I have finished the demo of Reveries:  Soul Collecters.

Here is something that made me wonder about upcoming nuptuals.
King Richard is My Love and I am His Love  Wub
He does gooey romantic gestures and says gooey romantic stuff.

He knows I like puzzles,  so he's hidden 3 presents for me.   All well and good,
as he does not hide them well.
The thing is.....I found the wedding dress and he said something like:
"Wear this and keep it close to your heart"    yada yada yada......well...I thought

    Shades of Miss Havisham!!     EEK!

He does not want me to keep it close every day of my life, I hope?

Of course, nothing will go right on our blissful day. I have to save him from
evil. Cause I am Wonder Woman, Xena and Supergirl wrapped up in one.

Of course,  there is the inevitable beast that won't let you in the cave but you
can walk right by him.   Rolling Eyes
You get to your love,    just to have him tell you its to late..... Huh? .
    What a defeatist attitude.
But you plunge on ahead to get the sword.
Now,    if the Sword needs royal blood and you are a Princess,  Queen to be,
why does Numbnut need to practically slice his wrist open---which medically
speaking is really not a good idea.
Isn't your blood good enough.......never mind,   it will leave a scar and hurt like
    mad.      Let loverboy do it.
Also,  why in these games does everyone who thinks highly of you and calls
you Your Majesty have you running around doing their chores?

Maybe I will get it with a pcc.

I'm playing the bonus in Grim Tales now. Rolling Eyes  Okay, so maybe it wasn't a dreadfully awful game, but I didn't care for the connect-the-dots then paint-a-picture aspect of it.
I'm all for trying out new things when it comes to games and love solving innovative puzzles, but Elephant Games...y'all need to go in another direction if you expect me to continue buying your games. (I'm sure the loss of one customer will have no ill effect, lol) Snicker
But, I'm just sayin'....  Soap box

IIRC, I demo'd Melissa K and thought it was very hard. I used the hint button a lot and that was just in the demo. I could've been a bad mood that day, too. I'll have to recheck it out.

    esme---OW!!  Snicker

Instead of Reveries,   which I probably will still get as I have an expiring pcc,   I decided
to finally play Dark Parables:   Jack and the Sky Kingdom.
I love Blue Tea games and was surprised I didn't buy this as a CE.
If anyone has the CE of this,   can you tell me if the Bonus was about
    Rapunzel?
The reason I ask is that the end of the SE shows her and some shadowy witch,
so I was wondering if that is a teaser for the next game or was it the Bonus?

I really did enjoy the game,   though I must comment on a couple of things,
just because I cannot help myself. Soap box

Emma was mad at Jack,   thought he was a coward.   Yet,  considering the fate
of their friends,    why didn't she do something to help them?   Jack would have
    suffered the same fate.
Now,   I know why as a Detective I am so famed.     It is because these people
stand around while I run their errands  (and I am not even a Princess!!).
Really,   I have to go through this rigamarole to  find a key,   then hand it over
so Emma can open the door and then stand around some more?
Why can't I just open the door myself?

The King.   Man,   he need a royal slap in the head.   His letter in the end had
me thinking he was way overdue for an intervention...or assassination.

The game was as gorgeous as usual,  and I really did enjoy playing it.
I like the open shirt Jack wore...ok....I liked the view.   Drool

Well,   I guess I should go back to being a Princess Xena/Jack of all Trades.

After finishing up Jack and his magic beans, I just went back to Reveries.

    "I" just escaped a hole......using magic beans.
I guess Jack is not the only one trading beans for whatever with Magic Man. Laugh

I finished playing Reveries.     I am not a fast player,  but it really
    wasen't a hard game.
    Still,   kind of short.
    Oh well.

    Onward to a new game.
Hope everyone is keeping warm cause here (Upstate New York) it is a freeze your nostrils,
fingertips and toes day. I think it was 3 degrees out this morning. It might be 13 by now. c-cold

I'm kind of excited about it too, Luvto. I am not a normal teacher (Heck, I'm not a normal person... as all of you around here know). Just ask the kids!  Belly laugh

Since I got the new Phantasmat for free (Thanks, Genki!!) I think that's on the docket for the weekend. Sure, I should be reading and grading poetry finals, but I think this is more important.  Wink

I am playing Lost Lands  The Four Horsemen.

I really am enjoying it,  but I just came across a couple of things that made me go   Huh?
(ok,   I know what your thinking:   only a couple??  and Haven't we discussed games
    making no sense?
    )

I love the fact that my character--who by the way I recognised her from an earlier game,
except I cannot remember the name;  she wears glasses,  has a little boy and gets tossed
into other reality situations--  apparently now she will be a recurring game actress--
is sent by Gandolf  (it was a toss up between Gandolf and Dumbledor)  to go steal from
Death  OH!   while he studies  essences.   Yeah right
riiiiigggghhhhtttt--piece of cake.      Unless this is the Hunky Death from the other
game,   which I am assuming its not,   this just seems like the time to tell him  NO.
But then there would be no game to play.   Oops!

Then,   I just met this guy.   Without giving out spoilers,   I get why he locks himself up,
but how does he get out?  He cannot just leave the keys on himself, that would defeat
his purpose,  I think.     Also,   I have to make a potion  for him---yet the ingredients
to make it are  are nowhere locale.....why not?  Shouldn't he have the means
for making it in his house and not in someone else's camp that is not nearby??

I really do recommend this game!!  Two thumbs up

I just feel the need to say THANK YOU to all of you here on the forums. You guys put up with, and even seem to like, my weirdly snarky sense of humor. I know I can be an "acquired taste" at times in real life, so I just wanted to say how much I appreciate being able to come here and make comments that I think are funny and not annoy anyone. Or if I do annoy you, at least you don't tell me so.  Hmm...

Thank you all for letting me be ME!

    Awww, thanks, Genki!  Yahoo!

I'm playing the new Phantasmat one, and I'm really enjoying it. They have done a decent job. It's not like the first one, but I don't expect it to be. That one was special.

I am confused though. I'm at the mall (in the game) and I think my daughter's name changed from Aimee to Janet.

Or I missed a BIG plot point.

    It could happen.

    Either way.

    I'm guessing it's a 50-50 chance either way. Dark & Eerie Games Thread - Page 12 Coin-flip-smiley-emoticon

Lol, Esme, I agree with Genki! Hug

I've been trying to get some games played in the last week or so. I have succeeded in playing a total of 1 game. Laugh

I did get Phantasmat and Lost Lands 2, I don't know which one I'll start next.

Speaking of Hunky Death, man...he is a hunk! He could very well rival Dupin, seriously.

When I saw ERS' new Twilight Phenomena 3 (with a circus setting), I was excited, thinking it would be kind of spooky. It's really not, but I may get the SE just because of the setting.

Finished Phantasmat 3... good game. Dumb ending.

Still not scary like the first one though. I was, however, grateful for the M3 option for the HO scenes. Sometimes I cannot bear to do another HO scene, and this way I didn't have to!

Hi y'all !!!!!  Just wanted to pop in and say hi.  I actually remembered my password which is an amazing feat in itself.  I hope everyone is well and I shall be in here more often now that the weather is freezing cold.  I had to laugh when I quickly scrolled and saw someone was playing one of the Grim Tales and was so confused by that clan.  I had to uninstall it bc it was making me go insane (ok, I'm already close... it was pushing me too close)  LOL.  Two thumbs up
