4 out of the last 5 hatchlings were male! Yeah right

All I got is bloody men!! And they all seem to prefer hanging out at the local beach to growing up, taking on new responsibilities! Old Days

They're bloody unnatural. They are not even in any rush to mate!!!! Dunno

Abandoned vamp hatchling?... don't think so, plenty of eggs. If I'd seen one, I'd have grabbed for it...

were black, males, riveting green eyes,
excellent condition,
probably like to preen themselves all day.

I also will need to build up some numbers in the black, grey, white, red ranks Riddick. Can't have kingdoms and clans and roving knights without some security!

I have put together the outlines of 4 separate "political entities" so far. Each of my dragons becomes a part of one or more, and gets an individual description to replace the standard one for each dragon. typingcat

I am even researching for them. My White, for example, is a Druidic healer, so looked up names. Cainte Slane is the combination of one of the gods of healing and the well he is said to have blessed.

In the naming tradition of the White's social group, he has named himself after the role he wishes to play in life - the instrument of healing... Sunny

By the way, Riddick, there are rumours in the cave that a solitary vamp is predating on the local citizens, but no one can catch him. He is believed to be a spy for an evil overlord that is amassing a vamp army in secret. EEK!
