    Emotional Games - survey Empty Emotional Games - survey

    Post by vervaine Sat May 10, 2014 11:09 am

    A friend of mine is writing a Master's thesis on emotional games Smile She's currently gathering answers to several short questions about people who play those games, are interested in them, or have played them by accident.
    There are two open questions, but short answers are fine.

    I remember she was looking for people aged 30 and younger, but the survey has an option for 30+.

    If you have time... could you please take the survey? Smile It shouldn't take more than 5 minutes.

    Btw if you know anyone under 30 or MALE (!) could you pass the link along? :D For some reason (?) it's hard to find men who play emotional games. :p

    Sorry if topics like this are not allowed ^^;

    Of course it's allowed -- this is a gaming site, and besides that, it's a place for friends to gather Wink

    I'll do the survey when I can (busy busy today!) and if you like, I'll also post the survey info over on the GOG forum, where there are PLENTY of males who play emotional games Elk grin

    I did your survey, but I'm over 30, so I don't know if my answers count?   Smile

    Oh YES please! I didn't think of that! I was completely stumped as to where you can find males playing games that can be associated with emotions. (Or, for the record, any males who play games other than CoD, FIFA, Civ or LoL - out of all my friends, it seems only females play games with significant plot. XD)

    Frodo, I bet it counts Smile I know my friend wanted to focus on younger people, but there's an age option, and the worst that could happen would be that she puts less emphasis on 30+ crowd. We couldn't find ANY gamers from the youngest group (16-20) who would play emotional or story-heavy games. All the ones we know play exclusively Minecraft or League of Legends, or mobile. Sadly I'm not joking. :/

    So yeah, if anyone has access to emotional-games player of any age, please feed them the survey :D Friend will be very grateful. ^^

    Yep! Thank you so much! :D

    There's really no risk of overlap here; my friend is more into mainstream games, she won't be posting on adventure / indie / point and click sites. And I'm spreading the survey only here, on Diving Bell Pub, and via email. Smile

    Cool project! I filled out the questionnaire, though I'm much older than the target age range.
