I like kale, but why do I have to massage it? Huh?

I sure could use a massage myself. Laugh My back's been killing me.

Esme, in Weird Park 3, you do go right into the bonus section. I'd read in the forum for this game someone got the CE version by mistake (I guess). A mod replied they were checking into it and that's the last I heard.
Evidently, there were collectible candy canes or something to find in the CE.

You'll need to let BloomingLilac know that I am charlottekay62 at Steam and have invited her, if you don't mind, genki!

I am not buying any games, particularly CEs in 2015. But exceptions will have to be made. Elk grin  Of course.  Snicker

I decided this partly on the fact that I am not currently playing the games I have been buying, and partly on the fact that games I have reviewed and loved and bought, but never finished playing are now showing up as the daily deal!!!  Embarrassed

I know it's not just that I've been shopping long enough, there really is a major improvement in the quality of the games offered as DDs, and they are not on the books for more than a year now. So if I don't mind SEs, and I don't in most cases, it's a steal.

But if Steam start offering me CEs (if I remember to check in there) at low prices, I am gonna have an entire new library of unplayed games.  Cow-moo

Sadly, I think I enjoyed the bonus section more than the actual game.

Now I have to figure out what to play next!  Evil Grin

A big leafy veg that is very trendy right now. Not my favorite if eaten raw, but I do like it baked into chips or in soups.

I think it's too fibrous if eaten raw, thus the suggestion of "massaging" it with oil so that it softens up. I bake mine... just remove the leafy part from the stalk, tear it into bite size pieces, toss it with olive oil and seasoning... I like salt, garlic, and Parmesan cheese then I spread it out on a baking sheet and bake it at 350 until it's crispy.

I also made some yesterday with soy and sesame seeds instead of the garlic and Parm... it was also quite good.

I will demand this foreign food from my local grocer, where it has no doubt been staring up at me for years, and give the chip thing a try. Thanks! Garlic and parmesan sounds good - on anything!

It is! It's also helping when I want a bad-for-me snack like potato chips.... the kale chips are a pretty decent substitute.

Just what I need. A Loooottttt! of substitutes for carbs, esp sugar of course, and fats. But I'm on the waiting list for a gastric sleeve, and I am determine to continue to qualify without going insane. (I'm on welfare, so the earliest op will be 2 years from now, so that's a lot of work!)

Yum...garlic and parmesan sprinkled over kale sounds good! I will definitely have to try this.

But...I did not know kale could be made crunchy.

I already know the Hubs won't like it. He refuses to eat healthy foods. He's a meat & potatoes guy and I've practically given up red meat. I'm not fond of ground beef and he loves hamburgers.
When I fry his chicken, I'll set me a piece aside, pour Italian dressing on it and bake it in the oven.

It is kind of hard to plan dinners this way and I think it's extra work in the kitchen, but I don't see a way around it. Dunno

DJ-- My meat-eater hubby surprised me by loving kale chips. He'll eat almost anything with cheese on it though.  Mouse with Cheese He likes crunchy snacks, so since we both are trying to eat more healthfully, I've been making a lot more kale chips to satisfy the snack food munchies.

I know so many people who, like you, have turned their life around. For me, it is really a necessity, because my back is too bad to be carrying all those extra kilos, so I get no exercise, and so no serotonin, a natural benefit for my depression.

But my GP argued with me all the way. He is, of course, no longer my GP! He insisted that I was merely overweight, not obese, let alone morbidly obese, which is the only time he would recommend it. But a referral to the Physician left him with no choice but to pass it on.

The irony is, when 'proving myself', I lost a few kilos, not much but enough to take me out of the obese category!! Argh!!  Belly laugh Belly laugh

I don't want to take over the D/E thread with my rambling, so I will just say this and hush. It was a three year process for me before I found the right doctor and support as well as the right mind-frame to even be ready to start the process. You have to do what feels right when it feels right, then everything will fall into place. At least that's what I found. All my doctors have been supportive and wonderful.  Sounds like getting a new GP was the best thing you could have done.  Okay

Okay, back to a games comment. I'm playing Christmas Eve: Midnight's Call... the ERS one. I should know better, I know. I know.

    BUT...

I swear I just put up wallpaper, fixed a chimney, and put down some hardwood flooring before I continued my mission to save my missing sister. Is this a HOPA or a home improvement show???

Seriously, if doing these projects were really so darn easy, I could quit my job and become a contractor!  Rolling Eyes Belly laugh

Isn't is amazing how important it is to save our "loved ones who are danger"   yet we
cannot until you do Home Improvement.
In real life hanging up curtains is a major project for me that I can only hope goes well.

I did the beta for Puppetshow:  The Price of Immortality.    I actually like it.   The story
line has nothing to do with Felicia and Daddy-O.
The beta does not show it to be a CE,  but it did have achievements.

I am attempting Melissa K and the Heart of Gold.    There is an achievement for using
the Hint 50 times.    I will be surprised if I don't get it.
I am hoping my footstool glitch goes away.   I tried to place it,  but I left it floating
    around in the air.
So I did the computer techie thing and exited.
