    Weekend Promo: Adventures from Daedalic
Night of the Rabbit, Deponia, Edna & Harvey and more imaginative adventure games up to 60% off!

Weekend Promos at GOG - Page 3 1177d31ea0aae5c995556f3516e5db7e59fab57b_smallThe golden age of adventure gaming is not over. Sure there are timeless classics that make your brain melt and mouth water, but you don't have to look to the past to experience captivating storytelling. Meet Daedalic, the makers of enthralling new worlds ripe with magnificent puzzles and pulsating life. Let us take you on a journey with Adventures from Daedalic! This weekend, all of Daedalic's games in the GOG.com's catalog are up to 60%! Let's have a look at some of these exceptional adventures:

Let's start with Daedalic's latest addition to our catalog,The Night of the Rabbit. This point-and-click title of mystery and magic takes you on a daunting trip through the beautiful realm of Mousewood. What starts as a fairytale joyride full of humor and adorable creatures builds up to a thought-provoking finale of joy and fear, laughter and tears. While making your inner child smile, the game will make you reflect on the important things in life. Let the mysterious Marquis de Hoto lead you towards a late summer night's dream.

Deponia introduces you to a unique universe in the tradition of Douglas Adams, Terry Pratchett, and Matt Groening. With its off-beat characters and wacky sense of humor, the game takes you on a hilarious rollercoaster ride through numerous locations across a peculiar planet covered in a thick layer of trash. On your journey you will have to solve many puzzles, experience outlandish romance, slapstick jokes, and many surprising plot-twists. The eccentric world of Deponia is brought to life with detailed hand-painted backgrounds and top-notch cartoon animation complete with colorful voice-acting and funny dialogue.

Or do you prefer to go completely bonkers? Edna & Harvey, a crazy award-winning adventure spanning over two games: The Breakout and Harvey’s New Eyes. The cast of characters ranges from mildly deranged to the certifiably insane, and let's not forget about the little blue stuffed bunny! The minimalistic art-style fits the over-the-top exploits of the disturbed protagonists perfectly. If you are up for some psychedelic fun, join Edna & Harvey on their rough ride towards destiny.

That's only a few picks from this weekend's selection. Go to the Promo Page to see what other alluring adventures you can embark on, with a 60% discount. The Adventures from Daedalic promo lasts until Tuesday, September 10, at 3:59AM GMT. Don't miss out!

    BREAK BREAK BREAK

NORAD HEADQUARTERS HAS DETECTED SUSPICIOUS TRANS-DIMENSIONAL ACTIVITIES ON SENSORS; SUSPECTED INFESTATION OF NONCORPOREAL ALIENS IMMINENT

    Prepared remarks from CENTCOMHQ
    Good Morning, Gentlemen

Weekend Promos at GOG - Page 3 27b5f3766a34153e5817842f9a4e790a20c5c3cf_smallAs of 0615 hours this morning, we have confirmed massive signs of a noncorporeal invasion force that is determined to directly hijack our entertainment and slowly invade everyone's minds. Fast work by some of our Unusual Circumstances SpecOps team has funneled these aliens into a containable area, though. We have managed to secure them in a select list of video games--specifically titles like Deus Ex, Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver, Thief™ Gold, Anachronox, and a few more--and the non-corporeal aliens are currently inhabiting the enemy A.I. routines. That means we can find them, we can fight them, and we can kill them.

The space-time rift that the aliens are using to invade is unstable and our physicists project that it will close on Monday the 16th September at 23:59.59 Eastern Time. CENTCOM has arranged for a video game retailer to steeply discount the usual price of these titles to facilitate intervention--they're all 60% off for the duration of the invasion.

You've been contacted because you're part of the elite few who can handle an assignment like this: we need you to buy these games, install them, get in there, and kick some alien butt. The world's counting on you, soldier.

    Go get 'em.

    Weekend Promo: Point-and-click-a-thon
Get To The Moon, The Longest Journey, The Book of Unwritten Tales, and many more amazing adventure titles 60% off!

Weekend Promos at GOG - Page 3 282fe23649624f7762cb9d22916e085d5fd42aad_smallAre you up for an adventure? Come, join our delightful Point-and-click-a-thon! If you were to install one of these fancy mouse cursor distance trackers, you could easily see that playing point-and-click games is like running a marathon for your tabletop rodent. The more you play, the more exercise it gets. So, in the spirit of keeping your computer peripherals (and probably your wrists) fit and healthy, we offer you a vast selection of excellent workouts. We've prepared 16 fantastic adventure games, out of which 13 have the time-proven point-and-click interface, and all of them can be yours with a hefty 60% off discount, this weekend. Let's take a look at some of them, shall we?

