The Happening (2008)
Directed and written by M. Night Shyamalan
The movie features Mark Wahlberg, John Leguizamo, and Zooey Deschanel (to name a few), and the plot line both confusing and interesting (at first).
The more the film progressed, the more bored I became. I really enjoyed The Sixth Sense, so I had hopes for this movie, but alas, this movie stayed on the same old anti-climactic track as the last two M. Night Shyamalan movies I saw, The Village and Signs. They started off interestingly enough, but lost steam along the way, finally ending with a definite lame (no bang here!)
The Happening was no different.
There was nothing wrong with the acting, nothing wrong with the directing, nor with the story, per se, it just fell flat for me (and my husband).
I definitely won't be seeing this one again!
