Delicious 8: Emily's Wonder Wedding Premium Edition (TM)

I fell in love with this series starting at #4, Emily's Taste of Fame. The characters are delightful, every level has a special task to both further the story, and keep things from getting monotonous. I have series review HERE, if you're interested

Emily's Wonder Wedding is no exception. We will revisit every known character from the previous games, as well as make some new friends. The new characters are beautifully done, and I especially love this lady:
And look at the dress on this one! All of the customers we've seen throughout the games have new looks (save the "main characters")

The storyline has its dramatic moments, unhappy moments, joyful moments, a few mushy moments... you know, general pre-wedding stuff! 'tis to be expected! Well, to be expected if you want to have any kind of interesting storyline, anyway There are many cliffhangers during gameplay, and I found myself wanting to continue long after my wrist had started complaining.

As usual the main game has five main locations that we work out of, each of which lasting ten "days". UNlike the previous games, we also have an invitation challenge for every episode (two days), making five extra levels per location. Add in a bonus restaurant after you've finished the main game, and that is a grand total of NINETY levels to the Premium Edition game! Also included in the PE are three unique wallpapers (one of which is from the year 2020, game-time!, plus wallpapers that can be set from the ending scene, "The Life of Emily" (100 pictures spanning Delicious' eight games), and a soundtrack spanning all of the games (I am partial to "Magical Ireland") - for a grand total of 20 tracks.

The gameplay is what you would expect from this series, with the usual mini-challenges every day, and different products being offered periodically. New restaurants = new menus, etc.

There are three difficulty settings: Beginner, Normal, and Advanced. The Invitation Challenges are HARD, and you may end up having to drop down a difficulty level to complete some of them. I know I did! There are also separate sliders for music and sound, plus options for full-screen and in-game hints.

We get to choose Emily's wedding dress, ring style, and bouquet, and these decisions will affect later levels, adding replayability to an already outstanding game.

Just as a side-note, I have to say that François is the best friend ever What a great guy he is!

In all, I loved the game, and highly recommend it (and the previous four games!) to any TM-lover!
