IT'S FRIDAY !!!

made it through another week marginally sane ....
but is bittersweet today as am losing my longstanding Friday night date .... FOREVER !!!
(and my excuse for saying no to outings ...
...LOL!!)

Hard to believe that nearly 60 Red Dragons are not enough !!
Especially now with our 7 Christmas dragons here ... plus Christmas 2014's offering !!
Shall have to start planning and preparing even SOONER next year !!!

A year ago today, almost at this very hour, I was awakened by the most
earth shattering sound . The house shook as if hit by a train....
Needless to say, it scared me to death but still I opened the front door to see what
was happening.
Imagine my surprise when all I could see were tree branches !! All around the house !!
The door could not be opened or even budged an inch .
The icy covered branches glistened in what light there was as snow kept coming down as it had for hours and hours and hours ..... And the cold .... unbearable.
Yet all I could do was laugh .. as I finally got my tree house!!!
Although none of my versions ever included the house being surrounded by the tree !!!
At least not ON THE GROUND !! After all, I did say tree house --- not treed house !!
Cave quid optes --- be careful what you wish for !!
That was the worst winter I can remember ... the entire City was shut down . No power or heat.
Water mains broke and already nearly impassable roads were now impossible.
This year ... what a (welcome) difference !!! Warmer, breathable air and no relentlessly falling snow.
Yet I would welcome all of that if it could remove the cold being felt inside.
Now there is only some comfort in knowing these things too shall ... although praying for the way things were.
May this season bring comfort and joy to all. And more love than your hearts can ever hold.
