    Weekend Promo: Interplay Irresistibles
Giants: Citizen Kabuto, Earthworm Jim series, MDK 1&2, Freespace 1&2, Die by the Sword, and more Interplay classics 50% off!

Weekend Promos at GOG - Page 4 20c0ccb8398935708887c0224b2b08dfca54f9a1_smallWhen a conversation between gamers comes down to listing the absolutely essential PC classics one can't simply imagine the gaming world without, inevitably Interplay games come up. Most PC gamers are dedicated Interplay fans, even if unknowingly. Even if by some strange twist of life you don't instantly recognize the label, it's an easy bet that looking at our this week's Interplay Irresistibles promo page you'll immediately notice at least two or three titles that will make you excited or nostalgic. The number of unforgettable classics in Interplay's offer here on GOG.com is simply astounding. Today, we bring you all of them with a 50% discount. Let's give our users the chance to talk about some of their favorites!

"My most indelible impression of playing Giants: Citizen Kabuto for the first time all those years ago was of just how FUN it all was. A great sense of humour (British, naturally) coupled with gorgeous graphics, lively characters, a host of play styles and topped off with THE best creature-stomp levels ever presented in gaming."--says our user GTLC in his review of the game.

I have never played a better "sword fighting" game than Die By The Sword. While the controls take a while to get used to, THEY MAKE SENSE! Being able to control your swings, where they go, how fast, being able to do feints, targeted shots, block, ripostes, etc. What other game gives you that type of control?--asks Shnar in his review of the title he calls the Most realistic sword fighting game EVER!

Besides the offbeat humor and the entertaining variety of the gameplay, MDK has one major thing going for it: presentation. This decade-old game holds up rather well thanks to some inspired level design and art direction. The colors really pop out; the game is dark, but isn't afraid to throw in vivid reds and oranges amidst the browns, blacks and grays. The dated graphics inadvertently give an otherworldly quality to the world's architecture. It's true that the assets are blocky, yet manage to be discernible and even look futuristic somehow. There are some seriously awesome textures here that are meant to disorient the player and try to turn genre conventions upside-down. The game is a joy to look at, listen to, and play[...]--says Chad praising the game's "unreal art direction".

That's only a small part of our weekend offer. Head out to our Interplay Irresistibles promo page and grab yourself some of the best games ever made for the PC, 50% off on GOG.com. The offer lasts until Tuesday, April 1, at 3:59AM GMT.

    Weekend Promo: Square Enix Supply
Get Thief, Tomb Raider, Deus Ex, Soul Reaver, and more Square Enix classics up to 75% off!

Weekend Promos at GOG - Page 4 49ca66dfbac3dccaac0fa6cc9b8228e51fc2aa4a_smallWe're all gamers, here at GOG.com, so we know very well that games aren't something you can have. They're something you must have. A commodity, essential to our wellbeing. We take it as our mission to deliver what makes you happy right onto your virtual doorstep. Our weekend Square Enix Supply offers you the chance to get games from some of the most exciting series with up to 75% off discount. Square Enix catalog features some of the most impressive gems in the GOG.com offer. Titles that evoke memories and emotions in thousands and thousands of gamers. The character cast of the Square Enix stable alone is impressive enough to make one's heart race. If GOG.com had a red carpet, celebrities such as Lara Croft, Garret the Master Thief, Agent 47, Kain and Raziel, and JC Denton would arrive to walk it on a limousine marked by Square Enix logo. Let's take a quick look at the featured games, shall we?

Lara Croft is the ever-shining star of the Tomb Raider series. Lately her character has undergone some major changes. Here, we give you a chance to spend some quality time with good--erm--classic Lara. Tomb Raider 1+2+3, Tomb Raider: Last Revelation + Chronicles, and Tomb Raider: Angel of Darkness sum up all of the miss Croft's early career, for only $3.99 each!

Yet another hero who is a fan of property re-assignment concept, Garret the Thief has now made a comeback with a new game. The word on the street is that the new title is very nice, but not quite what the long-time fans of the series expected from a Thief game. On GOG.com you can catch up with all of Garret's classic adventures, as long as you can keep up with him, as he silently moves through the shadows. Thief Gold, Thief 2: The Metal Age, and Thief 3: The Deadly Shadows let you experience the life of a thievery archmaster, for only $3.49 each!

