I liked 1000! Wasn't interested in Castle, never seen or heard of the show, but it seemed okay. All the rest I have and have enjoyed. Small Town Terrors I think is a classic.

Re: Dark & Eerie Games Thread
I was interested in the Small Town Terrors one, but have played most of the others. I guess it will just have to wait. Thought about getting it with a PCC if I have one left. I cancelled my BFG membership for a while. But still might have a free code. If it's a classic, I might give it a whirl. Happy birthday to me and all that. LOL!
Or I could already have it in my Game Manager and not even know it. I probably should go look!
Happy Spring everyone! (At least in my neck of the world)

Re: Dark & Eerie Games Thread
Thanks everyone! It's been an interesting weekend. Just settling down now to play a game. Ended up with Marie Roget... because I'm weak and/or foolish. It's just what I expect from ERS... which you can take for what it's worth. I always love games when there's a fire and everyone else just stands around waiting for ME to fix the pipes that lead to the fountain that will finally release the water that will go in the bucket that I dragged out of the bushes while EVERYONE ELSE JUST STANDS THERE!
Otherwise, it's just spiffy. LOL!

Thanks everybody. I made it through another year. Wahoo!
In other news, apparently spring is over and winter is back. Geez, I'm sick of being cold!

Re: Dark & Eerie Games Thread
We had a beautiful day yesterday. Sunny, about 75 degrees, loved it! Of course, it all went to heck this afternoon and it's supposed to flurry tonight.
I did part of the demo for Mystery Trackers: Nightsville Horror. I'm sure I'll get it if we get a good sale this weekend. Perhaps a BOGO sale? I'd also like to get the new Secret Order game.
I finished Dead Reckoning: Brassfield Manor and I thought it was a very good murder mystery story.
I'm now playing Sable Maze: Forbidden Garden and I'm enjoying it tremendously which really surprises me because I thought it would be sort of blah.
The graphics are awash with gorgeous colors and crystal clear. The HO scenes are highly interactive and the puzzles are decent.
The gameplay is fairly simplistic in style, playing on the Casual setting. If I would've known I was going to enjoy this game as much as I am, I would've set it to a more difficult level.
The storyline is the basic Woman Scorned and Seeks Revenge. Speaking of....
YAY, Grimm (the TV show) is finally back. I was worried. I watched it last night and WTH, Nick? You pissed me off.
Juliette reveals her gigantic "secret" and you walk away from her? Really? That's how you deal with it?
Hmm...seems to me it was YOUR fault in the first place as she was helping YOU become a Grimm again.
You'd better watch it, my money's on Juliette in an ass-kicking contest.

Re: Dark & Eerie Games Thread
Juliette was awesome when she went against Adeline. Actually had her running out and whimpering!
Don't be so hard on Nick. He feels guilty cause he really does love her, but you have to admit
she is scary and Henrietta warned him about her strong powers.
He is feeling guilty and helpless.
I got a beta for Dreamatorium 2 with Dr. Whatsisname. I honestly was bored. Investigator has
to use "paranormal skills" (some amulet) for detection despite the occurrence happening right in front of our eyes, then goes in to make mint tea.
I just could not get interested. I think I made it 10 minutes playing.
I just wanted to play with Elf. So I did. I got stuck on the HO with "I'm an honest man"
George. Cannot find the coin.

Re: Dark & Eerie Games Thread
Oh my gosh, Juliette was awesome! Adeline got what she deserved.
But, I feel sorry for Juliette. Here she is, "changed", probably feeling scared, and when she finally gets the courage to tell Nick, he ups and leaves.
He does feel guilty, but she didn't blame him for this "side effect".
I thought he, of all people, would be a little more understanding about present circumstances.
lol, luvtoread, I got the beta, too. I had to look to see if I'd played the first Dreamatorium. I didn't have it in my purchase history and I surely don't remember the demo.
If you only made it for 10 minutes, I doubt I'll like it.
I'm already tired.

I remember loving the first Sable Maze game then being underwhelmed with the one after that. Is this a new one, DJ?

