Re: Our Furbabies
A Morkie? Is that a mixture of a Yorkie with a Mastiff?
I have a picture of a dog with a big head and teeny body.
OK, I looked it up. Maltese and Yorkie. They are cute.

Re: Our Furbabies
Sorry there's no hint I still know where this forum is. Am being siiilllent!
But I thought it would be nice to finally have some photos of my family up here too. It is now the first birthday of my littlest and I still have only the single most atrocious photo of her. But here they all are.
Hope they bring you smiles, as pictures of your babies always bring me.
Schizi is a 2-face, hence the "Schizophrenia" name. She has a solid silky grey fur on top x soft fluffy white fur for the rest of her. And just so charming! She's the oldest, at almost six, and the only one I have now that I actually assisted at the birth.
Then there's Jacky (aka Jackpot), who is a smoky grey medium haired adorable ball of fur who is guilty of bullying Mum by head-butting the hand that is on the mouse, and walking all over the keyboard. She's 4.5 years old and very beautiful indeed. She is responsible for training of this almost perfect slave.
Next there's Tobie, who is allegedly a 'pedigree' Bengal, I even have papers for him, but he is a very short and fat Bengal if there isn't any other breeds in his background. He is very fat, and I am totally unable to get him slim. He is an astonishingly beautiful cat. And very unusual. He does have some of the classic signs of the Bengals, including a coat like no other breeds - in the sun it quite literally shines, so that he have this golden aura surrounding him. This pic is from when he was only 9 months old, and already he is bigger than many adult cats. (He's 4yrs old now) Isn't the coat amazing?
When I got Tobie, he had a sweetheart from whom he could not be separated, so I took her as well. :D Ninja is another 4 year old all-black Short-Haired Persian, with a more obvious claim to a pedigree line than Tobie, and is such a placid gentle cat, as long as you're not a bird! She is my only hunter, but I have an impregnable fortress of a backyard, so she doesn't get to catch anything often, but when she does see a bird, she is awesome!
And this is the Birthday girl herself. She is a medium hair too, part Ragdoll. This was taken when she was only 6 months or so. Her fur is soft and glossy as well. Not a good photo at all though. The problem was, as soon as I have something new in my hands, like say, a camera, she has to inspect it immediately, so you can never get her at a good angle.
That's my family and I am so proud of them! Such different and interesting characteristics and backgrounds and genetic influences... and all five of them capable of reducing me to a adoring fan with their cuddles and their charms.

Beautiful pics, Justie So you ended up keeping the ragdoll, after all? How big has she gotten now?

Re: Our Furbabies
Yes, Molly really adopted me, not the other way around.
When little enough, she would sleep in the crook of my elbow while I typed on the computer. One of those special memories that I will remember forever as the reason life is worthwhile.
After some friction, she also adopted Tobie, the big one. Watching her try to put her front arm around him to get him a headlock was hilarious.
She is another big cat (Rag Dolls often are), although not Tobie's size of course. But at one year old, she not noticeably smaller than any of the adult girls, who are all around 4kg - a good size for a female.
The most unbelievable thing about her is her resemblance to Tobie! She has his coat pattern almost exactly. She is a "grey scale" to his "sepia", and obviously a midget beside him, but she could easily be his daughter.

Re: Our Furbabies
Parting is such sweet sorrow,
And this one really is. A treasured opportunity to give my Jackie a life in tranquility that she never could have with me.
My sister's 20+ cat died recently, a sad though expected event for all who knew her. She kept Jane on the straight and narrow by providing a charming companionship with responsibility. She was the reason for not staying out late, and a reason to get up each morning.
So now Jane needs a beautiful, affectionate, well-mannered baby to help her through the loss. And that's where my Jackie comes in.
You may remember her as that cat Justie should never have kept. She is an adorable affectionate beauty, she just never adapted to a multi-cat household. So I was caught trying to make her comfortable inside because she was made so upset with being surrounded by other cats.
So now, I have found a match made in heaven. I definitely believe these two too fragile beings will live in complete accord.
So yes, I am sad to part with her. Heartbroken. She, in all honesty, was my special one, taking up far much more time and energy than the others, but I know I am doing something special for two 'people' I love.
And, although 400km away I will still get to visit every now and then, when I go see so my stomache surgeon. (a topic on a different thread)
(Why is it that every time I figure out how to get images on here, I forget the next time? Anyway, she's a grown-up version of the grey-haired beauty)

Thanks luv!
All went well, and I am fine. But am sleeping around the clock, more when I eventually wake up.