Not really in the mood for action and adventure? Startopia takes the classic city-builder genre to the stars and lets you manage a fully simulated alien society of nine distinctive races in which each citizen's mood, needs, and goals can be individually tracked. You'll get some help from VAL--your AI advisor--brilliantly voiced by William Franklyn, the British actor famous for his Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy radio performance. The game is only $1.49 this weekend!

That's only a small taste of the Square Enix titles you can get up to 75% off this weekend. Head out to our Square Enix Supply promo page, to check out the whole offer available until Tuesday, April 8, at 3:59AM GMT. Enjoy your weekend!

    Weekend Promo: Elite EA Assembly
Theme Hospital, Wing Commander & Privateer series, and many more EA classics 60% off

Weekend Promos at GOG - Page 4 A7a4d1c8811eee18631ae3b71ca5e8f960cd7a85_small
Making games is more than just craftsmanship. Game development often goes into the realm of arts. Not just, any kind of arts, mind you. Certainly not the unplugged kind. Nope. The electronic kind. If that's not a good reason to call your game developing and publishing company Electronic Arts, then I don't know what is. Found 30 years ago, EA is now one of the worlds biggest supplier of computer games and a synonymous of a gaming industry giant. As such, it offers an unimaginable variety of titles from every and any possible genre. This weekend a Elite EA Assembly of games is available 60% off on GOG.com. Let's look at some of the games that put the "A" in EA!

Richard Gariott's Ultima remains an icon of computer RPGs, and many gamers consider Ultima 7 to be the best entry in the entire series. Our Complete Edition includes all four chapters of the game--The Black Gate, Forge of Virtue, Serpent Isle and The Silver Seed--in one handy DRM-free package. Become the virtuous Avatar, the savior of Britannia, to discover the origin of many strange occurrences spreading across the land and to stop the mysterious malicious entity, known as the Guardian, from pushing the world into its doom. With countless hours of deep and satisfying gameplay, this one is a must for all the RPG fans! There's no reason to stop at lucky number seven, though. The whole Ultima series--including the groundbreaking 3D dungeon crawler: Ultima Underworld 1+2--is on promo, so you can experience every single adventure of the Avatar (formerly know as "the Stranger") 60% off!

What Ultima is to RPGs, the Wing Commander series is to the space sim genre. Follow the story of the war between Terrans and the feline menace Kilrathi in Wing Commander 1+2 and Wing Commander 3: Heart of Tiger, then once the world is over and a shaky allience is formed with the cat-like aliens, face new enemies threatening the Confederation in Wing Commander 4: The Price of Freedom. The 3rd and 4th installments of the series use full motion video cutscenes to tell its elaborate stories and feature big names such as Mark Hamill, Malcolm MacDowell, and John Rhys-Davies as the Wing Commander universe prominent characters. You can also choose your own fate and pursue your goals as a mercenary, a trader, or even a space pirate in the series' popular open-ended spin-off, Wing Commander: Privateer.

Not a space-sim or RPG fan? More of an armchair general? Not a problem! Thare's plenty of trategic/managarial games in our Elite EA Assembly, as well! Populous is the original "god game", giving you the ability to shape the world and the fates of its inhabitants in a multi-layered strategic gameplay. Syndicate does pretty much the same thing, using the means of brutal corporate rivalry, cyber-implant technology, and espionage in a dark, dystopian future. Theme Hospital puts you in charge of a high-profile medical facility, making you--once again--the master of life and death. Finally, Sim City 2000 SE makes you the mayor of an aspiring virtual town, that whishes to develop into a metropoly.

That's just a small sample of the selection of over 40 classics available in our Elite EA Assembly weekend promo. Head out to the promo page to pick your favoritres 60% off, until Monday, April 21, at 3:59AM GMT.

Weekend Promo: Supremacy Special up to 80% off!
Age of Wonders, King of Dragon Pass, Darwinia, and other strategy classics up to 80% off!

Weekend Promos at GOG - Page 4 82c5598b17c93793d874c790bf1d46782d31325b_smallWe know that you like to be in charge. We know that you like that feeling of power and the constant pressure of one life-and-death decision after another. Whether you are in the battlefield, commanding your troops, in a warlord's tent deciding the life and death of your subjects, or in a city hall, placing miniature buildings on a map--you flourish. Leadership is your element. Knowing that, we've prepared a Supremacy Special promo to cater to your tastes. Or rather: to nourish that ever-present hunger for power that you have. Let's take a look at a few of the games on this weekend's offer, shall we?

