    Genki's ZT1 Screens

For screens that are very small, click on thumbnails to see the full-sized pictures!

Here is a Savannah rest area. These 2 restaurants serve the entire zoo
(small map), and the guests are very happy. I made this zoo with NO
UCI's, and did not have CC at the time.
    Zoo stats are:
    Zoo Rating = 95
    Guest Happiness = 93
    Animal Happiness = 98

    118 animals in 13 exhibits
    354 guests ... over 100 benefactors!

    This was for a
    contest zoo in July, 2007

The Botu is a wonderous creature: Elegant blond woman in a blue gown on
land, dolphin in the aquatic state. This scene shows the botu in a
    forested church setting:

A waterfall flowing down through the forested landscape in the early
    Autumn.

We had a lot of fun over with our first Mystery Date contest in February
of last year (2006). My "date", njbums, and I were assigned a
Savannah/Desert theme. This is the entrance to the zoo:

And a viewing area for the Savannah mixed exhibit. The other exhibit
with the broken bust in it is African Wild dogs:

    Some candid animal shots:

Didn't know that Giraffes are into Pilates, did'ja?

Animal conversations Dr. Doolittle might hear:

Ever wonder what happens when a T-rex tramples a small bathroom? I only
made 2 adjustments to this picture: Made it bigger so you could really
see it and added the wording. hehe

There will be more mixed savannah exhibits later on, but we'll start
    with rainforest :D

Walking straight ahead into the zoo will bring you to the rest area,
where you can dine AND view animals every which way you look! Here in
our Exhibition Zoo entrance area, you will find Komodo Dragons and
Crocodiles on your left, and Caudiptyrex and Anteaters on your right.

At the time this picture was taken, guest happiness had just hit 95! If
you'll take a closer look, you'll see that guests are confined to ONLY
the entrance area, with the rest of the park blocked off with decorative
fencing. This method will garner you a TON of benefactors. I'll add
at least 3 exhibits on ONE SIDE of the entrance before I open that side
up for guests to peruse, then do the same for the other sides. Using
this method, I have one zoo with over 600 benefactors. You read that
    right - Six HUNDRED!!!

In 2005 there was a contest to create a city by the sea. These are two I
came up with - a coastal resort and a coastal town:

Here's another spin on the City by the Sea, another entry. I think I
got 2nd or 3rd place on this:

Another contest at about this time in 2004 was to create a Waffle Day (a
Swedish holiday) screenshot, showcasing Spring and the Waffle Stand.
It was my first contest here at Tek, and I managed to win that one

Yet another contest, this one a zoo which had to have a central court
for the guests to gather in. This zoo had official content only:

This was another contest zoo that had to be all marine animals, and it
was either a large or medium map (can't remember which). I chose to go
with an Atlantean/rainforest theme for it, and filled the whole map
    somehow :rolleyes

    From January, 2007:

In this new zoo I'll be using all user-created animals, as this zoo has a
volcanic theme. I've never used the lava path (despite having created
it :P), and that's what inspired this zoo. :D Instead of giving a
creative tour, I'll be rating the animals as I go.

Here by the entrance we have the Mythic Salamander (top exhibit) and the
    Lavagator (bottom exhibit):

I like the Mythic Salamander. It requires
solid gray stone, and lava pits, volcanoes and such are habitat neutral,
but it will not tolerate any foliage or rocks, and the highest
suitability I can get it is 81% - with the colorful ferns I put in, the
    suitability dropped to 80%.
Conversely, the Lavagator is one of my
favorite user-created animals ever! They're black gators at first
glance, but glow red around the edges in the water. Lovely exhibit that
needs brown and gray stone, dirt and salt water, as well as some
elevation. Guests absolutely love this animal (I'll get back to you on
the Mythic Salamanders, I forgot to look :P)

When I took this shot, what you see is all there is in the zoo, and
guest happiness had just hit 96%!

