What Games Do You Plan to Play?

Many of us are guilty of game hoarding, and I know a lot of us want to get to some of those old, unplayed games.

My purchases for unplayed games range back to 2010, so I've queued up a variety of games that I want to work on:

Oh, dear... now I see just how many games I have yet to play! I didn't know it was this bad. I have a list showing all my games listed in different color text for if I have played them or not, or if I quit and uninstalled them for some reason. I narrowed it down to just the unplayed and shocked myself. I really, really can't afford this! I fall for all the sales! And to think I bought two games today. Well, one SE with a PCC, and one CE with credits (I did have to buy one of them). What I should do it quit even looking until Engimatis: The Mists of Ravenwood is released. That is one great game if the beta is any indication! I encourage you to play Enigmatis: The Ghosts of Maple Creek next, in preparation! What do you think I should play next?

Hidden Magic is good to play on and off -- I never did finish it.
The Awakening games are beautiful, but I have yet to play past the first one.
Hidden Mysteries: Vampire Secrets is an OK game -- I liked the adventure portion of it.
Mystery of the Ancients: Curse of the Black Water I reviewed, but was unable to finish because my computer died :(

I finished three from my list, the question is, which to start next? I'm thinking one of these:

The Stroke of Midnight
Enigmatis: The Ghosts of Maple Creek

Perhaps I'll go for Enigmatis, since you recommended it, Twins

I am playing Amulet of Time: Shadow of la Rochelleright now, one off my "old games" list.
Next I'll be playing Chimeras: Tune of Revenge.

I think I might play Dire Grove again. So many people are raving about it, and I thought it was only OK. Did I miss something? I didn't care for most of the MCF games (I did like The 13th Skull).
I have the MCF game that is for Wii, but Wii is just not the platform for that sort of game. Really hard to navigate and play.

Interesting, I have Amulet of Time: Shadow of la Rochelle, as well. How are you liking it?

Dire Grove is one of my top MCF games, for certain, but it was one of the early IHOG's, so there are a lot of hidden object scenes -- something people don't appreciate as much as they once did Here, take a look at my REVIEW, as that can explain my feelings on the game much better than a few sentences here

I really love to be immersed in a game, and RTR, Dire Grove, and EFR all did that for me... 13th Skull not as much, though it is good, as well. I do NOT like the trend of using footage of live people in games (which the MCF series seems determined to continue >_< ) Seeing those actors kind of startles me away from my immersion, as they seem out of place. Sometimes it really WORKS. I played one semi-recently that put the MCF series to shame, it was so well done, but sadly I can't remember which one it was! Chimeras? Brink of Consciousness 1? Darn it, I can't remember!

I was going to tell you how much I was enjoying Amulet of Time, but I started getting a message reading something about "Panic File..." If you read the thread on BFG about tech issues, you see it was a common problem, then there was supposed to be a fix and a new update, but I bought it in Feb. 2013 and it isn't fixed.
I will be asking for a refund.
Maybe your version will work, and if so, lucky you! It's a fun game. Very nice graphics and a lot to figure out on your own. One of those under appreciated games, if it works right that is.

Wow... I just watched the intro for Enigmatis: The Ghosts of Maple Creek, and experienced some major déjà vu! It took me a moment to place it, but it looks like almost the same intro as Echoes of Sorrow! That's as far as I've gotten, but I was surprised!

Twins, I hate to hear that you encountered a problem with Amulet! >_< Did you try uninstalling and reinstalling? Sometimes it works...

My list looks a lot like y'alls. I have really been concentrating on clearing my unplayed list. I finished 2 this week from 09 and 10. I finished Dire Grove last week finally and really struggled playing it due to the abundance of HO's. I am amazed at how much my game playing has changed. I actually only played 1/2 of several of my old unplayed games because I just could not do HO's for hours on end like I used to.

Ever since I added the Memoria thread, I've been thinking that I really need to install and play The Whispered World.  Then today I saw that Cheshire gave away a code for the game (at Challengers,) I knew I had to finally get that done!

So I've been looking through my boxed games, and what have I found?  Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 Platinum, Myst, Riven, I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream, A Vampyre Story, The Settlers: Rise of an Empire, Keepsake, NiBuru, the Syberia games, and more and more . . . yet no Whispered World, yet!


and so here I sit, going through my archive of boxed unplayed games, instead of playing one of the multitude of unplayed games I already have installed on my computer!  I don't know whether to say I'm a goof ball or brave!

. . . and here I go, back into the fray, to try to find the elusive box.  Where, oh where can it be? 

I'm playing Sable Maze 2 at the moment, and really not enjoying it at all.  I know it will get more interesting, but the beginning is feeling tedious to me for some reason.  Darn!  I don't want to start another game, lest I forget what I've done in this one, so maybe I'll zone off on a card game or M3 for a while...

I finally finished Sable Maze but it really was getting on my nerves!  I knew if I didn't finish it, I never would so I forced myself onward.  I did not play the bonus though...just couldn't take it anymore.  I am not sure if it was the game or me!  LOL

Didn't even demo this, as I did not enjoy the first Sable Maze. Hey, saves me time!

Of the ones you list here, I'd go for HH: Fears of Childhood. I loved it!

The only game I'm currently playing is the bonus in Sable Maze 2, having finished all the other games I had going, yay for that!

I'm not sure what game I'm going to load next, maybe either Forest Legends or the new Echoes of the Past.

Have only played the demo of Forest Legends. The Echoes Of The Past is the best yet of that series.

I'm sitting here figuring out which reviews to load next, so I'll load these two if you want?

I think I'm going to give up on Sable Maze, too.  I loved the first one, but this one just doesn't speak to me!

I may play Clockwork Tales or Apothecarium. I forgot I had those two games.

So a couple of years ago (fine, fine... a FEW years ago!), I got this lovely set of adventure games for Christmas.  The The Adventure Collection Volume 1 includes:

• Nibiru: Age of Secrets--unlock the secrets of an alien civilization linked to the ancient Mayans
  
• Keepsake--this epic quest will take you on a journey of enlightenment leading you to the gates of Dragonvale Academy
  
• Return to Mysterious Island--point-and-click adventure recreates an exciting mystery and dares you to solve it
  
• Secret Files: Tunguska--race against time to uncover a global conspiracy that will carry you to the far reaches of the world
  
• Dead Reefs--play an investigator sent by the King to discover the source of madness plaguing the island of Dead Reefs
  

I've been challenged to play NiBiRu, so I've finally installed it on my computer, and hope to start/make some progress on it this weekend~




My mom is going to be so happy to hear that I'm finally going to make use of her gift!

NiBuRu--that was a group play about a year (?) ago. So I would recommend that forum if you get stuck. Return to M. I. I played that a few years ago. I was new to Adventure
Gaming but stuck with it and glad I did. I believe there was a group play for that also.

So, at least you will have help. Also There is the Universal Hint System.

I have the Testament of Sherlock Holmes that I never played. Want to get to that next
month when I have time off. Would have loved to get it for my PS3 but never found it.

Have quite a few that needs to be played.

UHS is the best!!! DH and I are playing the Tales of Monkey Island games and as super fun as it is   it can be REALLY hard at times! I'll admit to checking for hints a few times, and with UHS they are real hints, as opposed to tell-all walkthroughs.

On my own I'm replaying the original Madame Fate - hopefully to the end this time.
I also just bought MCF Fate's Carnival and the new Dana Knightstone, thanks to the Black Friday sale. (The only way I'd buy CEs, lol.)