If you've been eyeing Age of Wonders 3, but you're unsure if it will suit your taste well, this is your chance to sample the concepts of the series. On this promo you'll find all of its predecessors: Age of Wonders, Age of Wonders 2: The Wizard's Throne, and Age of Wonders: Shadow Magic, which offers virtually infinite playtime with its random map generator feature. If you like turn-based strategy games following the time-proven explore, expand, exploit, and exterminate scheme, but you haven't had the chance to play these games, now you can--for half the regular price, with the first game for as little as $2.99 and both sequels for $4.99 each!

The unique storytelling gem King of Dragon Pass puts you in charge of a clan of colonists in an unexplored territory. The ways the story of your clan can unfold are virtually limitless! Every single decision you make affects the slowly-unravelling tale. There's consequence to every action in this game and the choices between right or wrong rarely are apparent. Wrong choices don't end the game, though. Like in real life, they just make things harder. This community favorite, one of the highest-rated games on GOG.com (and rightfully so!), can be yours for only $2.39.

If you enjoy the turn-based mechanics of the Heroes of Might and Magic series, but you would like to immerse yourself even deeper in a complex and extensive gameworld, don't miss Eador: Genesis. When we originally released this Russian masterpiece, we said that the single-player campaign can take up to 200 hours to beat. Our colleague from the support team, who knows the game by heart came asking later how did we come up with such a number. We told him, that 200 hours is the expected playtime stated by the developer. "Must have been a speedrun"--our friend commented, and we believe him (GOG.com support is known to be trustworthy, afterall). So brace yourselves--for only $2.39 you'll get more than 200 hours of playtime.

But that's only scratching the surface of our weekend promo! There are many more games to challenge your leadership skills on the Supremacy Special promo page, so go ahead and check them out now! The offer will last until Tuesday, April 29, at 3:59AM GMT.

    Weekend Promo: Unbelievably Ubi
Heroes of Might and Magic series, Assassin's Creed, Rayman Origins, FarCry 1 and 2, modern Prince of Persia games, and many more unforgettable Ubisoft titles 60% off

Weekend Promos at GOG - Page 4 638b49abda7572dc2193444bdb262fd8df16bce8_smallWelcome to our unbelievable Unbelievably Ubi promo, celebrating one of the most unique modern game publishers: Ubisoft, famous for releasing original titles, full of pure gaming magic and memorable moments. This weekend you can get more than 40 Ubisoft titles 60% off. Amazing action-adventures in the ancient or medieval Middle East or dystopian future, first-person perspective shooters telling the stories of secret agents or special forces operatives stranded on dangerous islands, strategies set in fantastic lands, the distant future, or our very own mundane reality, colorful platformers, racing games, classic dungeon-crawling RPGs--all this and more waiting for you and tempting you with low, low prices. Let's put some titles in the spotlight, shall we?

Heroes of Might and Magic is a game series so prominent, that it surely needs no introduction. In fantasy turn-based strategies it's quite hard to find a match for this legendary saga that challenges our strategic and management skills since the year 1996. Based on the successful setting of the fan-favorite classic cRPG, Might and Magic, it achieved a great balance between accessibility and complexity that resonates perfectly with gamers. After all these years Heroes of Might and Magic 3: Complete Edition is still considered by many to be the perfect turn-based strategy title. Some fans, however, prefer the more modern Heroes of Might and Magic 5: Bundle, that takes the beloved mechanics into the beautiful realm of 3D graphics. That's only two titles, though. All of our Might and Magic games, strategy and RPG alike, can be found 60% off in the promo page.

Rayman is an iconic character and his platformer games entertained generations of gamers. As many other platformer series, his adventures also took a turn into the realm of 3D. They were quite successful at that, mind you, but there's something about the run-and-jump genre, that simply makes it work best in two dimensions. Rayman Origins takes us back to the 2D roots of platformer gaming, and reminds us why this kind of graphics and this kind of gameplay is a perfect match. Plus, it introduces a lot of fresh ideas while doing so.

