Re: Here There Be Dragons!
I figure it this way, Riddick, if you have a story laid out with many characters needed, of specific breeds and genders and sometimes even lineages, then there is some excitement to be had in breeding rather than just snatching (although, can't imagine not doing ANY snatching).
And certain breeds don't grow in the wild, so the best way to get them is to breed them, but it is no guarantee, so again with excitement and effort - although on a slower burn, you might say.
E.g. Ultra-violet dragon only available by mating Purple with Spitfire!

Doesn't tell me what I want to know orphaned lol
I am full up again! But because got a gold shimmerscale egg! So not helping with faster new egg slot. Now, if as I suspect his lordship has two still free, I might be able to convince to 'babysit' a snatchling for me until tomorrow...
Then I could catch up AND keep egg!
Who am I kidding? By the time he reads this he'll have filled every spot!

Re: Here There Be Dragons!
WAH!! Am so unhappy! Trying and trying and trying...
And no snatchlings at all, never mind one meeting any of my criteria!
1. Snatchling!
2. At least no more than 5 days 8 hours on it!
3. Ideally, ready for instant maturity!
4. Fun breed I don't have!
THEN!!! THERE IT IS!!!! 4 DAY 4 HOURS TO MATURITY PILLOW SNATCHLING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Of course, I miss it.

Re: Here There Be Dragons!
I've been rereading stuff too! It is funny! We certainly have a lot of giggles and happy times here.
And an occasional theft or two seems a small price for the world to pay to keep us out of its hair!
Oh! Have been so very lucky with names! My latest snatchling (love that word) is a plant dragon (not really but that's what it looks like) with a very organised and impressive lineage where all the names have been carefully in a set pattern. Wanted to keep up good work, tried SunTrap - half each of parents' names and got it!
Perfect name for a well-bred dragon who lies around in the sun waiting to snare a passing meal! Cool huh?