To the other side of the entrance you will find Volcanic Unicorns (on
the right) and Pyro Zebras (on the left). Both are programmed to have
volcanoes/tar pits in their exhibits with no effect on their happiness,
making for some interesting exhibits :D

They are programmed closely enough that they can go in a combined
exhibit, but I'm a stickler where exhibit suitability is concerned, so
these 2 exhibits are separated by an invisible fence. Both are crowd
pleasers and a lot of fun! Alternate view of the Volcanic Unis with a
    view of the entrance:

Next is the Dragon, or Flying Dragon from ZA. An uninspired shot as far
as photography goes, but you can see that even the babies breathe fire
    ;)

The highest I could get the suitability for these dragons is in the low
90's, always a point of contention for me, but the animals are happy,
which is always a plus. There's a glitch with this animal that shows
that the preferred foliage is the Baobob tree, when in reality they
prefer a highland exhibit with Himalayan Pine trees, etc.

A couple more shots for you :D These next 2 animals are available at
    ZA.

The Eurasian Wyvern is a fun animal, and very nicely done.

You can see the Wyverns in the background here, as well. In the
foreground are my favorite user-created dragon, Lehner's Red Dragon Wub At first glance this dragon seems a
bit strange, but it has a lovely exhibit (which in this case I tried to
make a bit more natural, which is why you can't see some of them
clearly) and is absolutely adorable. It's the only dragon I've seen
that both walks and flies, and it will suddenly plop onto its side and
curl up for a nap - so cute!

The Red Worg from Zoo Tek is a handsome creature with a haunting
wolf-song. They breed quickly (but not so quickly that you're
frantically selling to keep the exhibit from being crowded), and make an
    interesting exhibit:

Next I put in a savannah exhibit with zebras, gazelles, ostriches, water
buffalo and wildebeest, using the oasis to make the exhibit a bit more
interesting...and yes, you DO see a tar pit in the exhibit! A little
something extra for more interest, but it's separated from the actual
    exhibit with invisible fencing ;)

Here we have the Desert Tiger on the left and Kemp's Ripley Turtle (from
ZKL) on the right. The tiger has a wonderfully interesting exhibit as
you can see :D The turtle is a lovely dark bluish color, and THIS
turtle certainly doesn't poke around! This little guy is FAST!

Next are the Coral Snakes, also from ZKL. These little guys don't have a
slither or swim animation, but they do coil up (as snakes do) and are
certainly an interesting creature to exhibit for the guests. The
observation area for the snakes actually goes back behind the restaurant
and through the trees on a butterfly path:

The last exhibit in this zoo is the Lava Leopard. This colorful animal
needs a lot of elevation, and will only accept Himilayan Pine trees for
foliage. They actually don't like the fire in their exhibit, so the
fires are separated from the exhibit by invisible fencing:

The final shots of this zoo are the overviews:

Another contest! These are the screenshots I submitted for Brandi's
Botanical Garden contest from April, 2006:

And for a screenshot contest at ZTUF in July, 2006, the theme was Japan,
and had to feature at least one animal.

"Take a relaxing tour of the Japanese Gardens, where you
can sit by the tranquil pond, admire the Serow or visit the shrines."

Taking a step back in time, a zoo I did for Tek's Color Wheel of Fortune
contest. We had to pick a color, then Jan PM'd us our task for the
contest. I picked blue, and my theme was BLUE and BEARS. First I laid
out my design based on the number of exhibits I was going to need. I
bordered EVERY fence in the zoo with Catfish's blue vines (this was
before we turned them into fences - would've been a LOT easier if they'd
    been fences THEN! lol~).

Then I started filling up the zoo using every ingame (except magnet and
polar bears) bear, and using EVERY variety of bear that Ghirin had
    created (they're GREAT!):

In keeping with the blue theme, the garden and aviary sections:

    August 2008:

I started a zoo just for fun, and the theme is a combination of Atlantia
    (a user-created theme that I made)
and Rainforest with some extra fantasy thrown in (which will show up
later. I'm not going to show the entrance area just yet, as I have more
building to do in that area.

One of my favorite UCA's (user-created animals), the black caimen...

...leading right into the lavagator exhibit (they're fiery in the water,
    very cool!)

Down the stream from the lavagators are the crocodiles:

And next come the fishing cats:

    Followed by a different stream:
