I bought Black Mirror II for next to nothing when it was on sale at GamersGate, and it's DRM-free!  EDIT:  It's $2.02 HERE.

... of course, I don't have Black Mirror I, yet Hmm...  Laugh

The Sims 2 is FREE on Origin.  Just go here https://account.origin.com/cp-ui/redemption/index
    and use the code I-LOVE-THE-SIMS

If anyone decides to get The Sims 2 from Origin, there is no need for the hyphens in the code. I just checked it out and that's what people were posting. So I tried ILOVETHESIMS as the code and it worked.

I redeemed the code okay, but now I don't know how to download it. I haven't got Origin's downloader on my pc. I guess I'll have to figure that out first? Cuz I haven't got any other download instructions and I am feeling particularly stupid today

Just, you need their downloader/app to download the game. I downloaded it but like a lot of others, it won't play. I'm hoping they find out what is happening. Changing the compatibility doesn't do anything.

Dayam!  It must be a regional thing, 'cause it's still $2.02 here in the US!

I just had to share with you guys!

Today Hubs and I took a small day trip the Mansfield Reformatory, which is where the film The Shawshank Redemption was filmed. It's this creepy old prison that is open now for tours and visitors. It is rusty, musty, peeling and some say haunted.  EEK!

About an hour and a half into the tour, I looked at my husband and said, "You know what, hon? I feel like I am walking around and living in one of the games I play! I should be looking fro junkpiles and sparkles!" It was too funny and I tell you what, if a developer ever based a game on Mansfield, I would totally buy it............. and play it in the daylight! LOL

lol, Esme! Sounds scary & fun at the same time! I would definitely buy the game, too!  Laugh

I have finished a total of 2 games in the last 2 weeks. The first one was DP: The Ballad of Rapunzel which I thought was a very good game (as usual from these devs). It took me over a week because I just couldn't see the fragments & refused to ask for a hint. My only gripe would be...I wished there was more of a variety of puzzles.

The second game was The Other Side: Tower of Souls. I loved this game! Okay, so the storyline proceeded to go "way out there" but I must commend the devs on the gameplay and our "sidekick." Normally, I'm not such a fan of furry sidekicks, but this one was a hoot!!
Esme, I highly recommend you playing it. You'll definitely get a laugh or two.  Smile

dj---I felt the same way about the new HE.    I really enjoyed it,  but the HO's were
a PITA!!   I was upset when I had to use a hint at one point.    The object had something
to do with time passing.   I desperately clicked onto  an  hourglass,  then anything else.
The object the hint pointed me to looked like a ceramic green apple shaped cookie
holder!!  (That particular HO was in the kitchen.   I remember because I was in there
    for a very long time!!)
I finished the demo of  Beyond the Unknown.   Definite buy for me,  just need something
    to pair it with.
Also,   Dead Reckoning is very good.   Old fashioned Film Noir game and figuring out who
the guilty party is.     They are all guilty of something.  For Instance:  That maid who definitely would fit in to Devious Maids TV Show.
If you haven't tried it,  I would highly recommend checking it out.

genki---I will let you know......hopefully I will play it within this year... Belly laugh

Oh gosh, luvtoread, I don't like it when HO scenes are a PITA. I have the new HE & I think I'm going to play it next.
    I also have Dead Reckoning.

I tried Lost Legends today, but I just couldn't get into playing it. I'll probably change my mind later on and end up getting it. Right now, I need 1 more game for a completed PC & I'll look for one Monday. Hope I can find one.  OH!

I think I beta tested Beyond the Unknown. It was a different title then, maybe The Golden something. I remember I did enjoy it.

DJ, this place is in Ohio. You should check it out! Hubs and I drove down from Detroit and thought it was really interesting!

Along with Shawshank, the movies Air Force One and Tango and Cash also filmed some stuff there. They also do ghost tours at night and have a Halloween Ghosty Thingy too.  Ghost

Did you have to dig around to find the keys  while the tour guide just stood around?   Laugh

I have seen those movies   (Tango and Cash a few times....I have a thing for the
    Italian Stallion... Wub ).

Your first picture....do they have arms reach out and grab you during the ghost tours?   EEK!

How long did it take for you to drive down there?
