I understand that as a free forum, there will be advertisements at the top of the page, but those particular ads are misleading, which I don't appreciate >_<
If you have a REAL private message, you will see a dark blue background under the Messages button at the top of the forum. You should also receive an e-mail, but I think this is an option you can turn off
I highly recommend adding an ad-blocker add-on with your browser -- then you won't see any advertisements on ANY site (unless you allow them!)
