Been Busy

So, today was a busy day. This morning I had to take Braden to the ENT. Everything is good. The ear infection he had last month is completely gone and his ears are healing appropriately. We're just in watch mode now. I came home and got some laundry going, but just felt so drained because of the weather, so I started reading my book. I've gotten to a great part in it and didn't want to put it down, but I had to in order to get the kids from the bus stop then make dinner.

I really don't think I'm cut out for the weather here. It's not just the heat, but the humidity as well. It's been over 60% humidity the last two days and I'm not responding well to it. I've increased my water intake, but that doesn't seem to be helping so I'll have to try something else. Now I'm off to find my notebook so I can finish typing chapter 15 of my story and get on to writing chapter 16.

Now I'm confuzzled: are you reading or writing a book, luv? hm, obviously writing - did you mention this somewhere before and I missed it? what's the theme, can we have a sample, a preview, anything?

besides, I thought genki was writing a book?! and speaking of which: how's the status there, genkiiiiii?


We're back to winter here, it seems. I'd long for some "heat" even!

What kind of book ARE you writing, Luv?

My joint venture? Scrapped. He may still finish it someday, but I am no longer in contact with him. I gave him free reign to use the ideas I had for his story, but that's it, no book-writing for me.

LOL, I'm reading, actually finished today, the book my son bought me for Mother's day and I'm also writing. I posted some of the first chapters at the pub. It's under A Warrior's Tale I believe as that is the name of the story. I have a total of 6 or 7 stories started and I work on them as the muse takes me, however I have shown this to several friends who have encouraged me to finish it and to think about getting it published. I'm not convinced that it's anywhere near good enough to publish, but I like writing, it helps clear my mind, especially during DH's deployments and training, which is when this story started. This one is about a princess who is also a warrior and refuse any suitor who is not her equal in battle until she meets a member of her very own guard that throws her for a loop ;) I haven't finished yet and I don't want to give any more away. If you're willing to give me your email addies I'll gladly send the file along as it is now. I'm still typing chapter 15 so that's only partially completed.

Now, I have made some edits to it as I've gone along writing, so it's not exactly as it should be there, but it's where the story began.

luv, thanks for the link and the explanation Sounds fascinating, as writing (in this context) is totally strange to me. I'd love to read your book, the story sounds just like my kind of theme, but can't promise, as both reading bigger texts onscreen and in English are difficult for me. Have it bookmarked, though, (seems all of the writers there have become awfully quiet, huh?) and am wishing you much fun with continuing it and energy to keep it going.

I've been typing when time allowed over the last couple of days and I have 7 more pages to type to finish up chapter 15. If you like what you read in the link and would like to try the whole thing just let me know and I'll email it to you.

It's 167 pages right now. I'd hate for you to use that much ink on it especially when it's not even complete. I will email it to you whenever you like though.