Re: Dark & Eerie Games Thread
Yes, Esme, it's the newest Sable Maze. I only got the SE. There is a "helper", but she didn't get on my nerves and there is a reason why she's hanging out with our central character.
I didn't care for the second Sable Maze either.
I got another beta today. Something to do with Frankenstein and we're at the North Pole searching for our father or grandfather. It starts off with a dog-sled accident, which is somewhat different. I don't remember a game ever starting like that.
I didn't have a chance to finish the beta, but I am underwhelmed with it, so far. Words don't match the mouth movement (certainly not a big deal if I'm enjoying the game).
The black bar comments are redundant and I've got a slight delay in scene transition.
Oh yeah, I remember why I had to stop (other than leaving the house), the game froze up on me.
I'll go back in and see if I can finish it.
ETA: The beta is called "Frankenstein's Legacy: Imprisoned in Ice".

Re: Dark & Eerie Games Thread
Apparently they have run out of vampires and are moving on to Frankenstein. Wasn't there another Frankenstein game a month or two ago? I think I'll wait until they get to the Sasquatch phase. I would play a Sasquatch game... though there is an ANCIENT one on BF that is terrible.

Re: Dark & Eerie Games Thread
LMAO!
That other Frankenstein game was good!
I tried to play the rest of the beta for Frankenstein on Ice and didn't succeed. There were too many tech issues. I listed all of them in my Survey...was afraid I'd run out of room.
It is nice of BF to offer a diagnostic of my computer, but I don't think it's my computer.
Oh, I remember that Sasquatch game, it was Bigfoot something or another.
No BOGO sale this weekend, maybe next since it will be Easter (I didn't have my glasses on when I looked at the calendar). I am practicing self-control and will not be partaking in the current sale at BFG.

That is good!
dj-are you referring to Frankenstien: Master of Death? I bought it but have not
gotten around to playing.
I have been playing Dead Reckoning: Brassfield Manor. I came across this one shady
character (just 1?? well, one of the many shady, self-absorbed characters) who is
a magician and so called spiritualist. Personally, I say Con-Man.
Anyway, his voice over reminds me of Wallace Shawn.
I am waiting for him to tell me "Inconceivable!"

Re: Dark & Eerie Games Thread
Yep, that's the one, luvtoread. I liked it!
Today's CE, Bridge to Another World 2 is getting really good reviews. I'm going to demo now, but I refuse to buy until we get a BOGO sale.
I'm trying my best to be adamant about this...
My new mantra is...."self-control, self-control, and more self-control"
My sister and I went thriftin' today and I didn't buy anything! Well, I take that back, I did buy 2 books. *sad face*
Gosh, I'm so bad. I guess my new mantra isn't working very well.

lol, luvtoread, no it's not!!
I'm going to have to finish out the demo of Bridge to Another World 2 because as of now, I'm still undecided.
I like the gameplay and there are a lot of things to do, but I detect some cartoonish graphics and it's making me cringe a little bit.
Another MOTW? Well, YAY!!!!

Re: Dark & Eerie Games Thread
I just finished playing Dark Canvas: A Brush With Death. Not a bad game. I never knew if I was a dude or a woman, but that's okay. It's totally set up for a sequel too. The only complaint I have really is it does one of the things I hate with HO scenes. Sometimes the items are not to scale. That irritates me for some reason. Otherwise, it wasn't a terrible game. I thought the music was pretty decent too.
I avoided the sale! Yay!
Though I did think I had more unplayed games than I do. I'm already thinking about reinstating my BF membership. LOL! I'm so weak!

Re: Dark & Eerie Games Thread
Hmm...over at BFG, I'm reading they're doing away with Bonus Punch Mondays although they are keeping the Bonus Punch Program. It will happen on different days of the week now.
I agree with everyone who posted an advance warning would have been nice.
After going through my notes, I will lose a Bonus Punch using a PCC. I reckon I should've used it last Monday but I was waiting to see what SE's were coming out for the week.
I wouldn't have had enough punches for a completed PC anyways, and in this case, I am glad I'm a procrastinator who didn't buy any games this past weekend during the sale.
Okay...onward I go to see if I can find a good/decent/playable SE game.

How about Greed: Forbidden Experiments? I got the first Greed, so I had
to get this one. Though for the life of me I cannot remember how it ended, but I know
I played (first one) and enjoyed it.
I am really hoping for a good sale this weekend as I actually have a few on my "to buy"
list.
