I've often felt that way about a game. I can't even remember buying it. Or I only remember it as ghastly, then I figure I must have got it with pcc or something.

When I decided to review all my games, I forced myself to sit down and play those ones too, and boy what a surprise! Nearly all of them were much better than I imagined! Except those where I was back filling a series, like the Azada series or MCF. The early ones everyone raves about did little for me and certainly didn't make up for the poor graphics!  OH!

    Sacrilege!!  Embarrassed

<sigh> I have a lot of unplayed games too, ones that no longer look inviting to me. I wonder if I'll ever get around to playing them?  Rolling Eyes  Oh well I've definitely learned to be more selective... These days I'm often satisfied just playing demos and betas. 40 minutes is usually enough of most games for me and the stories are generally lacking anyway so no need to find how they end. Snicker

On another note I just bought Rite of Passage: Hide and Seek at BF this morning. I'd been waiting for the SE and hope it doesn't disappoint!!

Don't you wish you could return them if they're unplayed or otherwise unsatisfactory? LOL

I often fantasize about a trade-in kind of deal lol  Laugh  You can get so much off a new game when you hand in an old one! Yay!

Yes... for example, I decided that perhaps enough time had passed and I could go back and finish Painted Beauties and not hate it.

I was wrong, dear friends. So very, very wrong.

I would trade this one back in for a gummy bear, or a lost sock, or even a gum wrapper.

Evil Pumpkin: The Lost Halloween is now out at Steam, and I just knew I'd seen the name before -- that we'd talked about it -- but for the life of me I couldn't figure out why!

    Now I know!

I just got an e-mail with my FREE Steam key for supporting the game on Greenlight!  Whee~!! Happy bounce  The game looks awesome, and did you see, you can play it as HOG OR as an Adventure??  Happy day! Sunny

We did talk quite a lot about it, and I dredged up the developers and they sent us a beta to do. Which I think a few of us did. BFG has also just recently issued a beta, but I've not looked at it yet.

Don't remember voting for it, darnation! Cuz I liked it  Big smile

Anyway, as always, I just happen to have a review for it Whistle

LMAO, Esme!  Belly laugh A gummy bear, lost sock or gum wrapper???? I love gummy bears!!  Wub

I'm like RMom, when I finally get around to playing a certain game, I don't feel like playing it. The last one was the newest Haunted Hotel.
Kudos to Esme, for finishing that mess of a game.  Okay

(I'll resume playing it, maybe when I'm in a better mood)

I didn't finish it. I told it off then shut it down so it could think about what it had done (bore me to tears).

You have to be firm with these games or they'll never learn.

Sorry about the spammers, all!  They've been dealt with, AND new registrations have to get past me first.  If you see any lingering spam, let me know!  There could still be a few newer registrations that are actually spam accounts, so I'll see any NEW spam that's posted and deal with it ASAP.

Heck no, DJ... it is soooooooooooooooooo boring!

And it does the thing where you're say, in the basement sewer thing and need a screwdriver, so you have to go all the way up to the painting in the evil turret, get the screwdriver, and go allllll the way back down to the stinky sewer to use it.  I hate it when a game sends you on a stupid errand just to drag things out. ARGH!  dirtywords

I heartily agree, Esme! It was boring and I just couldn't take it anymore!  Gah!

This makes the second Elephant game I didn't finish. The first one was Ship of Bones. I know in the casual gaming world, logical thinking is almost non-existent, but in Ship of Bones, it was all over the place with no coherent thought at all. It was quite a messy game.
I finally finished it...with gritted teeth, never to be played again!

Of the three Big E developers...Eipix rules my "game" world!!

For me, Elephant's going to have to step it up or I'll settle for the SEs. Same thing I did with ERS and some of their SEs I don't even bother with.

Oh, in case anyone wants to get a CE this weekend, use the code word "CLASSIFIED" to get the sale price of $8.99 on any CE.
I'm not sure if it's a members only sale, it was in my GM and I got Dead Reckoning.

Thanks for the warning. I'll stay away from that one.

I have no idea what to play. I'm looking for something that doesn't seem pointless and silly and just BLAH!

Can any of you recommend a non-sucky game?

    Please???

I really enjoyed Crown Of Solomon's beta, have you bought/played that yet? Two thumbs up

Maybe try a few betas, just to keep you going while you decide on what you are after? That's what I (used to) do when I couldn't make up my mind.  faceplant

Hey, demos and betas can be all I need. After 45 minutes or so the shine of newness starts to wear off and I'm usually ready for a new distraction, er game.
