    With Halloween upon us, please keep in mind, a lot of little people will be visiting your home. Be accepting.


    1. The child who is grabbing more than one piece of candy may have poor fine motor skills.
    2. The child who takes forever to pick out one piece of candy may have motor planning issues.
    3. The child who does not say "trick or treat" or "thank you" may be non-verbal.
    4. The child who looks disappointed when they see your bowl, might have an allergy.
    5. The child who isn't wearing a costume at all might have a sensory issue (SPD) or autism.

    Be nice. Be patient. Its everyone's Halloween.

    That's right, genki, and it's one of my favorite holidays.  I love to see the little kids, dressed up or not.  And the smaller, the better.

    I give out the large-size bars, so I usually have a lot of visitors, sometimes more than once a night, but I've gotten pretty good at winnowing them out, lol.  Usually teens around 9 p.m. or so; I close down at 9 p.m., that's it for me.
