Had to stay in synch, lol, so changed my avatar to reflect the season.

My current avy is Isis, who passed away a few years ago.

Isis was the queen of the house (Mom & Dad's,) and such personality!  Intelligent, bossy, and FUN!

Mine is Sherlock and Watson from the BBC version of Sherlock. It is amazing!

You all reminded me it is time to feature another 2 of my cats. This is Ninja (black shorthaired Persian, female, 2yrs) and Topaz (brown marbled Bengal, male, 2years).

Both are pedigrees and yet both were rescue cats because the breeder didn't sell them when they were young enough to make her some $$$ and when she got sick, no one wanted them because they were 'too old'!! (They were less than a year then)

Wow, a bengal!  I've heard they're really a handful, but BOY are they gorgeous!  They're both gorgeous, by the way!  At the Friends of Felines place I mentioned before, they have signs up all over the place encouraging people to give black cats a chance, because they're so often overlooked for the more "interesting" cats.

Esme, I've always loved your avatar, but I've yet to see the show!

I'll show other photos of these two from time to time, because, yes, they are both unbelievably gorgeous cats. I feel such a privilege to spoil them rotten.

It's hard for photos to show it, but both of them have amazing glossy coats. That and her huge golden eyes really make Ninja far from ordinary. I've always had a soft spot for black cats myself anyway, all that bad propaganda about witches and bad luck (or good luck depending on the myth).

I just noticed yesterday, when outside with my beautiful bengal that his eyes change in the sun (never got to see him outside before) - they are so light they are almost white! An ice blue I have never seen in a cat before, but which I saw, once, on a bull mastiff! Anyway, it's sensational, particularly with the glimmer (silver/gold glow) his coat gets in the sun. And he's a very ho hum bengal - wouldn't cut it in a show!! They are unbelievable cats.