To the Moon is a unique indie adventure with lots of original puzzles and nostalgic SNES-era RPG aesthetics. The gameplay focuses on exploration of a vast world supported only by a dying man's fading memories. All of the interaction focuses on restoring and altering those pale fragments, filtering out the false ones, and--ultimately--allowing the patient to re-live a perfected version of his life in his mind. How much to visit the Earth's natural satellite? Only $3.99!

One of the most memorable and cherished titles in the history of adventure gaming is The Longest Journey, a magical story of two very different worlds, that seem to be doomed to collide. April Ryan, a young arts student, unwillingly drawn into an inter-dimensional intrigue, is the only person who can make a difference. What she doesn't know embarking on her quest, is that there's much more than meets the eye to each of the worlds, and that they're not as far apart as the first impression suggests. The game is available for only $3.99 this weekend. The phenomenal story had to wait six long years for continuation, but it finally arrived in the form of Dreamfall: The Longest Journey, a gorgeous and powerful vision that just begs to be explored. Yours for only $5.99.

The Book of Unwritten Tales uses the time-tested point-and-click adventure mechanics to present us with an unending series of gags and puns hitting the bulls eye on the fantasy cliche targets. The story, the characters, the settings, and the dialog--everything in this game is a twisted image of the fantasy meta-realm present in our popular culture. It does not stop at that! While constantly making fun of other fantasy games, it's very successful in being a good and enjoyable fantasy game on its own. There's an intriguing story to follow, lots of creative puzzles to solve, and plenty of gorgeous locations to explore. Whether you're looking for some lighthearted laughs or pensive puzzles, this game has you covered! It's excellent expansion, that can by all means "stand-alone", is present in this promo as well. Each of them will cost you only $7.99.

That's only a small warm-up for the full Point-and-click-a-thon. Run to the promo page to see the full selection of adventure games you can get with 60% off discount this weekend. Don't wait, because the promo lasts only until Tuesday, October 22, at 3:59AM GMT, and your mouse cursor has many miles to cover!

    Weekend Promo: Ultimate Ubisoft
Assassin's Creed, Heroes of Might and Magic series, Rayman Origins, FarCry 1 and 2, modern Prince of Persia games, and many more unforgettable Ubisoft titles 60% off

Weekend Promos at GOG - Page 3 40710e63fb69f663aad3f44975693ce80b76125b_smallWelcome to our unbelievable Ultimate Ubisoft promo. The publisher is famous for releasing original titles, full of pure gaming magic and memorable moments. This weekend you can get more than 40 Ubisoft titles 60% off. Amazing action-adventures in the ancient Middle East or dystopian future, first-person perspective shooters telling the stories of secret agents or special forces operatives stranded on dangerous islands, strategies set in fantastic lands, the distant future, or our very own mundane reality, colorful platformers, racing games, dungeon-crawling RPGs--all this and more waiting for you and tempting you with low, low prices. Let's put some titles in the spotlight, shall we?

Rayman is an iconic character and his platformer games entertained generations of gamers. As many other platformer series, his adventures also took a turn into the realm of 3D. They were quite successful at that, mind you, but there's something about the run-and-jump genre, that simply makes it work best in two dimensions. Rayman Origins takes us back to the 2D roots of platformer gaming, and reminds us why this kind of graphics and this kind of gameplay is a perfect match. Plus, it introduces a lot of fresh ideas while doing so.

Far Cry and Far Cry 2: Fortune's Edition will take you on a dangerous voyage through breathtaking locations filled to the brim with dangerous foes and ruthless beasts. This elaborate FPS titles were deemed revolutionary--not only in the graphics layer, but also for their huge maps allowing for some open ended gameplay. Are you ready to face the tropical heat?

Might and Magic is one of the 1990s iconic RPG series that sprouted into a successful line of fantasy strategies loved and cherished by gamers worldwide. Now you can retrace the whole history of the Might and Magic games, beginning with the classic dungeon-crawlers bundled in the Might and Magic 6-pack, through the timeless Heroes of Might and Magic 3 - complete edition, to the beautiful modern Heroes of Might and Magic 5 Bundle. You can even check out the intriguing action-rpg spin-off: Crusaders Might and Magic. A whole fantastic universe awaits you!