Far Cry and Far Cry 2: Fortune's Edition will take you on a dangerous voyage through breathtaking locations filled to the brim with dangerous foes and ruthless beasts. The first one released 10 years ago, those elaborate FPS titles were deemed revolutionary--not only in the graphics layer, but also for their huge open worlds allowing for semi-sandbox gameplay. Are you ready to face the tropical heat?

All of those Ubisoft games, and many more, can be yours for 60% off this weekend. Go to the Unbelievably Ubi to check out the details of this Unbelievably Ubi sale. The offer ends on Tuesday, May 6 at 3:59AM GMT. Don't miss out!

Weekend Promo: IndieMix up to 85% off!
Miasmata, the Geneforge Saga, Hotline Miami, and more up to 85% off!

Weekend Promos at GOG - Page 4 8e0ed1682d71c2448361ebe0e885c876773c2576_smallIndie games are always throwing something interesting into the mixed bag that is gaming. Untried concepts that would seem like a risk to the big AAA publishers (whose games tend to have budgets that require scientific notation) are brought to life. Concepts such as an alternative version of Texas, or an 8-bit open world romp through the video game memories of yesteryear have all been brought to us by indie games with all the attention to detail and love of the craft that an indie developer can provide.

Let's check out what we we've got in our own trail mix of indies in the IndieMix Promo!

Are you an explorer? Does the thought of making your own map using triangulation, yes, actual triangulation!, get you all excited? Then book a ticket to Miasmata for only $2.99! After being stranded on an unknown island, you must search the island for the cure to your own illness. Be careful as you are not alone!

Some RPGs will have you rolling your party for hours on end before you can even set one foot out the door. While that can be fun, sometimes it's easier to create party members on the fly, so to speak. Create your own party members using your very will--a single hulking behemoth or a herd of rapid-sting scorpions--in the world of Geneforge 1-5 Yours for only $3.74!

Fiending for a bit of the old ultra-violence? Are you done with being the nice guy, the so-called Chosen One, and saving princesses? Yeah, so are we! That's why we took a drive down to the Sunshine State and signed Hotline Miami for those of you who cried out "No more Mr. Nice Guy!" Snatch it now for $2.49!

This was just a taste of what's in store for you in our weekend promo! We have so many other interesting indies in our trail mix or, rather, IndieMix Promo until Tuesday, May 13th, at 3:59 AM GMT!

Weekend Promo: May Myriad of Games
Waxworks, Downfall, Secret Agent, Chaos Overlords, and many other classics up to 70% off!

Weekend Promos at GOG - Page 4 1c05fdae39e9e8051e2961999f0eec7d026cf76e_smallHear ye, hear ye! In case you missed it, spring has arrived and with it comes our May Myriad of Games!! This weekend we are offering a cornucopia of classic titles, ranging from horror in a living wax museum, a cyberpunk dystopia with turn-based gang warfare to a post-apocalyptic point-and-click adventure where Man is a mostly a myth. The temperatures are high (unless you are in rainy Europe) but the prices are low! Let's take a look at the classics we've got lined up for you!

Downfall and The Cat Lady. Usually, when we write about these kind of promos, we mention one game at a time in these blurbs but these two games should be played together, starting with Downfall and then The Cat Lady. In Downfall, you, as Joe Davis, will explore a hotel that isn't quite what it seems and you'll encounter many twists and tuns that may warp your psyche just a tad. In The Cat Lady, set in the same universe as Downfall, you'll take on the role of Susan Ashworth as you come to grips with the reality of depression and battle against five Parasites, ruthless psychopaths that wear human forms. If you're a fan of Remigiusz Michalski's psychological horror, you can't pass these stylish adventures by!

Before he was known as the greatest ladies man to grace the Earth, Duke Nukem had his humble beginnings in Duke Nukem 1 +2. With classic side-scrolling platforming action, you'll go through Duke's first forays into video gaming fame. Battle against the fantastically evil Dr. Proton, get kidnapped and fight back against zombifying aliens, and see why Duke wrote a book called "Why I'm So Great".

It wouldn't be spring without a bit of chaos! If you're looking for a classic cyberpunk turn-based strategy game, you can't go wrong with Chaos Overlords. You'll wage war against rival overlords sending out your gangs against theirs in a tense war of influence over a vulnerable city.

Each game's a classic in our May Myriad of Games! Grab a wide variety of games for up to 70% off until Tuesday, May 20th 3:59 AM GMT. Spring is in the air!

