I don't reckon I've ever received a complimentary code from BF and if I have, I'd forgotten about it.

Thanks for posting this, Butterfly! I hope all goes well with your surgery and when you can, stop by here and have a little chat. I've missed talking to you, too!  Hug

Yay, a sale!!  Happy bounce I'm headed over to BFG now.

I've been reading about all the spam at BFG. Someone had posted it's pretty bad in the "A" section of the Game Forums.
Oh my gosh, it's horrible. Nothing but pages of spam in the first 2 game's forums.

I remember a time when the Mods kept the forums clean.

Hi,  Butterflyshrimp.     Big smile         Sorry for so much surgery going on in your life.
That does have the tendency to interfere with game playing.
I do hope things get better for you soon and we see you here more often

dj---I haven't seen the spam,  but then I don't hang out except for the forum in the game
I am playing.   Curious as to how spam is in the A section?   Will have to check it out.
What game are you going to break down and buy?
I like the Rite of Passage:  Hide and Seek  game

Sooo......I am playing the new Awakened:   Pretty red leaves in the forest.     I really am
    liking it, but.....

There is always something in these games that is just ridiculous.     This Dwarf Prince who
is really a  good guy got hurt.    I took him back to the Centurions for help.....and the
healer,  of course,  needs me to make the soup and then go get the cure.

Except......I have to clean and fix up that dump of a tree house before I can get the cure.

     faceplant

    Oh well.

I never, ever go there anymore unless I see here that there is a sale.

I think they screwed the pooch with getting rid of the forums since I can't be the only one that has stopped going to their website on a daily basis. It's curbed my impulse game shopping too.

I still stop in at BFG every day to see what the new game is. It's a habit.  Rolling Eyes

lol, why do devs insist on us cleaning & foraging & cooking?  Meh Don't we do enough of that in RL?! Cleaning the house, going to the grocery store, cooking dinner, same thing isn't it?

luvtoread, I got Rite of Passage: Hide and Seek. I was going to demo the Dreampath game, but I saw the word "kingdom and pet/s" in the description....
I guess I'll demo, even though I'm not very enthusiastic now.

Thanks, JustTheFacts! Oh wow, YOU may get fed up with the cat? Well I know if you may, I certainly would!  Laugh

I just finished The Others & it was a nice game! From a developer I've never heard of, Paprikari. If this is their first game, they did a good job.
Great graphics, the music was okay though in some spots it was not fitting to the scene. Maybe only a few voice-actors working as I recognized the same voice, over & over again.
The hidden object scenes included 3 choices for the highlighted items, which I thought was pretty neat.
    The puzzles were great!
Too bad it wasn't wide-screen for me, but it had an interesting storyline.

Oh yes, I almost forgot, no bling in this game at all.

Yes, that's the one, Esme, cause I just partially demo'd it & bought it.

What can I say, I'm a sucker for a good-lookin' game!  Silly face

LOL It's waiting to be downloaded here. My only justification is that my mother plays these games too and she likes them cute.

    Yeah.

That's why. It's not because I have a game addiction at all! LOL

Actually, it is a female centaur. From my Xena, Warrior Princess days, I thought
there were only MALE centaurs. Just the way it was. Naughty me, I imagined
a human female and a Centaur mating.... Snicker   OH!

I saw something about pets and buying stuff or something or the other for the new game.
Not in a rush to play, though I do have it dl/d.

dj--Paprikari (which I have the tendency to think of them as paprika-the spice) are also
the makers of the Mortimer Beckett games. Not sure what else.

esme---don't hurl----just do your ranting thing!

That's right--not an addiction. A wonderful way to spend the day, especially when the
    weather is not that great.
Step out of the house, and you'll land up spending money that could be spent on another
    game!!  OH!
    We cannot have that!!!!

Yup----these games just do whatever they want!!

I am watching "My Cat From Hell" Do any of you remember Lux, the cat that the
family called 911 because he scratched their 7 month old son and they were locked
    in a room?

Well, he was sent to a foster home, just to see if another home would make a
difference. He was o.k. for awhile, then about the 3rd day or so, he turned on the
    foster mom.
Surprisingly, the original owners, really love Lux and really want to find a way to
bring him back. Medication is being considered at this point.
Jackson has been trying to get Teresa (the female owner) to rehome Lux.
She's had him for years, but she knows that he cannot be around her son.

Lux really is like a Jeckyll and Hyde.

Mmm, I know I'm biased but I'm not demo'ing Dreampath at all. Really don't like the look of that kitty-cat.  Yeah right

I hear ya, Rmom.... I'm a little bit sick of CUTESY!

I started to play one a few weeks ago and there was a gigantic spastic rabbit weary fancy clothing in the first minute... closed that sucker out as fast as I could.  Overreaction

LOVE the rabbit game!!! Well, the rabbit anyway, haven't played the game lol

This cat, esme and RMom, DEFINITELY too much for you guys! Talking cats, my favourite fantasy, right? This one tries my patience. But I suspect my RL ones might if they could talk too!

But yeah, I am so over cutesy too and I usuallylove it!! OH!

I heave a sigh of relief every time I see an Eipix game, because they don't do cute so much as adventure and what do you know? Now they do cute too!  Embarrassed

What game is it that has the fancy clothed rabbit in it? I don't think I tried that one.

Yes, I agree. The devs need to stop with the cute animals already. When we had to start buying stuff & dressing them up and naming them, that's going overboard with the cuteness.
I hope I don't have to buy things for the cat in Dreampath.

I love Eipix! When they partnered up with BFG & The Smithsonian to create the new Hidden Expedition game, I didn't know what to expect.
Turns out, it's one of the best games I've ever had the pleasure of playing!

I rate it as my all-time favourite too dj. They were brilliant in it. Sadly, the other betas since then aren't as spectacularly wonderful. But it's Eipix! They're all great. I haven't played it yet, but I bet even Fiends and Fairies is good! Even with, well, Fiends and Fairies!

The 2nd Hidden Expedition they're doing is good. Just not as exciting as the first.

The rabbit game... is... ERS I know... um, released a few weeks ago I think... has dragons? Is it this weekend's game, no... I can't remember!! But I loved the rabbit - was the Mad Hatter! That's how I saw her at first anyway, and later she was really quite charming and funny. You can get away with a lot with me if you're funny.