All of those Ubisoft games, and many more, can be yours for 60% off this weekend. Go to the promo page to check out the details of this Ultimate Ubisoft sale. The offer ends on Tuesday, November 5 at 3:59AM GMT. Don't miss out!

    Weekend Promo: Activate Autumn
Get Arcanum, Pharaoh + Cleopatra, Vampire: The Masquerade, Quest for Glory as well as all the other "Quest" games, and more amazing Activision titles 60% off!

Weekend Promos at GOG - Page 3 1cbdd0270e61881d11241af984105e56d87cada0_smallThe days grow shorter, the weather gets nastier by the day, but as a trade-off, there's more time for gaming in the evenings. It's time to Activate Autumn, with a superb collection of 32 memorable titles. Oh, wait... that's wrong. What I meant was: 32 game boxes. Some of them contain more than just one game, so the actual number of discounted Activision titles amounts to impressive 55! And you can get them all 60% off until Tuesday November 12 at 4:59 AM GMT. Let's take a peek into some of the boxes!

Arcanum: of Steamworks and Magic Obscura summons the spirit of Fallout into a unique world where steampunk meets fantasy in a creative mixture of imagination and pure isometric RPG awesomness. In Arcanum, you get the absolute freedom to create any kind of character you want and pursue whatever quest you find the most fitting. If you're looking for a game that will drain dozens of hours of your free time and have $2.39 in digital loose change--here's your best pick!

Gabriel Knight, a tormented young writter, came to be a celebrity of the point-and-click adventure genre. The first game he stars in--subtitled "Sins of the Fathers"--features beautiful pixel-art graphics, over 7000 lines of fully-voiced dialog, and a dark story balancing on the verge of madness and occult. The game launched a successful and recognizable series that earned its place in the adventure games' hall of fame. Be sure to check the other two games that complete the trillogy: Gabriel Knight2: The Beast Within and Gabriel Knight 3: Blood of the Sacred, Blood of the Damned.

Quest for Glory 1-5 is an amazing collection of Sierra's innovative action-RPGs. Each of the five games can be played as a whole but you can also treat the series as one big adventure, as the character and his accumulated wealth can carry on from one game into another. Become a mage, a thief, or a knight and explore the five huge worlds, each based on a different culture and mythology, from Germanic fairy tales, through Arabian and Slavic folklore, right down to Greek myths. Experience the game that set many standards in the "new school" of computer RPG.

    Weekend Promo: Fast and Adventurous
Atlantis series, Dracula series, Syberia 1&2, MegaRace 1-3, Moto Racer 1-3, and more Anuman games 70% off!

Weekend Promos at GOG - Page 3 5a6cc0042d4fd981c8a854ee5b2a5923fe1305b1_smallHere's a thing about coincidences: they happen. And when they do happen, they sometimes produce awkward outcomes. Seeing that we're offering a whole bunch of classic fan-favorite racing games, as well as some awesome adventure titles on one big sale, we decided to call the promo Fast and Adventurous. How clever of us, isn't it? A play on the Fast and Furious movie series title and the prominent game genres in the promo--seemed just perfect. Then, a day after we approved the title and made it final, came the news: Paul Walker and his driver died tragically in a car crash. Imagine, how stupid we felt. Now, all we can do, is to assure you that we meant no disrespect and many of us are big fans of Paul Walker's the over-the-top spectacular movie series. We're going to miss the man who made such a great job of entertaining so many people.

But we're here for the games, aren't we? 20 Anuman Interactive games get a 70% off discount. Let's have a look at some of them, shall we?
So, let's start with the "adventurous". The stories of the lost land of Atlantis have filled our imagination with amazing visions for ages. The adventure games fueled by those vision can set the mood for further exploration of the unknown. Syberia, although it can be seemingly easy located on a map, is no less mysterious and strange than Atlantis. At least in the phenomenal point-and-clicks by the visionary Benoît Sokal, it is.

If adventures aren't really your thing, and you're here for the "fast" part, you'll enjoy the classic futuristic racing titles MegaRace 1+2 and Megarace 3--all presented in oddly charming TV game-show aesthetics. There's also some of more traditional racing, with just two wheels this time, in the Moto Racer, Moto Racer 2, and Moto Racer 3 fan-acclaimed series.

That's only a part of our weekend promo. Head out to the promo page to see the whole list, pick your favorites, and grab them 70% off. The offer lasts until Tuesday, December 10, at 4:59AM GMT.