    Weekend Promo: Adventures with Anuman
Robin Hood: Legend of Sherwood, Syberia 1&2, MegaRace 1,2,3, and more games from Anuman 70% off!

Weekend Promos at GOG - Page 4 9eeb5a063c2a6b66e7ff09a804da85bbe49eb4ae_smallDiscovery is one of the humans' most basic needs. We eat, we drink, we sleep, we mate, and then we go someplace new. Some of us are more adventurous than others, but the need to see what lies beneath the hills is firmly rooted in the human soul. That's why we always seek out new lands. That's why we're always fascinated by legends of lost civilizations. That's why the unknown is our favorite direction. Whenever we're given the chance, we like to go on an adventure! Oh yes, this can be a long and eventful weekend if you're ready for some Adventures with Anuman!

One of the most recognizable adventure sagas must be the story of Robin Hood and his company of benevolent rogues. It has sprouted countless books, movies, TV series, and games. One of these games--and one of the best in existence, is Robin Hood: The Legend of Sherwood, a team-based real time strategy game from the developers of Desperados. You can control up to six different characters, each with his or her own set of skills and weapons. You will have to use these abilities wisely in order to succeed. There are many ways to finish each mission, but the challenge is always to find the best one. This weekend, lead the fight for justice, for only $2.99!

The stories of the lost land of Atlantis have filled our imagination with amazing visions for ages. The adventure games fueled by those vision can set the mood for further exploration of the unknown. Syberia, although it can be seemingly easy located on a map, is no less mysterious and strange than Atlantis. At least in the phenomenal point-and-clicks by the visionary Benoît Sokal, it is. If the earthly mysteries no longer excite you, you can always set out for the ultimate frontier, and explore space in Haegemonia: Gold Edition. Don't expect your journey towards stars to be peaceful and uneventful, though!

That's but a small part of our extensive Adventures with Anuman weekend offer. Titles of varied genre, size, and age wait for you in the promo page, and they're all 70% off until Tuesday, May 27, at 3:59AM GMT. Don't miss out!

Hello! Welcome to your DRM-Free one-step online boutique full of gaming goodness! This here, is the June Jamboree sale, one of our weekly promos, always starting on Friday, at 10:00AM GMT and lasting throughout the whole weekend, up to Tuesday at 3:59 in the morning. With all the new faces around, we thought it would be a nice thing to mix our weekend offer a bit, so it features some neat titles both from our unsurpassed classic catalog as well as our extensive indie offer. Let's take a quick look at some of the games, shall we?

Steamworld Dig is one of the newer titles in the offer. It's a platform mining adventure with strong Metroidvanian influences. Take the role of Rusty, a lone mining steambot, as he arrives at an old mining town in great need. Dig your way through the old earth, gaining riches while uncovering the ancient threat that lurks below. Yours for only $4.99, this weekend!

Thunderscape is one of the golden classics from the good old days. It presents you with many time-proven RPG ideas that work together so well, that it's astounding that anyone would want to modify them. You get a party of six brave champions, a large gameworld to explore, lots of items to collect, stats to build, and enemies to slay. With everything that made dungeon crawlers so successful in the 1990 and some very distinctive steampunk-ish feel, this game is highly recommended to all cRPG fans looking for a challenge. Now, only $1.79!

Finally, Rogue Legacy, an indie smash-hit of 2013, known for its insane replayability leading to severe cases of the "just-one-more-playthrough" syndrome. You will get to choose among the children to pick the character whose traits and flaws suit you the most, and continue their parent's quest retaining the stat bonuses and equipment they managed to secure. A difficult, challenging, but extremely rewarding and fun! Only $4.99 until Tuesday!

That's only a small part of our June Jamboree weekend offer. There's 16 more exciting titles, new and old, waiting to be discovered in the promo page. They will tempt you with their ridiculously low prices only until Tuesday, June 10, at 3:59AM GMT, so don't miss out!

    Weekend Promo: TopWare Reloaded
Jack Orlando, Two Worlds series, Earth 2100s series, and Knights and Merchants: Now with FLAC soundtracks, 60% off this weekend!

