Hidden Object games
I love playing good hidden object games. I am particularly a fan of Dream Day series. I have played all parts. I was wondering if someone can suggest more games like the dream day. Not necessary as a wedding theme but of equal quality in gameplay, graphics, puzzles etc. like Dinertown Detective Agency.

Re: Hidden Object games
GGG was originally aimed at casual gaming, so any "oldtimer" here knows the reference. I myself enjoy the Dream Day series, especially True Love and Bella Italia.
The Dream Day games are aimed more at hidden objects than at adventuring. Have you tried the Big City Adventure games? I assume that you're familiar with Big Fish - you can try almost every game there for an hour to see if you like it before you purchase. (Be sure to wait for a BOGO sale, and use Ebates for cash back, too!)

Re: Hidden Object games
I have played a few from bigfish - House of thousand doors, the wolf one, wax city etc. but somehow I didn't get as much satisfaction with the gameplay and graphics. and all the games they have is of similar style so I didn't play any other. I was hoping if there were games of dream day standard.
I have looked up the big city adventure and I think it looks promising. Thanks for the suggestion.

Yes I like the look of season mystery. I will soon play the big city game and then I will get back to you.
Thank you so much for help! I appreciate it. I had been looking for good hidden object games for so long. I have played the Dream Day series multiple times.
Have you played Dinertown Detective agency? I love it.

I actually haven't played that one yet. It features Flo from the Diner Dash games, right?

Re: Hidden Object games
Whichever one you'd like to "visit". The BCA games are pretty much cookie cutter games, with the same format/puzzles in each, just different locations. Remember that if you're getting them at Big Fish, you can demo them for an hour each to see which you like best.

Re: Hidden Object games
Ok so I bought the cherry blossom murders. Played it. It was a good game and the graphics and design were very high quality However the gameplay felt a bit dull. I wanted it to be more engaging and longer.
I think theres no hog game that can beat dream day series. Its like perfect. Dinertown agency is great too.

Re: Hidden Object games
I played the Cherry Blossom Murders as well, it definitely could have been better. The graphics were the best for sure, I agree. A little more store and tougher HOG scenes would have made it a lot better.

I just acquired Grim Legends 1-3 and am hoping they are good. Crossing my fingers for some challenging HOG scenes.

If you're looking for hidden object games that are more challenging, I can certainly help with that! The ones I've mentioned in this thread have all been light-interaction.

Re: Hidden Object games
OK, this will be fun Are you familiar with the bundle sites? Hidden object games get bundled on a semi-frequent basis, and while some are stinkers, there are some awesome deals to be had! I'll start posting them here again so that you don't miss out.
Here's a good place to start: https://www.fanatical.com/en/bundle/dollar-mystic-bundle
(Fanatical is the new name for BundleStars)
Dreamscapes (from above bundle) is one of my favorite "adventure-lite"s There are no hidden object scenes, per se, but there are plenty of hidden things to find, so even that one game is worth your dollar.
This one only lasts for another 3 days:
https://www.indiegala.com/artifex-mundi-8
I'd go for the $4.99 tier if I were you... as a matter of fact, I DID go for the $4.99 tier! I already had some of the games, but duplicate keys can be given away (or traded, or whatever your preference may be.)
I only post deals for bundle sites that I trust and use myself, so you're safe with these (I've never had any problems with the sites I use.)
I'll post further deals in the Sales, Special Offers and Other Portal News section.

Re: Hidden Object games
I'm ready to give you some more~!
The Mystery Case Files games are all good, although Huntsville, Prime Suspects, and Ravenhearst are "straight" HOGs, meaning no interaction. Return to Ravenhearst was the first Interactive Hidden Object game, and although there is a ton of backtracking (and the hint button takes forever to load), it is still one of the most challenging and interesting IHOG's you'll find.
Only going to link one of these (you'll find links to all of the others in the first post):
Mystery Case Files 3: Ravenhearst (HOG)
https://genkisgamegab.forumotion.com/t199-mystery-case-files-3-ravenhearst-straight-hog#465
(Sets the scene for Return to Ravenhearst, but is not necessary to play first)
Mystery Case Files 6: Dire Grove (IHOG)
https://genkisgamegab.forumotion.com/t196-mystery-case-files-6-dire-grove-ihog-adventure#464 (a personal favorite from the series, and while not available on Steam, it IS available on Wildtangent!)
Nearwood (Adventure-lite w/some HOS)
Nevertales: The Beauty Within (IHOG)
Sable Maze 1: Sullivan River CE (IHOG)
https://genkisgamegab.forumotion.com/t1115-sable-maze-sullivan-river#2971
Shiver 1: Vanishing Hitchhiker (IHOG)
Stray Souls 1: Dollhouse Story (IHOG)
https://genkisgamegab.forumotion.com/t513-stray-souls-dollhouse-story#1963
Stray Souls 2: Stolen Memories CE (IHOG)

Twisted Lands 1: Shadow Town (Adventure/IHOG)
https://genkisgamegab.forumotion.com/t271-twisted-lands-1-shadow-town#408 (This is a love-it or hate-it series, which as sold as a trilogy on Steam. I personally loved the series!)
