How to Post Images on the Forum

Post by genkicoll on Mon Jan 23, 2012 8:02 pm

Posting images using Flickr, this post
    Using Imageshack.us, next post.

If you have a yahoo account, you have a Flickr account. It's easy enough to sign up for, either way.

After you upload images to Flickr, click on the image you want to post until you see an option to view it full sized. Do so, and once you do, you will be able to get the image properties - just right-click on the image and choose "Copy Image Location".

Once you have the location copied, come here to the forum, click on the little picture above where you're posting that looks like a polaroid (to the left of the link icon), paste the information, and click OK.

    Done~!

    Benefits of Flickr:

    • Access your images at any time - just bookmark your page
    • Upload multiple images at once
    • Ability to sort images to categories to keep things tidy

To add images via ImageShack, do the following:

Go to ImageShack and upload files - very easy, just do what it says.

Once you've loaded your image(s), click on the image to make it full-sized, then copy the image properties - If you don't see a link, just right-click on the image and choose "Copy Image
    Location".

Once you have the location copied, come here to the
forum, click on the little picture above where you're posting that looks
like a polaroid (to the left of the link icon), paste the information,
    and click OK.

    Done~!

    Benefits of Imageshack:

    • Ability to upload multiple images at once, and get all of the image properties at once (there will be a list with links to all of the images
    • Quick and easy, and no need for an account

There are other free image-hosting websites, these are just the two I know off the top of my head Big Smile