Weekend Promos at GOG - Page 4 Ca4b9b62be55c01c6f1b7307ab8410fd77133527_smallThis weekend, we offer you GOG's entire TopWare catalog 60% off, and you'll find that many of the games have been updated with exquisite new bonus content. Take Knights & Merchants, a medieval real-time strategy with in-depth society simulation and epic-scaled armies. Even though the game came out in 2001, a community of talented fans doesn't stop in their effort to, fix and tweak it, make it enjoyable for the modern gamer, and support it with all the features the fanbase demands. All this goes towards a impressive mod, called KaM Remake. Get the game for only $2.39 check out the mod, and witness the magic of PC gaming community! The game now comes with a new official soundtrack, in both high-quality MP3 and FLAC format.

Not really fond of historical setting? Would you rather take a plunge into a fantastic realm quite different than our reality? The magical land you'll be visiting in Two Worlds: Epic Edition should easily satisfy all your escapism needs with its vast and lush gameworld, visuals that remain quite impressive even today, and a well-told story that often lets you digress from its main thread. The Epic Edition we offer you, comes bundled with the game's both expansions: Tainted Blood and Curse of Souls. Yours for only $3.99, complete with the new FLAC/MP3 soundtrack, a poster, mocap session footage and additional sketches (the two latter supplied by our user sim2er)!

Fantasy not really your thing? Well, how about some hard science fiction, then? Earth 2140 Trillogy, Earth 2150 Trillogy, Earth 2160--or the Earth 21-something series, as we like to call it--offer top-notch RTS gameplay in a gritty futuristic setting, at $2.39 each! New MP3/FLAC soundtracks have been added to Earth 2140 and Earth 2160, and the latter also received a "making of" documentary.

We've saved the best for last! Jack Orlando: A Cinematic Adventure - Director's Cut tells a story os a private investigator that has seen better days. He's down on his luck and tends to hit the whiskey bottle a little too often, to ease the existential pain. But he’s one of the good guys. He’s actually the one to show some moral fiber in the city that consumes the poor, corrupts the innocent, and spits out the weak. Too bad he ended up in a wrong place at the wrong time and got accused of murder. The game comes with one of the best gaming soundtracks in history. Composed by Harold Faltermeyer it delivers all the old-fashioned lounge jazz one would expect from a noir movie, and sets the perfect mood for the 1933 gritty murder-mystery adventure. You can have this exceptional piece of gaming music in MP3/FLAC format bundled with the game for only $2.39. Highly recommended!

Of course, that's not all of the excellent titles you can find 60% off in our TopWare Reloaded promo this weekend, so head out to the promo page and pick your favorites. The offer lasts until Tuesday, July 8, at 3:59AM GMT.

    NOTE:
We're currently in the process of uploading all the new bonus content. It might take a while before all the goodies show up on your shelves, but they will get there today!

Last day for the sale. I picked up Dark Eye: Chains of Satinav for $3ish and Memoria for $6ish. (Also both Edna & Harvey games). I strongly recommend Tales of Monkey Island for those who haven't picked it up and who enjoy fun humor.

I am officially done buying games til the new year. I have too many games still unplayed; this is truly ridiculous!  Embarrassed

Weekend Promos at GOG - Page 4 2934e6aa83ae3a259e5d7fd9f52ba5e651d08341_smallWhenever you take a trip down memory lane of PC gaming Interplay titles pop up sooner, rather than later. Why? Because their nostalgia-inducing catalog is peppered with all-time classics. Pick your poison: sci-fi simulators, platformers, RPGs, shooters, revolutionary genre-benders--it's all here! This week's weekend promo brings you these unforgettable titles at a 50% off discount. Let's walk you through some of the Interplay Immortals:

It's only $4.99 for Freespace 2, undoubtedly one of the best space sims ever created, featuring action-packed missions, well-balanced flight model, and a gripping storyline with grueling plot twists. If you're feeling more adventurous, and want to experience an astonishing amalgamation of genres and mash-up of gameplay ideas look no further than Giants: Citizen Kabuto, available for just $4.99. Originally released in 2000, way ahead of its time, the game let's you delve deep into an all-out war between spacemen, mermaids, and giant monsters (seriously!) with each race dramatically changing the gameplay experience and strategic approach. Sacrifice, on the other hand, is a 3D real-time strategy game released before 3D real-time strategy games existed. Unlike the genre’s leaders at the time—the Command and Conquers and Warcrafts of the world—it took the bold step of letting the player control an individual character on the battlefield, and offered them the opportunity to play the game from an entrenched third-person perspective.

