Hmmm...well, in my experience with some of the games at BFG, I've had a floating & a draggy cursor. I've also had very slow scene transitions.
So, IMO, it probably is a design flaw. But, if other people aren't having issues, I usually chalk it up to my picky computer.  Big smile

Don't worry, I feel perfectly safe with that one lol. That sci-fi, well, that's a different story. I changed my mind about it a half a dozen times and am still not sure if I like it or hate it! Which, seeing I've finished the demo, means I'll have to buy it to find out...

    Another for the wishlist!

I LOVE it so far, so you can stop quaking   Hug

I thought that picture with the Alice doll on strings looked familiar, then when I started playing, I realised I had done the beta several months ago.  But they changed the story a bit.

EDIT:  Yep, just checked my Beta folder.  Did the Mind Snare's beta on 27 June 2013.   Okay

Oh good, Frodo, I thought you would like it!

Am trialling Emberwing, in between 1. refereeing an argument between some friends, 2. discussing how to create a forum 3. chasing my cats back inside, as they escaped out the front and it is very scary out there! 4. trying to sneak in a little dinner (it's now 1am and still not done)

Cats are back. Little sods! But one of them got a real fright out there - came back panting and mewling. Not hurt though, and back to normal within a few minutes. Thank goodness.

Thanks for the take-away, needed that  ThanksMeal

Oh, I'm glad to hear the kitties are back! That would be freaking me out.  OH!

I'm just popping in to say hello. I've been busy again IRL, but we had a snow day today, so I'm playing Indiana Jack and the Raiders of the Sky Kingdom Beanstalk... or whatever the latest Dark Parables one is called.

It's a trifle cheesy, but I don't care. Dark Parables could release Pong and I'd love it. Their games are so gorgeous!

I hope you are al having a fantastic day, even if you got another six to ten inches of snow like I did. Will this winter ever end???  Buried-in-snow

Here's a very different Dark & Eerie game for you.

    Reperfection

Ben Freeman lives with his wife Sarah and their son Danny in a small house in the suburbs. They are a happy family – until the day Sarah loses her life in a car accident. Due to the loss of his wife Ben’s life goes to pieces, but he discovers a so far unknown ability that allows him to revert Sarah’s death, jumping to the time Sarah wanted to leave the house and driving into that terrible accident. But the price for saving his beloved is higher than he could imagine…

I love the style of this - it's like a graphic novel.  Very emotional, when you have to make certain choices.

This is only Volume 1, so the story isn't complete.  But still, it's well worth getting.   Heart

    Hi, Genki and everyone!!!
I've downloaded Mind Snares; and I did bite on the "Midnight Castle" thing.  Haven't tried playing it though.  BFG's "play-free-except-for-what-you-have-to-spend" games drive me bonkers.  I haven't yet figured out if you can play them without buying the extra stuff so you can play your "free" game.
Has anyone else bitten the bait yet?

Jeannie!  Yay~!  Mention the gal and she shows up, must do that more! Laugh

The F2P's at Big Fish are ones you DON'T have to spend money on to finish (which my family non-affectionately calls Play-to-Wins)... you only have to spend money if you want to speed things up.  I've been playing My Singing Monsters since it came out, and have spent not one cent.  If you have no patience, I recommend NOT trying the F2P's.  If you don't mind playing for a bit, then coming back to it later, then repeat, they're absolutely fine!

By the way, I was too ill to do any work last night, so I started The Walking Dead.  So. Damned. GOOD! Dark & Eerie Games Thread - Page 23 Tuzki-bunny-emoticon-001<--Crying because I don't know when I can play more!  Dark & Eerie Games Thread - Page 23 Tuzki-bunny-emoticon-006

I had a chance to demo the new Dark Dimensions and hopefully, BF has another sale this weekend!

I actually thought I was doing pretty good, catching up on my games. I had it down to 2 rows of icons on my desktop. I noticed it's back up to almost 4.
I don't know how that's possible. Isn't there a thread around here about how to stop buying so many games?
I think I need a game intervention.  OH!

Hey there, jeanniemouse! It's good to see you!!

No, I haven't played any of the FtP games at BF. Honestly, I didn't even notice the sale the other day (if we played the trial of a game, we got so much off of our purchases) until Genki pointed it out.
I didn't buy anything that day, but I might've used some PCCs.

The Walking Dead game is based on the comic book, not the show (which I DO want to see, just haven't gotten around to it, yet Silly face  )  I'm playing on PC.

EDIT:  Is anyone brave enough to choose the "Pot of Gold" at GOG?  You could get something amazing, or you could get something you don't care about!  It's a bundle sale, and you can choose five games... or a mixture of games and the Pot of Gold (or five blind picks! OH!  )  It's only $2 for the surprise game(s), but still... Laugh
    http://www.gog.com/luckoftheirish

EDIT #2:  There's a list of games for the Pot of Gold and a discussion about what people are getting HERE.  A couple of games from my wishlist are there, most notably, Memoria! EEK!

    Here's the list:
    Aarklash Legacy
    Alien Shooter
    Alien Shooter 2
    Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs
    Aqua Kitty: Milk Mine Defender
    Avernum: The Complete Saga
    Cognition: An Erica Reed Thriller
    Deadly Premonition
    Deponia 3 Goodbye Deponia
    Duke Nukem 3D Atomic Edition
    Geneforge 1-5
Giana Sisters: Rise of the Owlverlord
I Have No Mouth And I Must Scream
    Ittle Dew
    Memoria

    EDIT #3:
    You can "reroll" your picks.

    On firefox:
    - pick games
    - click checkout now
    - Ctrl-U (View Page Source)
    - Ctrl-G (search)
    - type "data-t"
    - scroll right to see first game title
    - repeat Ctrl-G + scroll right to see other 4 game titles

If you don't like the games, cancel and try again!

    For your gaming likes?

From the pick-your-bundle list, I'd say the Book of Unwritten Tales games and Lilly Looking Through

For the Pot of God picks, probably only Memoria, and if you want that one, you can get it on sale for under $8, anyway!

EDIT:  Oh, and maybe Penumbra and I Have No Mouth And I Must Scream.
