdict. Hmm...

Enjoy your cold, embrace it, live within its soft and slushy delights! c-cold

Here, it is 34C in the middle of the night, and 38C in the day!  hydrated

Of course, at that temp, even normal Aussies complain about the heat. Not me, I love it! Except it makes the cats anti-social (no cuddles for me today)

That was the one, Justie, HH: Ancient Bane. I didn't finish it either. I thought everything about that game sucked.

I really enjoyed Lost Lands (the main game, I'm still in the bonus). The storyline was the usual, defeat evil once again for the umpteenth time. The gameplay was outstanding.

I know the developers (Five BN) are on their own now (I haven't seen the Alawar logo lately). I wish they would come out with a true D&E game. Their graphics would suit a D&E game just fine, as well as some of the other Alawar developers. They do have quite a few awesome game designers, IMO.

My itty bitty kitty is trying to eat my hand! I mean,  genuinely trying to force it into her itty bitty mouth!

Either we're having teething problems or she really liked the fish and chips I had for tea tonight!  Laugh

I don't dare find out how much she likes chicken! I'm too chicken to eat chicken lol  Chicken Dance

I did have something on topic to say,but can't... oh yes! I will add Lost Lands to my cart next time - has anyone played the demo for Shiver 4?

Crazy Vampire Chicks isn't a bad game. Even if I AM making potions, which I hate. I'm going to be sad if I get to the glitch and can't finish.  Cry

Yes, Justie... Ancient Bane. I remember it being fairly annoying, but you''re right. Detective Dreamy was in that one. I did play it! You have a good memory.  Okay

Esme, our temp went up and the snowstorm is north of us. It's in your neck of the woods. We're getting rain, rain, and more rain. I'm glad it ain't snow!

Justie, I played part of the demo for Shiver 4. I didn't make it to the "You Sank My Battleship" challenge. Already bought it.

Singing   As Long as you  love me so,  let it snow, let it snow, let it snow note1

    That is what it is doing outside.   Snowfall   I didn't even attempt or pretend to get ready for work;
it was obvious school would be closed.   We have a winter storm watch for the rest of the
    day.
I just dread having to go out to clean off my car.   Oh heck,   I just hate shoveling.

I bought Shiver 4. I coupled it with New York Mysteries: Mafia. I demo'd it ages
ago and then forgot about it.
I thought about Sea of Lies, but it's from the same ones that gave us the last Final
    Cut
--which esme and I ranted about it's boringness. Yawn
I am hesitant on that one as the video makes it look similar.

I have enough games to keep me busy on my extra day off. Cow-moo

I, too, will be enjoying an extra day off. We have about a foot or so of snow and drifting. All the cities in the area have declared Snow Emergencies. It's in the teens as far as temperature too. Hubby snow blowed the driveway last night and will have to do it again today.

So... my goals are cleaning the linen closet, playing some games, and practicing to be a dancing shark for Katy Perry!