Navigate to the promo page, to see the entire selection of 30+ acclaimed Interplay Immortals, all available 50% off. The promo lasts until Tuesday, August 5, at 3:59AM GMT.

Weekend Promos at GOG - Page 4 19272d892e9f46ee2a37b643e96dd81a7f773180_smallThis weekend over 40 classic from the Electronic Arts collection hit GOG.com with a solid flat-rate 60% discount. Games from many genres to suit all tastes and temperaments. Whether you are an adventurous soul, a keen manager, or a daunting pilot, you'll find an excellent match for yourself on our promo page. But before you go there, let's take a quick look at some of the brilliant games we offer you today, shall we?

In SimCity™ 4 Deluxe Edition you don't just build your city, you breathe life into it. Create a megalopolis by weaving together a tapestry of cities ranging from a bedroom community to a high tech urban center or a vacation destination to a farming village. You can create a region of interconnected cities sharing and competing for resources that are linked by a fully integrated transportation network. Use "god-like" powers to create mountain ranges, carve valleys, and lay rivers to construct the most realistic metropolis imaginable. Each decision has a greater impact and gives you the ability to respond more effectively. The DRM-Free Deluxe Edition offered here, comes complete with the Rush Hour expansion, for an even more in-depth urban experience! Only $7.99, this weekend!

If you prefer a smaller scale in your managerial sim, but maybe even more gameplay intensity, you should pick up Theme Hospital for only $2.39. This medical facility simulation takes serious matters like health care and exotic diseases with a hefty pinch of humor. Treating Hairyitis in patients suffering from prolonged exposure to moonlight might be a tad challenging, but its got to be fun at the same time. After all, not every day you get to order flea-powder and silverware compress as a treatment, right. Only here!

Lots of humor, even if a bit darker in tone, you will also find in Dungeon Keeper and Dungeon Keeper 2, Bullfrog's excelent fantasy games pitting iron-clad heroes and heroins against a horde of vile dungeon-dwelling monsters led by a repulsive demon. The twist is: this time around you're the evil boss of the dungeon. Command your minions, design deadly traps, and fend off those damn do-gooders trying to perform their petty quests. You also get to hoard ridiculous heaps of gold and jewels here, and the entry investment is only $2.39 for each of the games.

Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri, just as all of the games above, delivers complex and deep strategic gameplay with lots of factors to track at once--probably even more then the others. On top of that, it presents you with the most important task ever undertaken by the humankind: colonization of space! Taking everything that was so involving and enjoyable about the Civilization game, this one takes matters into an otherworldly setting. The version we offer here comes with the elusive Alien Crossfire expansion, all for the low price of--you guessed it--$2.39!

Impressive? Oh, but that's just the tip of the giant mountain of DRM-free EA-licenced gems we have lined up for you in our Electrifying EA Classics promo! Arcanum, Gabriel Knight, Zeus+Poseidon, Quest for Glory, and many more Activision classics 60% off!
As the weekend draws near, it's time to reveal the next exciting promo on GOG.com. So here I am, shouting from the top of my lungs: Attention: Activision!. Here's a superb collection of 32 memorable titles. Oh, wait... that's wrong. What I meant was: 32 game boxes. Some of them contain more than just one game, so the actual number of titles in the Attention: Activision! promo amounts to over 50! You can get them all 60% off until Tuesday, September 2, at 3:59AM GMT. Let's take a peek into some of the boxes!Arcanum: of Steamworks and Magic Obscura summons the spirit of classic isometric RPGs into a unique world where steampunk meets fantasy in a creative mixture of imagination, weird fiction adventure, and role-playing freedom. Gabriel Knight, a tormented young writter, came to be a celebrity of the point-and-click adventure genre. The first game he stars in--subtitled "Sins of the Fathers"--features beautiful pixel-art graphics, over 7000 lines of fully-voiced dialog, and a dark story balancing on the verge of madness and occult. That's just the beginning of Gabriel's saga. Quest for Glory 1-5 is an amazing collection of Sierra's innovative action-RPGs. Each of the five games can be played as a whole but you can also treat the series as one big adventure, as the character and his accumulated wealth can carry on from one game into another. Experience the game that set many standards in the "new school" of computer RPG!Those excellent games are but a tip of the iceberg of Activision-licenced awesomeness. Stronghold Crusader HD, Empire Earth series, Space Colony, Evil Genius, and more of the fall's finest 60% off!The evenings are getting longer and the summer sun is waning. All the signs are there: autumn is coming. It's only adequate then, that this weekend the prices on GOG.com will fall like golden leaves. Go ahead and take a look at our Autumn Assortment of 27 titles, all 60% off until Tuesday, September 9, at 3:59AM GMT. Let's take a peek at some of the titles!

