"Pets leave paw prints on our hearts."

Lately have been really missing my beloved Yorkie, Nikki.

He was more than a pet ..

    More than a companion.

In many ways he was the best of me ...

He was my heart and soul ...

Losing him broke my heart into so many pieces .

When I was sick .. he was there before I realized I was not feeling very well.

If I cried ... he was a furry Kleenex, frantically trying to get every tear before it even fell.

If I moved ... he was beside me, ahead of me, sometimes even tripping me  .... ow !!  LOL!!

Always sitting near me but mostly on my lap.

At night he slept on my chest til I was asleep ....

then moved to a nearby chair to watch over me.

    My shadow baby ...

When he died in my arms ...  thought the world had truly ended as lost a loving friend.

    A real love ....

total, unconditional, ever present, never judgmental ..

he was love in a furry coat...  paw prints 1594567168 paw prints 1594567168 paw prints 1594567168

For all those who have lost their special friends

and as a loving tribute to wee Nikki ..

Thank you orphaned. It is true, they are a part of you and nothing can ever take that away from you. He has a lovely spot in my garden, beside the fence he was not supposed to be to jump over, and a lovely plant to mark his grave and allow his nutrients to make it flourish. Every time I so that plant, I will remember him, and feel a little of him is still with me.  Hug
