Heavens, this little game is the most talked about since Bad Omen/True Fear!

It is interesting and entirely infuriating, but it is worth a look just to see what weirdness we are all so floored by.

I mean, it's one thing for a game to beat me into submission in just 3 scenes, but when everyone is stuck at roughly the same place, I gotta know what the solution is! SOS!

And who figured it out (so I can worship at their feet!) We\'re Unworthy!

Okay then, JustTheFacts! I will demo the darned thing!

(I have to say, I have been curious as to what all the upheaval was about)

But if I feel myself getting aggravated (in the demo) to the point of wanting to pull my hair out or throw my laptop against the wall, I think it's pretty much safe to say, I won't be getting it.  Silly face

It's much like Machinarium and the other games by Amanita, in that it's all about trial and error.  There IS a tiered hint available (as long as you have them enabled) and there is NO wait time on these hints.

I won't be able to play again until after work, Justie.  Not for at LEAST 8 hours, probably more... Unless I load it here at work and play it during lunch, but that's not for a couple of hours Silly face

That's cause Genki's an expert Adventure gamer.

I'm only a newbie and have no idea what a tiered hint is.  Huh? <---- my favorite expression!

    I'll figure it out, maybe.

I think Genki gets awfully tired of explaining "tech" things to me.

I'm downloading the game so I can give you a visual of how the hints work. Violett - Page 2 Termin10

Glad you like 'em!  Shall I add the Terminator to our stock smilies, you think?

    Back to Violett!

As long as you've chosen the easier mode to play on, you'll see a ? in the bottom right corner of the screen:
    Violett - Page 2 Violet10

You can see that there are four Roman numerals there.  That's because there are four hints!  In the opening scene, you'll see this as the first hint:
    Violett - Page 2 Violet11

You can't see from my screen above that the hint is animated, showing you that you need to grab the cage and swing it from side-to-side.  Sometimes if you wait, additional visual aids will pop up as part of that same hint.  You can make it go away by clicking anywhere, if you don't want to see any more.

Hit the ? again to see additional hints.  If you want to look at a hint again, simply click on the Roman numeral indicating which one you want to see.

This isn't always going to be helpful!  You may know that you need to do x-action, but you may be incapable of doing it!  Keep looking around and experimenting, and eventually you'll figure it out.

    Thank you, Genki!

I did try & demo this game and I now know what everybody is talking about.

First off, I don't know what language is going on in this game. I tried to get the cage a-swingin' but something is wrong cause it refused to.
I was able to bring up the hint showing me how & I thought I understood, guess not.

I don't think my "hand" is working properly. (neither is my patience!)

Grab the cage and drag it left.  Let go.
Grab the cage and drag it right.  Leg go.

    Repeat until something happens.

I went back into the game & finally made some progress and proceeded to get stuck...yep, right in the infamous bathroom.

I pulled on the thingamajig hanging from the ceiling, got the whatchamacallit outta the sink and then my demo ended!

If I decide to get this game, I'll get it for my tablet. Easier maneuverability, I would think.