Stronghold HD and Stronghold Crusader HD both feature a finely balanced mixture of "castle sim" and a challenging real-time strategy game, set in the turbulent Middle Ages. Evil Genius gives you the chance to become an old-school Bond movie villain (only this time, the evil mastermind's plan to take over the world hangs mostly on you), plotting away in his secret island fortress. With plenty of tongue-in-cheek humor the game will give you a tour of all the fun spy thriller clichés. For a more hands on approach to problem solving you can always join the Commandos, a hand-picked group of the army's finest, on their daunting World War II missions. To succeed, your elite squad needs to follow a carefully developed plan, that plays to the strengths of individual soldiers and masterfully synchronizes their attacks. Not enough? Then have a look at all the awesome games featured in our Autumn Assortment, all 60% off until Tuesday, September 9, at 3:59AM GMT.

If you browse the promo page carefully, there is one game there with a bit higher 66% discount. Constructor is unfortunately waving a (hopefully temporary) bye-bye to GOG.com, as the rights to the game are changing hands. This is your chance to get it for only $1.99 before we have to pull it off of our shelf.

Battle Worlds: Kronos, Ether One, Blazblue Calamity Trigger, and more Indietastic titles up to 80% off!

You know GOG.com has a lot of affection for the indie scene and for plenty of reasons. Some devs take on risks that none of the big AAA powerhouses would dare to consider, introducing original, untried concepts into their games. Others look to the past to re-create the feel and mood of the finest titles in the history of gaming, the ones that still give gamers a warm and fuzzy feeling, while adding their personal touch to create something fresh. To give you a sample of what we consider Indietastic this weekend we have a selection of 31 games on sale. Let's take a look at some of those titles:

Dyad, a one-of-a-kind shooter, is a psychadelic trip at warp speed and straight into the audio-visual nirvana. Battle Worlds: Kronos, a classic turn-based strategy game looks to the classics like Battle Isle, Advance Wars and Panzer General. If you ever wondered how those games would feel like in a modern incarnation this title will answer all your questions. Ether One: Deluxe Edition on the other hand is a fresh take on first-person perspective adventuring that, rather than taking you on a trip around the world, deals with the fragility of the human mind.

That's just a taste of what's in store for you in our weekend promo! Head over to the promo page and see for yourself! The offer lasts until Tuesday, September 16, at 3:59 AM GMT!

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series, SiN Gold, Luftrausers, and more shooty titles up to 80% off!

Pistols, machine guns, rifles, cannons, lasers... most of the time they turn out to be the best means of negotiating safe passage through a swarm of aliens, a horde of zombies, or waves of killer robots dead set on exterminating you. You're about to scratch that itch on your trigger finger. This weekend we give you 20+ games that go "pew! pew!" So take a look at some of the titles from this weekend's promo lineup , ranging from old-school FPS classics, to delirious action-arcade gems.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat, the fitting conclusion to the acclaimed series, delivers one of the most immersive and enthralling experiences in the history of first-person shooters, with heavy focus on stealth and exploration. SiN Gold, a true FPS hallmark that was overlooked at launch mostly due to performance issues, is your "shoot first, ask questions later" title, lauded for exceptional level design and smooth mechanics. If you're looking for some indie, over-the-top fun you can't go wrong with Tower of Guns, a roguelike love letter to the insane shooters of the past, full of robotic fiends and evolving guns. Not a fan of the FPS genre? Make sure to check out Luftrausers, a stylish monochrome retro shoot-em up with loads of unlockable weapons and mechanical parts that change the way your aircraft handles.

There is plenty more deeply discounted sure shots in the lineup so head over to the promo page and see for yourself! The offer lasts until Tuesday, September 23, at 3:59 AM GMT!
