"Untitled"
by Libby Allen
Sounds that flow
Through the air
Nevermore shall I go there
Water swirling
Dark and slow
The air holds the presence
Of something foul
On the night of the crescent moon
The darkness holds the key
To a treasure so great
It exceeds even
The imagination
Of thee
Best Unrhymed Poem (10-12 years)

I cut this poem out of a newspaper many years ago, and finally decided to immortalize it here. I love the imagery it brings to mind, and the fact that it was written by a child just makes it all the more poignant!
