Re: Here There Be Dragons!
I think I grabbed hatched and released about 20 eggs today! Particularly proud of the short term sunset egg! Rewrote the instructions to reflect my experience of the actual doing it twice in a row now.

Re: Here There Be Dragons!
Nah! I'm just hangin around a bit... was thinking, o mentioned the DDay anniversary and it got me thinking (army brat, so I notice this stuff more than most here)..
For over a century, Australia has held the dubious honour of being the only nation to participate in every significant international conflict... Brits refused a couple of yours, you refused a couple of theirs - we went to support you guys both whenever asked... and the UN forces of course...
Little known fact about Australia. Like our sportstars, movie makers and inventers, our soldiers are so small in number and yet in so high in quality!
Okay, patriotic moment over...

Re: Here There Be Dragons!
The US has been involved in every UN war,
whether covertly or openly, we are always there.
We have always supported Britain and every free world nation.
And if we hadn't been involved in WWII
the rest of the world would be speaking German and Japanese.
Don't know why you brought it up,
it's probably that "everybody hates the US until they need
us thing"
You can't compare Australia or any country to the US,
because there is no comparison.

regarding the US' involvement in wars,
we wrote the book, we walked the walk,
we have the cemeteries filled with soldiers to prove it.
You have no idea what it is to be an American.
Pity.

Re: Here There Be Dragons!
You misinterpret me completely Riddick! I was not attempting to compare you to us at all! But to the other smaller nations of the world and the fact of our fervour for the same things as your nation and commitment to support you or anyone else in the "right fights"
Please do not think for one minute there was ANYTHING uncomplementary to be implied by what I said!!
Crikey, mate!! I hate to hurt you, just have no idea how I did?

true..
I have no idea why you chose to bring this up
in a thread that has nothing to do with patriotism
or nationality or war,
I can only imagine that it was to make me feel
uncomfortable or to start an argument.
It was really rude and your facts are wrong.
I'm a very proud American, a very proud former Marine,
a very proud Military Contractor.
In case you think you've made me angry,
you have my pity,
and I will keep you in my prayers.
Take care.

Re: Here There Be Dragons!
Actually it was in part in support of who and what you are that I mentioned it - figured if it mattered to E, you probably had feelings on the subject too.
I was trying to do the 'solidarity' bit. Make you feel more comfortable not less. Trying to explain similar feelings of national pride from a little guy's perspective - because in this I think we have something in common.
Your reaction suggests there is something else going on with you that has nothing to do with my innocent remarks. Please don't paint me with the same brush as the America bashers, and please back off. I am feeling intimidated by a guy I thought liked me and should have known enough of me by now to know I'd not do what you accuse me of!
