Oh Boy! Are You A Master Griddler? ****

    BASED ON DEMO

Well, you’ll need to be to play this game, and you can skip all those boring easy grids for the Pictograms For Dummies. You know, the ones that I play  Snicker  The second grid in the 1st level is 15x20! I had to replay it 3 times to beat it. And the next grid I am still working on!

The game is identical to the first in this series, except for vastly improved graphics – well, for me anyway. I prefer the art style on this one. But the quality is better too. The music is much better too. More of an Asian meditation feel to it, and more variety.

You do still get all the other features that make the game easier. The hint gives you a single used tile, and you can increase hints automatically as you progress. Likewise, you can uncover the ‘pickaxe’, which shows you a single empty space. It becomes available as you play. And finally, you are allowed an initial two mistakes, but quickly earn more as you clear the grid.

And I continue to enjoy the different tiles on different grids, and the fact that the pictures you have made are recognisable.

This time, the garden is one of the soul, and is in our mind. So far, it has a sad looking tree. Since I can’t yet finish Level 1, I can’t give you any ideas about the improvements.  Embarrassed
I love the way this game just kinda assumes you have completed  the first game and continues on from there, and with the GameHouse 50% sale, I am tempted to buy this. But  heavens! I may NEVER be able to complete the first one!

Still, I certainly recommend this game!

But are there any dragons in it...?   Crazy

Just kidding.  I love these types of games - I lap them all up.  So I HAD to buy this one.   Big smile

Good luck playing it! Hope you are better than I am. But I only play them at like 4am when I'm too tired to do anything in particular and so stare dazedly at the grids telling myself I should go to bed. Bought Asian Riddles just yesterday, and it has a sequel too, and I don't the last two in either World Mosaics or World Riddles. So, plenty of options for me, these two will join my wishlist, but not essentials.

But the very best of these games has got to be World Mosaics Chrome, with their dual colour system. A truly different experience from regular mosaics whilst still well within the style. Wish they'd bring out a pc version!

You can get World Mosaics Chroma at BFG, but it's released as one of those only-play-for-a-short-time-before-having-to-pay-or-waiting-many-hours games.   Shock

Me too! I usually last about 30-45 mins on the damn thing and that just isn't long enough to steady my hand, or train my eye, or work up enough speed to progress. I've been repeating previous grids to get a bit more time in, but that gets tedious.

Particularly if you are trying to get an expert (3 star) rating. Because, can do the no hints no mistakes, but the scores you have to reach are ridiculous! Some are set 100 000, and I'm averaging 38 000!!! With no mistakes, no distractions, a well played grid. So don't ask me what I'm doing wrong, but I bet it has something to do with $$$. Like, can only reach that if you buy the special power ups or something. Whole thing stinks.

That's why I hate those con-games.  They're designed to get your money, time and time and time again, and not let you enjoy the game.   Suspect

On Level 8 with Fantasy Mosaics 2 though, all with gold medals.  LOVE it!  The backgrounds are so beauitiful to look at, and I like the garden.  I have a moose and a female moose.   Big smile

Yeah, big fish are getting really sneaky. Obviously the new ownership includes Gordon Gecko!

I know I should start another thread, but seeing we're here...  SOS!

How do I get a screenshot of a game. I know I have the PrtScn button. What do I press with it? Ctrl?

And more importantly, what must I do next to find the image?

I know, how could I be a nerd and still not know - but I don't! Very specialist knowledge, no general, *sigh*

I figure its the only way I'm ever gonna get M.Dupin on my desktop  Whistle

Hit the PrtScn button all by itself when you see the image you want to capture.  That copies the screen to your clipboard.  You have to go into an art program and paste the image to "find" it.  Here are some better instructions:

I can't find an art program. Surely I should have one as part of windows, right? Like paint? Something like that? I used to do arty stuff all the time.

I have gimp but can't make it open. Lightroom which won't let me do anything. Ditto adobe. Windows Live Photo Gallery won't let me create anything new either!!!

Read the tutorial in post #3, that will be more helpful than the one I wrote.  I have Win XP on this computer, but here's how I find Paint here:

    Click your Start button
Hover your mouse over All Programs, then hover over Accessories.
You'll see Paint as one of the icons -- click on that Big smile

In the 'Search Programmes and Files' box, type in PAINT
It should show up in the wee popup box, so just click on it.   Smile

I can't believe it! I'd given up, hadn't I and had decided Paint was absolutely not there - I looked everywhere.

But our glowing flower of motherhood took the time to write me a suggestion, and even though I'd tried it (twice), I thought I'll give it one last chance before I reply.

The bloody thing was no doubt sitting there all the time, laughing at me, because I found it at the very top of my not-so-little pop-up thingy!

So thank you, frodo, you really are a magical mum! Now if you could just magic me up some late night chocolates, it'd be much appreciated  Big smile
