Wow!  Just played the demo for Escape From Darkmore, and absolutely LOVED it!   Elk grin

It's wonderfully creepy!  All about someone going to the Darkmoore estate, and finding journals from someone who had inherited it long ago.
All the groans and creaks while exploring the manor... it really brought the place to life.  And vases that wobbled.  It was just amazing!
Loved going out into the garden.   Happy bounce

I was so disappointed when my trial ended.   Cry    I was going to buy it, but it seems iwin would make me join (and pay for) their monthly club, and I can't afford to pay for another monthly game club.  OH!    Fingers crossed Big Fish gets it soon.    Smile

JustTheFacts, what part did you find didn't work properly?  I couldn't find any problems at all.   Hmm...

EDIT:  Genki, yes, it's an adventure game, not a Hidden Object game.   Okay

    Hey JustTheFacts   Smile

After you unlock it with the key, you have to use the door handle.  BUT, you have to hold the mouse down as you move the door handle.  You can't just click on it, like with an H.O. game.  Hope that makes sense.   Okay

OH GOOD,  An Adventure game,   my favorite.

I finally finished  Punishment for Seven Muses.....or whatever.   Huh?

The game itself really not bad,   its just that I am enjoying Haunted Train much more.
Punished Talents....lets see.    The voice over was so bland I was wondering why they
bothered with it at all.     G\'night!
The storyline....I figured out who-done-it quite early on and why.     Sherlock

Thank goodness no shortage of games to play.   I just hate the feeling of playing
a game to the finish because I bought it and I should.
I like diving into a game and really immersing myself.

I was forced to take a break from Haunted Train.

I noticed my cursor was getting laggy,  but I ignored it as that sometimes happens when
my laptop decides it needs to do something-usually a scan,  or whatever.
But then,  the game just shut down,  with some type of inaccessible error.    Cry
Well,    if its inaccessible to my laptop,  it surely won't be accessible to me!!     Overreaction

Sooo,    I am doing my usual computer fix.    Come here,  worry about it,
have some   tealove  and   Chocolate num .

Go back in a few minutes and hope it just plays.

I am really enjoying it.   Some funny moments.   And Educational.
Does anyone here know what a  Didgeridoo  is?
Huh?   (my reaction when I saw this in a HO scene).
For everyone who does not know,   it is a musical instrument.     Of course,
the whole HO scene was full of musical instruments.     Laugh

Then,   I had to laugh when I was leading one of the bad guys out.   He drifted
along,   no foot movement necessary,  with arms outstretched like Frankenstein.

Before my game forced me to take a break,  I was required to do something I would
not do in real life as I have no desire to spook horses and send my carriage down
    a mountain.
But that's just me being silly.    Belly laugh

A didgeridoo is an Aboriginal traditional musical instrument. It is a long thin hollowed out tube of wood, which makes a deep humming sound when blown into. Quite a skill to play it, all the variations in sound are actually made by the player.

Is your ex Aboriginal?   For some reason,  I'm thinking you have to be to play an
Aboriginal instrument.     But that is me.    Rolling Eyes

Well,   Haunted Train started back up and played fine.   Except  sigh when I went back in
had to redo a little of what I had done before.
No problem,  but I was doing it quite fast and before I knew it,  I didn't grab the oil that I
need to start the fire and it won't zoom in to let me pick it up.
So,   I cannot move on.     I am 95% done with the main game.
Someday I will replay,   but just not now.

No, both of us are lily white, and yes, as far as I know he is the only white guy to play. And until he did, I would've thought the same as you. Because it's pretty demanding, and you have to have a good set of lungs on you! But, he met an (Aboriginal) guy who played it, and he taught him, now he plays in an (amateur) aboriginal band, and they have recording of their stuff.

Meanwhile I never even knew he had a musical bone in his body. And he never showed any interest before - for music or Aborigines.

It creates one of the most amazing sounds! DH is a musician who, unfortunately, does *not* play this instrument but is very interested in music from many cultures. Over the years he's introduced me to many instruments and sounds.

No. Me being me, I just came in, posted my stuff and left. Then sorta got caught up a little in discussions from the email notifications and then basically stuck with places I know. I remember one time I wanted to say something, didn't know where to put it, didn't think to ask or anything  Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes and then put it in the D&E, because that's where people were. lol

This is very me. So. Will go have a look around this place that is already a home away from home.  Embarrassed

btw, what does it mean when you give an elkgrin?  Elk grin

Oh that's just great news, luvtoread. I got Haunted Train, hmm...better go get some chocolate then because you solve computer or game problems like I do.  Gah!

Of course, if it's a game problem, we're up the creek without a paddle...and I'll just eat some more chocolate. Chocolate fixes everything.

Oh man, I really, really, wanted another Escape game.

I know most of you probably played Twin Vaccine a long time ago, but since I'm just getting to it now, I have to say that the crazy old coot/bum/vending machine enthusiast is the creepiest, most annoying character I have encountered in a very, very long time. EW!  Yeah right

I remember him! Yeah he was different, huh? Still, I sorta had a soft spot for him. Loved the game, so good to see something put together so professionally. Ending is kinda out there though.

esme-  Is that the guy who is the former science teacher?    I was hoping they would do
a sequel to that game and include creepy guy.

dj-  I think the first time was with my computer.   The second time I really wonder if I was
clicking too fast.    Still,   it should've let me get that oil.    I already started replaying,  just
    couldn't help myself.

I like that I am getting a musical education resulting  from a HO.     Two thumbs up

Gosh, I don't know his back story yet. He's conned me for some potato chips and a rousing round of boot fishing, but that's it. I'm not super far into the game yet. He is definitely "out there" in an amusing sort of way. The dude in the gas mask though is getting on my nerves. Quit threatening me and just come at me, bro! My crossbow and I will shis-ka-bob your booty! ARG!  dirtywords

Aw, no worries, JustTheFacts!  Hug Chocolate is our cure-all for everything. You know, our computer's doing funky things - eat some chocolate. Stuck on a puzzle? -  eat some chocolate. Been wandering around forever in a game? - eat some chocolate.
But only eat a little bit. I like the bite-size bars myself.  Big smile

My gosh, Esme, that laugh of his...whew!
