I have progressed a ways in this game (with a little research, like kac does) .....I think. Hmm...

Thank goodness this is not a linear game, as I am not doing things in order.

<sigh> Even with a walkthrough I am not doing the magic right. My brain is tired I guess. But I worked a lot on Broken Sword 5 with hubby since he was around. Tomorrow I'll attack Gray Matter with fresh vigor. If only it didn't work so sluggishly.

Luvto -

So I am halfway through Chapter 2. This game is so interesting! The story is really neat - I haven't figured it all out yet, and that is something I really appreciate.

I'm still having a real problem with the save game list scrolling. Is anybody else noticing this or is it a glitch in my game? Honestly, I don't need more than 3 save slots, but I'm spoiled and hoard game saves.

So I figured out my problem above ... and learned I have a glitch in my game. This is probably the same glitch that wonks up the save slots. It's not game-breaking and now that I know sometimes I don't get the correct cursors I can work around it. I also think it is my computer's fault. My computer does a lot of stupid things.

Ahh, glitches! Gah!

There's one in The Longest Journey that two of us ran into (a game-stopping one at that!), but luckily I was able to find a way around it.

PS - I hope my glitch doesn't become game breaking! I don't have the GOG version of TLJ yet ... it's on my list for when I can play all weekend without stopping. <---- This means I may never get it. Sigh

I think I am still on Chapter 2---or is it 1? I never keep track of these things.

I am at the library. I am stuck at a couple of spots

How do you work around that glitch if it won't let you open stuff--like the cabinets?
Its frustrating and disappointing when a game gives you a hard time.

LuvTo - My workaround is to exit the area and go back. So far, that has worked OK. It was very frustrating, because I would think, "Oh, I need to go there and look at that..." and when I went there to look at that, nothing happened so I wandered aimlessly. Now that I know, I hope I can keep progressing.

As for you being stuck:

Question for LuvTo to help her get Unstuck:

Let me know - I will try to help you past it without just telling you what to do. Or I can mind my own beeswax.

It's good to know most folks are sort of where I am. I was afraid that I'd gotten terribly behind since I didn't play all weekend. I don't mind pausing here; I like kind of being at the same spot as everybody else Smile

Definitely Spoiler - Hopefully these are vague enough hints it doesn't just give it away:

Hopefully this will get you over your stuck spots. If not; I can be less vague. To be honest, if I hadn't had the glitch with the filing cabinet, it would have taken me a LOT longer to figure some of this stuff out. But since I wandered aimlessly for a while, I figured some things out before I knew I needed to know it!
