I'm also anxious about the move, but I also can't wait for it to be over with.

Re: Dark & Eerie Games Thread
I can TOTALLY understand! I'm still feeling under the weather but at least I'm not as sick as everyone else around me!
I'm also anxious about the move, but I also can't wait for it to be over with.

When is it you move, Genki?
And sorry you're still not feeling well.

I would be anxious too. I seriously hope never to have to move. I live in a one level condo and if I can't live here, it will be the nursing home for me!

Re: Dark & Eerie Games Thread
JTF, I hope you're enjoying your reading. I look forward to seeing more reviews from you when you're up to it!
Genki, I was thinking about you and your upcoming move. I agree it's a stressful time, made harder especially when you're not feeling well. Hope you're better soon!
Hope everyone's well and I'm sorry I haven't been around much recently. RL has been hectic/stressful (spent *all day* today at my accountant's getting our taxes done, for one thing ) and I just haven't had the time, energy or even inclination for games lately... which I'm sure is just a phase. But given the choice and some free time, I seem to be opting for sleep. In fact I've been napping nearly every day.
Am I getting old? LOL
I need to catch up on games, though. I'd love to know what everyone's playing these days.

Re: Dark & Eerie Games Thread
I thought I would pop in and say Hi to all. Hope the two of you are feeling better soon.
To be sick while having to pack and get ready to move is just too much
I have been playing Memoria and wondered what I was missing, as I could not proceed.
After restarting the same scene 3x's, I finally had a moment!!
I am planning on getting the new EAP: House of Usher on Monday, using my 60% off
coupon.
r-mom----I've been taking naps for years. That tiredness came from pregnancy!

Re: Dark & Eerie Games Thread
The move will be at the end of May. *sigh* I'm just glad we got three months notice, and that feeling sick is happening NOW, and not when things are really crazy.
And there's the small problem of finding somewhere to live... We can't go to an apartment, as our non-verbal autistic is VERY loud. She yells when she's happy, she yells when she's mad... and she screams when she's not feeling well :( She was sick recently, and a (newish) neighbor actually came and knocked on the door, thinking someone was being attacked!

I didn't know you didn't have a place picked out yet. Are there plenty of places in your area available? Good luck with the search.

Oh goodness, I also thought you had it planned, where you were moving to.
Have you seen anywhere that might be suitable?

We're only moving because the landlord is selling this place, so everything's kind of up in the air at the moment.

Re: Dark & Eerie Games Thread
Aww I hope it will all settle down for you soon, Genki. I would find that quite stressful.
I'm just popping in to say Hi. I haven't had much gaming time lately, though I was surprised to actually get a beta invite today. Something called Worlds Apart: The Descent. It's been a very long time since BF sent me one, so I'm wondering it there is a problem with it. I won't have time for it tonight, but when I do, I'll let you guys know what it's like.
Here's hoping everyone has a smooth, happy, and moderately stress-free week!

Genki, I'm thinking of you and sending you huge (((hugs))). You are such an amazing, generous and thoughtful person that I'm counting on the universe to come up with a fantastic living situation for you... without ghosts!

I've got a busy week, this week, but hopefully we will go. Yesterday I narrowly missed getting in an accident with the ongoing car swerving into the driver's side of the car right behind me. So thus far my week has been pretty lucky!

Re: Dark & Eerie Games Thread
I am so very ill... Darned viruses going around!
Kac, I'm so glad you're all right
Esme, it's so nice to see you!
RMom, I got the first Broken Sword in a trade! I'll be able to do a group play... some day We still have Cognition and a few others to do, too! As for the move, I have faith that everything's going to work out for the best... but I still have moments of anxiety about it. As for the ghosts, we've agreed to leave them behind... Hopefully they'll get the message
Luv, so happy to hear that Memoria is so good! I will definitely get it eventually!
Justie busy reading books... Anyone know what she's reading? I must'a missed it!
Frodo's having fun with dragons 'nuff said.
Anyone heard from Jeannie? I've seen some of our other friends here, but not posting...
Thinking of you, missing and non-posting friends!

Re: Dark & Eerie Games Thread
It actually did get my heart racing. I saw the car "wiggling" around and thought "what is he doing". (not sure whether male or female) Looked in the rearview mirror and saw him hit the driver's side of the car behind me. Thought OMG that was almost me! Was in shock and didn't even think of stopping for several feet but there were many cars in both lines stopped, so kept going.

Re: Dark & Eerie Games Thread
Genki, I hope you find a place soon. Three months is not a lot of time, but I guess it's better than no notice at all.
kac, it really is scary driving nowadays. Sometimes, I'm a nervous wreck and it's because of worrying about what the other drivers are doing as they always seem to be talking on their crappin' cell phones. Glad you're safe!
Real life has been hectic lately, but I am playing games when I can. I have recently started Dark Dimensions 4 and it's fantastic!!
Never have I seen such crystal clear graphics from this developer and the interactive hidden object scenes are a bit on the hard side. The storyline is appropriately D&E. (Yay for that!)
Although Dark Dimensions: City of Fog is my favorite in the series, I think Somber Song is going to muscle its way to the top!
Kudos to the Team for this very well-designed game!!

BORING.
DATED.
LAME.
KINDA SAD.
DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY.
(I'm no Justie.... so I'm not even going to try!)
It felt like a game from five or six years ago. Too bad too, because at least the plot was a little different. You're a fantasy world chick and you have to save the king so you make a deal with a sorceress. Apparently this is bad. You fall through the air for a very long time. Then you land without a scratch. And you find some kid's pet whack-a-mole critter. Then off you go to find artifacts and various whatnots. And eventually you have to shoot purple flame wolves with your bow and arrow. The end.

LOL Thanks, DJ!
I could try to be helpful, detailed, and informative. People might find that useful and valuable.
In the end though, I've just gotta be me!

Re: Dark & Eerie Games Thread
Yes, Esme, your review was very helpful & I can almost bet I won't be getting that game!
I've finished Dark Dimensions: Somber Song. I thought the ending was a little abrupt, but that's quite alright since I had such a good time playing the main game.
I received an Amazon gift card & bought 2 books (so far). I got "The Undead Pool" by Kim Harrison and "The Night Circus" by Erin Morgenstern.
I also got hooked on a series of books titled "The Grimm Diaries" by Cameron Jace. They're kind of like fractured fairytales with a twist.