    Weekend Promo: Codemasters Catalog
Blade of Darkness, Overlord, Leisure Suit Larry collection, and more Codemasters classics 60% off!

Weekend Promos at GOG - Page 3 78096e1f9ceeafe63df64c6179771a8392ea109b_smallWe bet you missed promos! So here's one for you. And it's as sweet as leftover candy canes, with the entire Codemasters Catalog of great games coming at you with a 60% off discount rate. After your wallet took a beating during our 2013 DRM-Free Winter Sale you might feel the impulse to walk away from such a great opportunity, but stop to think about it for one moment. Yes, the only logical move is to head right towards it. See, it was worth it! There's something new, and something old to be found on our promo page, to start the new year any way you like!

But maybe, just maybe, we should begin with something challenging, to burn all that extra pounds we gained over the holidays. Blade of Darkness (a.k.a. Severance) is an arcade fantasy slasher presented in third-person perspective, delivering a substantial challenge even to the most battle-hardened gamers. Known for gory and satisfying combat it boasts four different characters, each with their very own fighting style, specific weapons, and varied unlockable special attacks and combos. The game was praised for atmospheric level and enemy design, great graphics quality (wait till you see the shadows!), and gratifying combat. Exploring the game's many diverse locations and facing one formidable enemy after another, with death always breathing down your neck, makes the game feel quite on par with the recent super-hard fantasy fighting games.

What else do we have in store for you? Let's see. There are 2D games, and 3D games. Shooter games and strategy games. Racing games and soccer games. Games to cater to all tastes. And then, there's Leisure Suit Larry: Greatest Hits and Misses and Leisure Suit Larry: Love for Sail, famous for its poor taste, but still loved for great naughty humor!

Check out for yourself, head out to the Codemasters Catalog promo page! The offer lasts until Tuesday, January 7, at 4:59AM GMT.

Weekend Promos at GOG - Page 3 B4e9cd48cbe8fd47443dfa23e598955d7fa8e857_smallSeeing just how popular the genre is becoming with mainstream gamers, it's quite safe to say that adventure games made a comeback and are as prominent a genre as they were in the 80s and 90s. Some of the games are firmly rooted in the point-and-click traditions, other dare to experiment with new sorts of gameplay mechanics, bringing a different experience to adventure game veterans. Weekend Promo: Winter Quest Fest
King's Quest, Space Quest, Quest for Glory, and Police Quest series, as well as many other Activision classics, 60% off! Any Questions?

Weekend Promos at GOG - Page 3 Fe0bdd88e5b9b623f1aff121021cde99d2df715c_smallNowadays, hearing the word "quest" your mind will probably follow the train of thought inevitably leading to the realms of role-playing games. But 20 years ago? In the 1990s, when Sierra Online was the towering mountain in the landscape of game development, the word "quest" was almost synonymous with an adventure game. Last week we did celebrate the fact that point-and-click adventure genre is doing almost as well as in the good old days. Today, we take a look back at the best that said good old days had to offer. Retrogamers, rejoice! For we give you the Winter Quest Fest, with all the quest titles form the GOG.com classic catalog, as well as many other memorable titles from the nostalgic treasure chest that is Activision catalog, with a substantial 60% off discount! Let's take a closer look at one of the adventures that await you, shall we?

Quest for Glory 1-5 is an amazing collection of Sierra's innovative action-RPGs. Each of the five games can be played as a whole but you can also treat the series as one big adventure, as the character and his accumulated wealth can carry on from one game into another. Become a mage, a thief, or a knight and explore the five huge worlds, each based on a different culture and mythology, from Germanic fairy tales, through Arabian and Slavic folklore, right down to Greek myths. Experience the game that set many standards in the "new school" of computer RPG. All that, for a mere $3.99. Let our user Rambutaan tell you a little more about that timeless gem!

Today? Torin's Passage, Space Quest 4+5+6, and Quest for Glory 1-5.

I'm dropping my BFG membership this week. I'm a total sucker for a good sale and have a backlog of way too many unplayed games right now. One of my new year's resolutions is to get through my games. Can't do that if I keep adding new ones.  Embarrassed

ETA - Oh and there's a slew of brilliant-looking games at Steam I'd love but am waiting to see if they hit GOG. It never ends does it.  La la la!
But at least I'll try to slow it down a little.  Snicker

lol~ TOO TRUE!  I have soooo many games that I want to play, but not enough time to do so!  Between work, home, autistic kids, and disabled husband, it's a wonder that I have time for anything! Belly laugh
